  1. It's one person from those crews, though it's the one in charge of that crew.
  2. It's playoff time, time for a new thread.... WC1 - Bills at Houston Tony Corrente is the referee, who is in his 25th season and 22nd as referee. This is Corrente’s 19th postseason assignment, including 8 Wild Card Playoffs, 5 Divisional Playoffs, 5 Conference Championships, and Super Bowl XLI. Yrs 2019 crew College Occupation R 99 Tony Corrente 25 Cal State-Fullerton former college officiating coordinator, retired educator U 102 Bruce Stritesky 14 Vinovich Embry Riddle airline pilot DJ 6 Jerod Phillips 4 Martin Northeastern State elementary school teacher LJ 65 Walt Coleman IV 5 Novak Southern Methodist financial advisor FJ 116 Mike Weatherford 18 Novak Oklahoma State energy trader SJ 86 Jimmy Buchanan 11 Blakeman South Carolina State insurance agent BJ 111 Terrence Miles 12 Novak Arizona State quality control manager Replay official: Mike Wimmer Replay assistant: Bill Ellis Alternates: Alex Kemp (R), Ramon George (U), Mark Steinkerchner (LJ), Gary Cavaletto (SJ) Since this is a mix of various crew members, not the same crew for all season, lets look at how each one did at their last Bills and Texans games. Crew Member - last Bills or Houston game - result - penalties Tony Corrente - We've actually had Corrente and his crew twice this season, against the Redskins and Steelers. The Redskins game seems to be an anomaly with just two penalties called on the Bills. Redskins at Bills - W9-24 - 2/20 Bills at Steelers - W17-10 - 8/70 Colts at Texans - L30-23 - 10/54 Pats* at Texans - W22-28 - 8/79 Bruce Stritesky Bills at Cowboys - W26-15 - 7/53 Texans at Titans - W24-21 - 5/27 Jerod Phillips Bills at Jets - W17-16 - 7/55 Texans at Chargers - W27-20 - 6/65 Walt Coleman IV - Mike Weatherford - Terrence Miles Bills at Dolphins - W37-20 - 5/50 Jaguars at Texans - W12-13 - 7/47 Texans at Buccaneers - W23-20 - 4/35 Jimmy Buchanan Bengals at Bills - W17-21 - 7/55 Texans at Jaguars - W26-3 - 7/60 (London game) Titans at Texans - L35-14 - 5/35 My biggest concern with this crew, is having three members and one of the alternates from the same crew, instead of mixing it up more. If there was any reason to say a fix is in, this could be it. Especially one being a Coleman. Three guys told to either miss key penalties or get plenty of wrist exercises in for the flag throwing this weekend.
  3. My biggest beef with the final trilogy is with the light saber battles when the two people aren't in the same room. We go from the originals where you can only sense someone is nearby if you're actually close to them (Obi-wan/Vader on the Death Star, Vader/Luke on Endor), to "let me just project myself across the galaxy and have a talk/fight with this person".
  4. We should start a list of the locals that could (doesn't mean they will) host TBD members coming to B-More... @SDS @R. Rich @Limeaid @DC Tom
  5. ESPN has it at 69,016. I think that may be the tickets sold number, not actual attendance. I would say at least 65,000 showed up.
  6. Big cup, ha, amateur. Gotta go for the 1 pounder.... https://www.hersheys.com/reeses/en_us/products/reeses-peanut-butter-cups-1-pound.html
  7. According to the weather app I looked at, starting around 11am, and between 1pm-4pm it's showing 100% chance of rain.
  8. Weather forecast is mid 40s and rain. Bills are in in the playoffs But the game means nothing in terms of seeding. And it will be on TV What do you think the attendance will be? I think low 50,000.
  9. Eh, these people choose to put themselves out there, for better or for worse, with their own gimmick. So really, if you're gonna make fun of one person, you need to make fun of them all. 13. Week 17 - Jets at Bills We last saw Rogers earlier this year, when the Bills played at Titans, back in October, winning 14-7. This crew seems to like to make it rain, throwing 11 flags at the Bills for 78 yards, and 8 at the Titans for 60 yards. A similar story the following week when they worked the Jets vs Cowboys game, Jets won 24-22. Jets got 8 flags for 105 yards, the Cowboys got 9 for 68 yards. Look for a slow paced game with lots of flags this weekend. 15. Years ago, leaving work and notice one of my headlights is out, so I stop at a local auto parts store to buy a new one. This is back when some cars still had a complete headlight unit, not just a bulb, that had to be replaced. Get not even two miles down the road and get pulled over. I'm wondering why because I definitely wasn't speeding, I think it was a 40mph zone. Also, note I'm driving an '86 Toyota MR2, a two seater sports car, red. Cop comes up, acting all angry, "Do you know why I pulled you over?!?!" No sir, I don't. "You have a headlight out!" Oh yea, I noticed that tonight when I left work, I already bought a new one to replace it. "Show it to me!" I hold up the plastic bag "Take it out of the bag!" I take it out without saying a word and show him "Okay, you have a good night!" I still don't know what had him so pissed off. -------story two----- I'm out with a friend of mine, we had just left the movies, had gone there with two girls we worked with, but they left in their own car. I'm driving my friends Ford Bronco, and we have an open case of beer in the back seat. We're both of legal age. Cop pulls us over, after coming out of a KMart parking lot. "Do you know why I pulled you over?" No sir, I don't. "You didn't use your turn signal when you pulled out of the parking lot." (Note, it's a divided boulevard, three lanes each directions, with a median in the middle. We had no choice but to make a right turn out of the parking lot) Okay, I say. "Have you been driving up and down the boulevard tonight beeping at me?" Uh, no. (right at that moment, on the other side of the boulevard, we hear beeping. Cop whips his head around and sees another Ford Bronco) "Have a good night!" jumps in his car and takes off. I got out of a speeding ticket, 70 in a 55, on Rt 104 between Rochester and Oswego, because the Trooper had grown up in the same small town my sister had currently been living in, south of Buffalo. A town so small, they didn't even have a single stop light. He was actually laughing when I named the town, he was so surprised.
  16. Several years ago, at a home game, there were five people standing up in my section, towards the end of the game. They were all wearing the same players jersey. All five jerseys had something different about them. Either it was the font on the name plate, the numbers, the striping, even the colors were a little off. If you saw them individually, you might not even notice it. But seeing them together, it was obvious some of them, or maybe all, went the cheap route.
  17. I’ve made donations to the Human Fund in all your names.
  18. @KRC may be able to answer that one.
  19. I've worked on systems that do positional tracking in small scale environments. While the technology is there, it's still not 100% feasible. Easiest way, but not the cheapest, would be to pull out the entire field and place sensors under the turf, we're talking like 10 feet apart. So imagine the cost of all that equipment. Then you also have to hope they don't get damaged, or the wiring corrodes, etc. Maybe someday, yes, it can happen. I just don't see it happening soon.

  21. Go to the Buckhorn Exchange for dinner one night, myself and a coworker went when we were out there, for just the two of us was easily over $100.... http://www.buckhorn.com/ And if you're interested in a short trip outside of the city, Colorado's oldest bar is in Golden, CO. You could go there after touring the Coors factory. https://buffalorosegolden.com/ https://www.millercoors.com/breweries/coors-brewing-company/tours
  22. You're thinking of Rick Reilly. VG talked about how great it was taking your girl to games all bundled up, and they loved it.
