One cool thing I took from it was the detail about how they evaluated every throw he ever made multiple times. Then they put the other top guys in the same position to predict what they would have done. I wanted Rosen, I'll admit it, but after watching every full game of Allen I could find it is hard not to be impressed. Baker, Rosen or Darnold on the same team would have been mid 50's comp % too. And Rosen would probably be in a body bag.

I think it'll be close to last year, maybe a touch better. A big part of the equation is the teams you play. We've got some good offenses on the schedule but we've got quite a few that will probably be bottom half.

Hopefully this is an early encouraging sign that Daboll has them in a position to succeed.

This. We've heard how obsessed with detail McD is. It wouldn't surprise me if he had his hands on this one. Literally the day they hired him, the content got very sparse.

I wonder how much of him being "more decisive" has to do with his reported work in the off-season on his arm strength? The ball could be getting there faster simply because his noodle arm is more al dente than last year. We have seen a few positive reports on Peterman but I hadn't seen anything in particular about his arm strength. We may have to wait until the TBD camp reports to really know.

Great post. I do not think the talent level on offense is a big enough drop off from last year to ensure we will be worse on offense. Coaching and play calling will be key. If Daboll is the real deal and willing to play to our guys strengths, we will be at least as good as last year. Let us not forget just how bad Dennison was last year. His play calling was infuriating, especially in the red zone.

Listening to McD, I really get the impression that they are going to go the Mahomes route with Allen this year. Anyone else get that vibe from this mornings presser?
