  1. I partially saw them open for the Stones in Detroit 13 years ago. Wasn’t paying attention at all, they truly did suck. Not Journey-level of suck, but still suck.
  2. Unless they play QB, don’t burn any high draft picks on high motor lunch pailers, especially if they may be roidheads*. Better safe than sorry. * to be fair, I haven’t studied him enough to determine if this is indeed the case here.
  3. Well, if it’s in a book, it has to be true.
  4. Peters is the only one I miss. Well, I guess TT and Fitz for the back-up QB too.
  5. I'd have to watch them a lot more, but I would take Oliver on principle.
  6. Usually what happens is some self-appointed, vocal 'experts' start crying when a team signs a player they don't like because they've read bad things about him on the internet. After that, all it takes is an announcer slamming said player on TV for a bad play or 2 while showing the replay, and voila, whipping boy! If he's pointed out for a bad play in a couple games, BIG whipping boy... and yes, I do speak from experience.
  7. Other than Vontae, it's still too early to call. I do remember 2006 being brutal, with names like Robert Royal, Tuten Reyes, and Melvin Fowler coming to town. They were trying to emulate the Pats, who signed a ton of low-level FA's that greatly contributed to their team. Thanks Marv.
  8. Agreed. He looks really old these days.
  9. I would expect this in the New York Times, not the Bleacher Report.
  10. I’d expect that from the New York Times, but not the New York Daily News.
  11. Brilliant post! Whaley was the chump of all chumps, seven years of FAILURE. He left a huge mess behind, but it’s no coincidence that the drought was broken the season after he was fired. The people on here who defended him right up to the end and even after have all been appropriately labeled.
  12. Just a bitter Whaley gem. I agree, he is not missed here, not at all.
  13. I don't know, but I bet they are trying to quickly figure it out.
  14. Only a matter of time before Miller is cut. I think it’s highly unlikely he is still around after the bye week.
  15. Yeah, I guess I’d take him now given the current situation with Davis, but that’s not saying too much. I’d be happier with a healthy EJ Gaines. Now Gilmore? I wasn’t too happy to see him go. Didn’t cry either though.
  16. Woods is the only one I might want now, though I was not a big fan of his while he was still here. I don't think he would've stayed anyways though, USC guy going back to LA and far away from TT.
  17. I ask: Why is John Miller still here? Why is Shaq Lawson still here? Why is Jim Overdorf still here? Why is Chris Brown still here? Why is John Murphy still here? Why is the statue of Ralph Wilson still standing?
  18. Never stopped that nitwit GHost.
  19. https://footballmaven.io/bills/gameday/on-second-thought-the-buffalo-bills-really-are-that-bad-Gg01Ox07kkOafZGrhCag6g/ Fair and honest takes as usual.
  20. No doubt in my mind that McD leaned more on what he knew in/from Carolina than the soon-to-be-fired, dead-men-walking Whaley & staff. I can't say as to how much Beane was directly, unethically involved.
  21. See, I think Beane owns Allen a whole lot more more than McD does, but I'm a bottom line kind of guy... though you may be right about him being a 'plant'.
