  1. Why do you say 15 year sago? My english teacher taught me hanged/hung over 20 years ago... And I don't think it was new back then.
  2. Possibly the last game in the IRC chatroom? Come be a part of history http://www.twobillsd.../fan_zone/chat/ Includes full play by play for those who can't watch.
  3. And here I thought this thread was going to be Kindle-related....
  4. We ended up watching Inception and Invincible last night. Inception is an AMAZING movie - HIGHLY recommended. Invincible was a decent football movie.
  5. Looks like the C64 rumors are still swirling: http://www.neowin.net/news/commodore-usa-releasing-updated-c64-nostalgia-grips-millions A new guy bought the rights in April 2010, and a few days ago he put some pictures of a C64, complete with authentic case. At this point, who knows if it'll happen, but it's still fun to remember the past.
  6. You sold your sub...?
  7. We usually stay in. We were invited to a friend's party today, but they're on the other side of town (about a 50 minute drive in good weather) and we're supposed to get freezing rain today, so we had to cancel. We always eat a surf and turf dinner (wife's making filet + snow crab!) and watch a movie (Probably Inception tonight).
  8. That's what a subwoofer is for... Then again, I'm not really a music guy - I'm a home theater guy.
  9. This is probably a feature that our Alaskan friend may find more worthy of talking about.
  10. Yup, still running the Paradigm Studio 40s in front and 20s for the surrounds. Sound great. My boss bought the Paradigm Studio 100s v5 for his fronts. They sounded AMAZING in the store. I still need to get over to his place to check them out - he said they sound just as good at home.
  11. Nobody said it was difficult, only that there are many advantages to the Kindle. These aren't the most important ones, but all of the advantages do add up.
  12. It's also nice when at the start and end of a book -- easier to hold.
  13. Amazon has just announced the ability to "lend" eBooks to others. Downside: The feature is up to the publisher to enable/disable and you can only lend a book once. http://www.neowin.net/news/amazon-kindle-now-allows-book-sharing
  14. Mine is the difference between hanged and hung. Pictures are hung, people are hanged. Unless they're hung, I suppose...
  15. He never did as far as I know. A tour of the place would be awesome though - I should definitely look into that! Maybe even write a story.
  16. Pretty neat use of a printer: http://www.neowin.net/news/3d-printer-used-to-create-a-real-concert-flute
  17. They're a Minnesota company, right down the street from where I work.
  18. Am I the only one who thought of this? http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41SbyeDsDAL.jpg
  19. That's actually a good idea! No harm in trying!
  20. Hmmm... Playing in fantasy football, do I start Atlanta's defense (vs the Panthers) or the Texans (against the Jags)....? Houston's defense was available, so I just put in a claim to stop my opponent from doing the same, just in case (although he has Pittsburgh, so I doubt he would've).
  21. Yeah. Or maybe eBay or something.
  22. Exactly! Although other people thought it meant this: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/FFS
  23. You realize that domain names cost almost nothing, right...? And did you miss the part where I said every company does it? If you actually have a job, I bet your company has them registered as well.
  24. Yeah, I have the western group. Next year I'm thinking about seeing them in Buffalo and then in Minnesota, just to see some of the differences. My family's never gone, so it might be a nice Christmas gift for them if the timing actually works out.
  25. Went to the show last night (2nd row aisle), and it was AWESOME. Caitlin Moe on violin was great. The band was hamming it up quite a bit too. Since we were in the 2nd row, they could see us pretty well and they were posing for pictures in the middle of songs. I wish I had brought my camera -- I could've had some amazing shots with my dSLR and 50mm f/1.4 lens. I thought they did a far better job this year than last year -- in 2009 they butchered "Old City Bar" by practically making it a slapstick comedy routine. This year aside from the intro, it was excellent. Two thumbs up!
