  1. You need the Cali version, Fire Guard.
  2. Don't go cheap. I did my first wedding and was very disappointed. We had better photos from the guests than the photographer. Same goes for video and DJ.
  3. I think I’d look for something thoughtful and cheap then. Has she mentioned any favorite restaurants? How about a gift card to one she likes? The wife and I actually do love getting restaurant gift cards because then we can have “cheap date nights”.
  4. Old, refurbished barns seem to be the big draw around here lately. Each one we checked out while looking for a venue, we were told needed to be reserved almost a year in advance, due to demand. But, hey, if you're serious, here's one for sale.... https://www.syracuse.com/news/2019/11/a-complete-nightmare-bride-finds-out-wysockis-is-closing-7-months-before-wedding.html https://www.weddingwire.com/biz/wysockis-manor-cicero/1000379a8dc1c530.html
  5. We had our reception in a fancy hotel, I think cost per person for meal and open bar was about $90/each. Were you invited? Is this supervisor and family close enough to you to even invite you to the wedding? Is this colleague just being a brown noser? I've only gone to someone I worked with wedding once, because it was a small company, under 10 employees, and me and the groom did hang out together outside of work. Another term for a Jack & Jill.
  6. What I remember is the Raiders defense needing to call a time out during the first series because they couldn't keep up with the Bills speed. I looked for the play by play to verify that, but couldn't find it. Instead I found this article with these quotes.... https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2014/12/20/bills-raiders-afc-championship-game/20694577/
  7. Cause he’s old and can’t hold it as well anymore, and refuses to wear Depends.
  8. It should be for the rest of the season. And instead of just sitting at home, he should be made to do some service. Like washing the jock straps of every NFL player, by hand, no machines, after a long, sweaty, workout.
  9. Saw them a couple years ago. The concert was going out live on the Youtubes. BTW, the started 45 years ago.
  10. Probably because it's more "environmentally friendly" for all those granolas that live there. Plus parking "downtown", not at the strip malls, is hard to come by.
  11. Only if it guarantees two wins against NE every year and multiple SB wins.
  12. If I cut back on groceries, power, heat, insurance, clothes, and convince the wife to take on an additional job or three, I might be able to swing that monthly payment.
  13. My wife was always about busses/cabs since she doesn't drive. But when Uber/Lyft came to Syracuse, she became a convert after her first ride, because of the cost. It was costing her about half to take an Uber as it did before in a cab. Some cab companies here are trying to get in the game by offering their own app, or even jumping on Uber/Lyft, but they have had to let drivers go. Side note - I remember hearing on the news when Uber was here interviewing people before they started, of one guy that quit his job, bought a big SUV, just to be a full time Uber driver. I wonder how he's doing now. Oh, and she will always use the manned checkouts.

  15. All the locations here in Syracuse suck. I've never had good service at any. But I still go, knowing how it will be.
  16. Week 11 - Bills at Dolphins Last time we had Scott Novak was last years game against Indy, he was the Side Judge under Brad Allen. 17. And now there are none. If only my powers could work on the Bills/Pats* games.
  18. Sunset for Boston on that day is 4:14PM, so it'll look like a night game.
  19. If it’s Garth I know my wife will want to go.
  20. I’m blaming this guy, he shouldn’t have gone out to a bar to watch the game. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2019/11/gov-cuomo-crashes-upstate-ny-bar-to-watch-bills-game-with-fans-photos.html
  21. They did it with Alec Guinness in the original. Go watch his fight with Vader and see how plain it looks compared to some of the later films.
