  1. I will give him some credit for playing better than expected against the Pats last year.... but he was staked a 21-7 halftime lead in 2010 against the Steelers & folded in the 2nd half. I find him to be very Bledsoe-ish... or Drew-ish if you will... and that, I can just not abide. Indeed. He does throw a very nice deep ball, & he is very durable, I'll give him that... but that's all he brings to the table.
  2. I see all of Sucko's games here, and some of Rivers'... and like I said, no, Rivers hasn't been good this year, but his intangibles dwarf Sucko's. IF he becomes available (which is looking more & more like a good possibility), I would sooner spend $ on him than Sucko, that's all. Ravens have had superior talent for many years but only one ring to show for it. If/once it becomes apparent that Sucko is not going to be the one to get the job done, I can't see Ozzie dragging it out any longer. ETA. Cam Cameron has coached them both, & there's no doubt in my mind who he would rather have at QB.
  3. Rivers is not having a good year with the Chargers, but he would be a monumental upgrade for the Ravens. If they are going to drop some coin anyways, this would be a much better move IMO... great fit on that team.
  4. I would have to agree with Vinny Cerrato on the Baltimore FAN today. Dude is not instinctive at all, he's not very good at making plays when things break down... also very slow with his reads. He compared him to Montana & Young who he had with the 49'ers (which was VERY unfair, I know ), but again, I just don't like statues who can't think for themselves. Also, his leadership intangibles hover just above zero, he is extremely lucky to have been drafted onto that team.
  5. If he keeps having performances like the one he had last week, it'll be pretty easy. There's a good reason why Ozzie hasn't talked contract with him. Actually, I hope they do re-sign him though, I need all the ammo I can get being a Bills fan here in Baltimore. The fanbase is getting restless.
  6. Sucko isn't worth the average $ of the Top 10 QBs either.
  7. Highly unlikely that Joe Sucko gets a franchise tag, as there is no way in hell Ozzie Newsome pays him the average of the top-5 QBs. Just say NO to any more statues, even if they are only semi-brain dead like Joe.
  8. Agree 100%. Don't miss Pos at all, but Byrd is another story,,, can't blame him if he left though.
  9. That was very lame, they should've gotten the boot yesterday... if they win, they will never shut up.
  10. Well, he's only been here two years now... not as bad as the dimwits who kept spelling Ruben Brown "Reuben" or even "Rueben".
  11. Longevity is definitely an issue... but he is a huge reason why the Broncos have 2 rings... plus he was the best RB in the league (or at least close) during those years when healthy. Like I said, maybe... probably not. Drew Bledsoe... still waiting for that call.
  12. That is pretty cool... so if Curley Culp makes it into the HOF this year, will he get kicked out of the HOVG? ETA: Oh, I see he gets an asterisk next to his name.
  13. Yeah, if they ever open a Hall of Good, then Cris Carter can get in... not even close to being worthy of the HOF though. My picks: Charles Haley Larry Allen Jonathan Ogden Mike Strahan Andre Curley Culp Tuna has to wait a year... not sure if anyone else on that list is truly worthy, maybe T Davis.
  14. That is too great. I'm glad to hear he is a really cool guy. Never been impressed with Morrissey though, I bet Plant really would kick that wimp's ass. I see that Page, Plant, & Jones will be on Letterman Monday after receiving Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday. http://ultimateclass...avid-letterman/
  15. That's awesome... does everyone recognize him, or can he slide around undisturbed? Yeah, the shriek is long gone, but the most surprising thing to me about that show was that he still made it work, I thought the vocals would be a weak link.
  16. I agree that JP should not have been just handed the starting job, he was brutal. But Kelly Holcomb > Drew Bledsoe. Hell, Shane Matthews > Drew Bledsoe. No doubt TD should have gotten better and true competition, but Bledsoe absolutely positively had to go. especially after the Steelers debacle.
  17. Even his family knew that bringing Marv back as GM would be a disaster of epic proportions. Absolutely correct move by TD to get rid of the Brain Dead One then. He never, ever should have given him an extension before the season started.
  18. Exactly. Wasn't awesome at all, it rather sucked.
  19. If it counts, my Blu-ray of Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day came with the CDs. Haven't played them, but the BD was a very pleasant surprise, they really brought it that night, Kashmir in particular blew me away.
  20. They were pretty damn good at the end of the season & their playoff run... but they just barely made it in. Not a great team in my eyes.
  21. If the commissioner has the power to kick Ralph out of the HOF, that would be first move. After that, my next two moves would involve getting rid of parity as we now know it, I'd have to think a bit on how I would do it. The league is too watered-down anymore, it's been a long time since I looked at a Super Bowl winner & said "Now that is a great team."
  22. Well, just look at him in his avatar, there's a good reason why he's driving that bus.
  23. This Bills team is woefully lacking in veteran leadership though... today I heard the Ravens might be interested, that's probably a much better fit for him, if he makes it that long.
