  1. Actually they are fulfilling the promise fully. Only problem is "BUST" is the 1/2 of the promise they are keeping.
  2. I can't believe anyone is concerned about this nonsense. If you use talk to text and don't proof read and fix the mistakes you sound like a derelict. I see a lot of examples of this phenomonen on TBD.
  3. Actually he left for 4,000,000 reasons.
  4. I may be wrong, but I don't think EJ has ever lost to Fish either. Sqwished them soundly in September 2014. His rookie year I don't think EJ payed them at all. Thaddeus took care of the honors.
  5. Sammy doesn't have to apologize to me. I have no idea what he said on Twitter or what others said about him. And, I really don't care. Just catch the football is all I ask.
  6. If out D shows it won't matter who is at QB, we should be good. But, you gotta go with EJ regardless. Josh Johnson is not good at all.
  7. Twitter is dumb.
  8. Throw Sammy under the bus. I got it. I'm a if you can touch it you can catch it guy, but that pass was really high. Did you watch the replay I posted?
  9. Fixed and answered. One more to add. Hillary voted for the Iraq War. Why is this now acceptable?
  10. Patsies** take off the bye week too just like all teams do. It's the rules. Further up thread I posted a link to the rule.
  11. So I guess we can longer speculate on football plays because we don't have all the "nuance"d info. Does this apply to TT's play only or does it apply to other QBs as well? Some people on TBD choose their favorite guy and then it's like religion with them from then on. Tyrod has done some really good things and some not so good things. What's the matter with that?
  12. They don't have a choice. The CBA stipulates the players get 4 days off including a Saturday during a bye week.
  13. How in the heck is a 1 foot over better than 5 over? LOL But yeah, Norwood only missed that FG by a foot. Better than if he'd missed it by 5 feed I guess. At least we got that nuance. Reminder: There are no style points in football. That settles it. Joe was in the huddle and knew the play call and what each WR is supposed to do, right?
  14. Why not? They did beta testing on not showing the game on TV and live streaming it instead. Goodel says the stream was a success (obviously he was not at my house watching my TB buffer). It was only the Bills that it didn't work for, so he probably thinks the headset thing was a success too.
  15. Nuanced my sweet bippy. You can watch it here: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2015092001/2015/REG2/patriots@bills?icampaign=GC_schedule_rr#menu=gameinfo|contentId%3A0ap3000000534702&tab=videos I don't know about the route etc, but you can clearly see the pass was HIGH. Too high for Sammy to catch. Megatron have gotten it, but he's not on our team. I like Tyrod and if you look in the TBD archives you'll see I advocated signing him even before FA started. He has played well. However, when he throws a bad pick I'm not going to sugar coat it and say it wasn't his fault when the available video evidence shows otherwise. Tyrod throws that football a foot lower and it's a catch. Heck, 6 inches and Sammy at least has a chance to catch it. Do we provide the same "nuance" to EJ's picks Sunday? Maybe someone ran the wrong route. It's possible.
  16. Not if the pass is as high as that one was. If it were a nice thrown ball and went through Sammy's hands, then yeah, not on the QB. If it sails over his head and he jumps as high as he possibly can and barely gets his hands on it and it becomes a tip drill pick, yeah, QB's fault.
  17. So it's OK if it bounces off a WR's hands? Sammy jumped as high as he could to catch a high pass. It was a bad pass even if it didn't hit a LB in the chest twice. You're full of excuses for Hotrod. Hotrod's a big boy. He doesn't need you making excuses for him.
  18. While down by 8 in the 4th with 2 minutes left with the football to try to get a tie, throwing a pick on the first play is not a mistake?
  19. I would argue that Whaley has tried really hard to find us a QB, but good ones are hard to find. Since Whaley took over, we've had the following 15 QBs on staff at one time or other: Tarvaris Jackson Fitz Tuel Time Kevin Kolb Thaddeus Lewis Matt Lienert Kyle Orton Dennis Dixon Matt Flynn EJ Manuel Matt Cassell Jordon Palmer Tyrod Taylor Matt Sims Vaughan I may have missed one or two. 9 of these guys are presently on NFL rosters.
  20. I think this is because they can't practice it anymore. With the new CBA they can't even practice in pads very often. I have no idea how they practice tackling these days. Looks like they don't. The not wrapping up and just trying to shoulder the guy down or dive in front of the runner are my favorite ineffective tackling styles in today's NFL..
  21. Drew Brees and Peyton Manning, the Franchise QB's Franchise QB, became available as well. It does happen. Not as often as we'd like, but it does. Kurt Warner comes to mind as well.
  22. Tyrod's transition is not far off either.
  23. Did Jim and Joe forget how to play in the off season? I know Schwartz didn't like to blitz, but I thought Rex did. We had success blitzing a lot the year before last. We also had a lot of success blizing Suck for Luck. But now it seems Rex likes to play soft prevent. I think it's both actually. Not taking advantage of our guys strengths, and some loafing.
  24. I'd rather see them try to school up the refs and hold them accountable. If a ref blows an obvious call (s)he gets suspended for 4 games and to be re instated (s)he must pass a 100 question test on the rules to get back in. I'm also 100% behind Mr. WEO's idea of simplifying rules. I'd add, allow DBs to bump players wherever before the ball is thrown. Smart OCs can figure out what to do about it. Change a catch to catch it and get 2 feet down. Dump the whole "football move" and "process of the catch" nonsense. I prefer less replays to more. There's already too much standing around in football. We don't need more IMHO. ONE question for the OP. How can you challenge everything if you only get 2 challenges?
  25. This an excellent point. If I recall correctly, we made a lot of stpid penalties last year as well.
