  1. http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000913028254/ The user comment is the best though: "The large one looks like it would kill you and wander around the house with your red blood on it's stark white body."
  2. I spelt it right. You, on the otherhand, wrote speeling.. (I love the edit button) CW
  3. The followup is great though. "we are in school getting are lunches stolen." If you're going to post a two sentence followup, make sure everything in it is correct CW
  4. It was pretty good. The first 45 minutes (character setup) dragged on a bit I though. The last 15 minutes were great. We'll see how it goes. The dream was very cool (and kinda creepy). If you noticed, the very next time that guy saw the girl she said, "I never thanked you for helping me last night," word for word what she said in the dream. CW
  5. Yeah, she's sure ugly http://www.buffalobills.com/cheerleaders/2004/jamie.jsp CW
  6. When was the last time you've seen a team trade two players in one trade in the NFL? Doesn't happen. CW
  7. TiVo; I can then watch what I want, when I want. I don't really watch that many shows though. These are the only ones I watch: Veronica Mars Lost Judging Amy Enterprise Aqua Teen Hunger Force Point Pleasant (potentially) Battlestar Galactica (potentially) I'd much rather watch a show that has an actual story arch, rather than a bunch of individual standalone episodes. Unfortunately, there aren't many shows like that... CW
  8. ...except we get the same cap hit whether we cut him or trade him. And if everybody knows we're going to cut him (based on what everyone's saying in this thread), why would anyone trade anything for him when they can sign him for free later? CW
  9. I don't care if the Bills release DB -- if they do, it means they're confident in JPL, and that's good enough for me. But to say, based on this interview, that DB is definately going to be cut is ludicrous at best. CW
  10. TD spoke - and yet I didn't hear the words, "We're cutting Bledsoe" come out of his mouth... When will people learn that TD never speaks in full-truths? CW
  11. What silence? He already HAS said it's his team. You want him to say it daily? CW
  12. No, it's not about the city at all; it just happens to take place there. The show was decent. The first 45 minutes was rather slow, but it was mainly character development. The last 15 minutes hooked me enough to watch the 2nd episode (which airs tonight). And here's the bit that will attrack the attention of TSW members: There's a lot of girls in bikinis on the beach in this show. No kidding. The "kill me" sex dream the guy had was kinda creapy as well... CW
  13. This question gets asked a lot and, unfortunately, I don't have any of the older games yet. If people want to make them into DVDs (like Rubes did) and give them to me, I can distribute, or if people have VHS tapes I shohuld be able to onver to DVD (given the time), but otherwise I don't have any or I would I used to have the Superbowls on VHS, but my parents taped over them while I was in college. I would've liked to see XXV again personally. Sorry I don't have better nes. CW
  14. My wife works for H&R Block and does our taxes for free. That said, I have to recommend against using Turbo Tax. Intuit is screwing customers left and right -- first they put major spyware and product activation in Turbo Tax a couple of years ago. Now they're discontinuing network access for Quicken 2002. Imagine being told that you can't use Office 2000 anymore, and that you have to buy Office XP. Ridiculous. Don't support Intuit. I've heard very good things about TaxAct. People might also want to check if they get free access to do their taxes online. I know that a few years ago, I could do my taxes online with Turbo Tax (before I hated Intuit...) because I had my 401(k) plan through Fidelity. Login to Fidelity, and there was a button to do them online for free. Something to think aboiut. CW
  15. This time, it's not EA: http://games.slashdot.org/games/05/01/19/1...?tid=187&tid=10 Pretty soon there will be only one video game for each of the major sports, and that sucks for consumers... CW
  16. That's correct -- sorry for the confusion. I argued with the guy there enough that he *claims* he'll setup a request for my refund which should be approved tomorrow and then he'll overnight the check to me. I have his direct number, so I can call and complain if I don't get it (assuming he's not on vacation all next week...) suckincincy, FHA loans aren't just for struggling people -- it's also for people who make a good wage, but don't have the 10-20% downpayment for a house. That's the boat I sit in. We wanted a house, but didn't have a downpayment ready. The downside is that I'm paying mortgage insurance... And I have to have an escrow... But that's the price you pay when you first start out I guess. CW
  17. God this sucks... I'm *still* trying to get my property tax refunded back to me. Two weeks ago I was told "5-10 business days." Today they're trying to tell me "5-10 business days." All of this because they screwed up. Enough to make someone want to refinance just to get rid of the crappy escrow clause. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: Wells Fargo. Got some inside info at least... Apparantly they sent a check to my county in the amount of $865,195.19 on the 23rd, then put a stop on it on the 30th. Then sent another check in the amount of $865,772.67 on December 31st, then put a stop on that on January 10th. Then sent ANOTHER check on the 14th... Nice to see how efficient things are going behind the scenes... CW

  19. No, but that's the setting. I should find teh link that really talks about the show... Basic preimse is there's this girl who is born from Satan and a mortal woman. She doesn't know her heritage. She falls off a cruise ship (or the ship crashes, or something), and she is rescued in Point Pleasant. Things start going crazy after that. It's billed as a cross between Twin Peaks and The Omen. We shall see. Here's the official site; it's got too much Flash for my liking... http://www.fox.com/pointpleasant/ CW
  20. http://web.media.mit.edu/~ladyada/make/minty/index.html Seriously -- I'd pay some money if someone could make this for me. CW
  21. It kinda does, but because Marti Noxon worked on it, I think it might be good. She's done some *amazing* shows in the past. You should check it out; what's an hour? CW
  22. The producer is Marti Noxon, so it could be very good. Of course it's on Fox, so if it's good it'll get cancelled.... http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/01/19/t...t.ap/index.html CW
  23. My wife just started grad school to get her MBA. No vacations for us for awhile CW
