  1. A few of the short misses smelled of this too. He had one in particular to Ivory that looked like a bad throw at first glance, but it was just a miscommunication. Ivory squatted and JA expected him to keep moving into space. This happened at least one other time where he threw the ball exactly where he wanted but the receiver wasn't in the spot. Time and reps will cure misses like this.
  2. I agree he'll learn and he did make some good short throws. I do not think he's incapable of taking a little off. I'm just saying he looks most comfortable when he's ripping it. I think it is normal for a QB to play to their strengths, especially early in their career. It is why running QB's often take off and run before they should. They are reverting to what they are comfortable with. His greatest strength is his crazy arm. He will likely try to make more "wow" throws early on than he needs to. His natural mentality is that of a gunslinger. As he learns and progresses he will figure out that every throw does not have to be a rope and hopefully he'll be more comfortable with those types of throws. All in all I was very impressed with JA.
  3. He seems to be most comfortable firing the ball as hard as he can. At some point he is going to have to work on his touch. There are just as many situations in a game where he will have to take a little off as there are situations where he needs to rifle it. I do believe it is a skill he can work on and in time add to his arsenal. But his natural propensity is always going to be the rocket-ball a la Favre.
  4. I've accepted what this season is going to be. I am completely fine with it. In 2 years we'll be able to properly assess this regime.
  5. Where has this D been? Finally dialed up some pressures and boom. Only took em 6 quarters to figure it out.
  6. Who'd have thunk the Bills D would be worse than the O?
  7. I got to meet SJ at a convention for work. He was absolutely awesome and truly has a place in his heart for Buffalo and Bills fans.
  8. I'm excited to see how the kid plays. I expect an all around better performance by the whole team and think we have a shot today.
  9. I love the Buffalo ladies but his hooker options are vastly better in the city.
  10. Play action, 7 yard curl to Zay.
  11. Star played very well on Sunday. I do not understand the narrative on him. He was constantly doubled and still got a great push. Did you watch him every play? I went back and did and you are incorrect.
  12. 18-29, 206, 2 td 1 int
  13. KB setting himself up for a 1 year prove it deal at the vet minimum.
  14. AJ going to win it for me this week.
  15. Cordy looking good ?
  16. Same, and I benched the Ravens D last minute for Denver. Let's get another one AJ!
  17. It went like this..."hey, it was close. Call it a pick and they can review it."
  18. This makes me even more frustrated that we traded McCarron. Peterman is the ultimate fools gold practice hero. It shocks me that he was able to fool McD again. Here's to hoping that JA is ready!
  19. Exactly. I'm not anti McBeane but the decision to trade McCarron does not look like a prudent one in hindsight.
  20. Yikes. What a terrible pass.
  21. I went back and watched Star specifically today and I wasn't upset with his play at all. He was doubled damn near every play and still pushed the Ravens line back at times. I don't know what more he could have done.
