  1. Kinda crazy. http://www.neowin.net/news/amid-protests-egypt-shuts-down-internet
  2. I don't think he's trying to get sympathy... I don't understand why there's so much venom for his symbolic gesture. Yeah, everyone knows he's not going to starve to death. But it IS a nice gesture to make. would you prefer he made $10M for doing nothing during a lockout year?
  3. It's this: Sisko >>>>> Picard
  4. I've never heard anything negative about Android... And have a few friends who use them. Weird.
  5. There's actually a ton of Packers fans in Minnesota too -- many people grow up in Wisconsin and go to the U of M for college, and then just don't leave. The two big schools in the area of U of Minnesota (Twin Cities) and U of Wisconsin (Madison). Twin Cities is big campus, big city life. Madison is party town. Agree 100% on all counts. He was asked to remove the tie TWICE. I'm sure the owner wants to keep his marketing ties with the Bears, and having a guy wearing a Packers tie could easily put that at risk. What's so hard to understand here people? Right out of college I started a job and wore a shirt and tie to the first day. My boss looked at me and said, "You're wearing a tie? What, are you trying to show me up? Take it off!" Guess what I did? I took it off.

  7. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. I was literally like WTF?!
  8. Kinda like how everyone was blasting Lovie Smith and the Bears GM? Fans B word. Like Levy said - if you start listening to them, you'll end up sitting with them.
  9. Keep in mind that the Bills helped GB get to the Superbowl, indirectly. Remember when we drafted Losman? Word around the league was that the Packers wanted him and would've taken him next. If they had done that, no Rodgers the next season. And who knows where the Packers would be now? It just shows what a crapshoot the draft is.
  10. Skip Atlas Shrugged, and just play Bioshock instead. Same concept, more fun. http://www.overthinkingit.com/2009/02/25/the-myth-of-atlantis-atlas-shrugged-and-bioshock/
  11. Yeah - Kindle. Also not a comedy (sorry), but "Let the Right Ones In" is excellent. I haven't seen the American remake though. I'm always fond of Galaxy Quest, Meet the Fockers, and Starship Troopers for a good comedy.
  12. Sort of.. Except this was really being developed, then scrapped, then started over from scratch, then scrapped.... etc. Oh, and I think the game will be good.
  13. It's the anticipation. The game has been "in development" for over 13 years! The original Duke Nukem was the best FPS game of its time. It's crass, it's humorous, and it's tongue-in-cheek. They pulled it off perfectly the first time, and people are hoping that this will be the same.
  14. Cold enough to make a squirelcicle. http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/dpp/weather/frozen-squirrel-minnesota-jan-20-2011 (it was -21F on my way in to work today with a -42F windchill. Brrr...)
  15. We even have a release date AND a preview video.
  16. Bills tickets are reasonable compared to most cities in the NFL.
  17. Has this guy's home frozen over??? ---> http://www.neowin.net/news/hell-freezes-over-duke-nukem-forever-available-worldwide-may-6th
  18. I think "Pizza & Wings" flows better personally.
  19. I have no experience with that program, but I'm currently doing a Masters program at Boston University. It's hectic (they take a 14 week semester and cover it all in 7 weeks....), but I'm actually learning more than I thought I would in the online setting. We have multiple lectures every week (recorded, in case you can't attend live), TAs are always available, as is the professor. I'm on my 4th class and aside from one where the professor was a jerk (smart, but a jerk), it's been fantastic. Hope that helps a little, even if it's not in your field.
  20. It was in the lecture notes so I didn't have a chance to. "Even when businesses in the same industry are fierce competitors, there are reasons for them to cooperate in limited ways with one another—in fact, this is known as coopetition."
  21. I don't see what the problem is with most of the ones on the list. Also, price point has nothing to do with the specific price of something. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_point Anyway, I just learned a new one in my class today -- coopetition. It's when you cooperate with your competition. Now THAT'S dumb.
  22. My wife and I compromise - we put BOTH seats down, so that way we BOTH have to lift it up to use it. Problem solved!
  23. I'll admit that they're probably the best chain pizza place that I've had.. But there's at least three better pizza places in my city of 11,000 people, let alone a bigger city (or anywhere in WNY).
  24. Yes, it's obviously the evil, vile, video games.
