You're dreaming if you think there's a snowball's chance in Miami Rex starts Jones vs the Jets at the Swamplands. Also if you think Rex is going to get fired with only 2 games left.
Does anyone remember 2004? We went 9-7. Had a GREAT defense. Won 7 out of the last 9 or whatever it was. Demolished the Seahawks (a playoff team that year) in their own house. We had serious mojo going into 2015, but instead decided to "rebuild" and go with a 2nd year 1st round pick QB and let a lot of our vets go. How did that work out? It took 11years before we had another 9-7 season.
Jaguars did exactly what y'all wanna do 4 years ago. Got the high draft pick "franchise QB", new coach etc. How's that workin' out? The 0-13 Clowns have done it several times.
I suppose it works sometimes, but not very often.
I vote for winning out and trying to improve our team for another run next year.
Go BILLS!!!
Maybe because he has brought 2 Lombardis to his previous employer?
Tom would have instant credibility and buy in from the players.
The age thing doesn't bother me at all. I'd rather have an old smart football coach than a dumb young one. Goodness knows we've had plenty of those.
It's all Relative. We're talkin' Bills here.
Do you prefer JP, Trent, Kyle Holcomb, Brian Brobm, Levi Brown, EJ, Kyle Orton, or Hotrod Taylor?
Am I missing anyone?
Not me. I flew to Buffalo to go to Steelers fiasco. I'm staying over the week with in laws working remotely. I'll be at the Ralph on Sunday.
I wanna see a W.
Losing is for losers.
Go BILLS !!
I've got a few.
1.Pete Carroll, Seattle Seahawks - The Seahawks were 7-9 the first 2 seasons. Hawks decided to stay with Sneaky Pete and it worked out.
2. Marvin Lewis, Bengals - After several bad seasons, Marv led the Bengals to 5 straight playoffs playing InThe same division with PItt and Baltimore.
3. Tom Landry, Dallas Cowboys - Tom started with 5 losing seasons and us now in the HOF. His 20 straight winning seasons in a row Bill Bellyache us still chasing.
I don't like some of the things Rex does. But is having 4 coaches in 6 years and 5 in the last 8 years really the way to build a winner? It also makes it really hard to convince a quality coach to come here.
In last weeks Monday Nighter, Gruden said you can ruin a young QB by playing him too soon. That sounds like a lot to lose to me. No offense, but I'm going to with Gruden and Rex'opinion over yours.
Where does this injury clause come from? Is there any proof to this? Or is it like the news yesterday that Rex would be fired today? Serious question. I've seen it all over here and a couple of callers on WGR. Where did it come from?
Blah blah blah
Rex ain't going nowhere nor is Whaley I suspect. Just because some sports put out an off the wall tweet doesn't mean anything. Get used to it.
I agree 100%. I like Jones and am glad we drafted him, but don't rush it. 3 games is enough time to develop bad habits if he's not ready. Sounds like the Bills don't think he's ready. Don't rush just for giggles the last few games.
The original premise was if we went 10-6 in which case we probably make the playoffs. Not what we have now.
But really, the Bills have 3 more games and 3 more months after that to decide.
Baltimore Ravens cut their QB after winning the SB because they didn't think he was good enough. How did that work out?
I'm onboard with this. Our D is terrible. If our D could hold teams to 20 Wed be kickin' some serious you know what. Hotrod has his problems too, but the defense problem is worse.
That's been their plan. Problem is that only works if you have a good defense which we haven't had since Coach Moron and Schwartz left town.
Heck, if we did have a good D, Hotrod very well may be good enough.
