  1. Just curious. What do you think he needs to do to "make it" or not do to "break it"? That's pretty much what last year was and he did solid but not great. Pretty much right in the middle.
  2. Jake Delhomme only played in 2 games his first 4 years. Danny White didn't play QB in his first 4 seasons in Dallas. Craig Morton played very little in his first 3 years in Dallas. Aaron Rodgers only had 35 attempts in his first 3 years. Warren Moon played 6 years in Canada before he got an NFL start. Brett Favre didn't play in his rookie year. You're right that most of the good ones do start right out of the chute. But still, there's a chance.
  3. In regards to Danny White: You're right on the establishing himself quickly. However, that was not his 5th season as a pro, it was his 7h. He played for the Memphis Showboats for 2 years before joining Dallas. He was also a franchise punter while backing up Roger. Danny was an excellent QB (and punter). Not sure why his name never comes up when mentioning "franchise QB"s from the past.
  4. By the definition I rolled up, cheaters aren't FQs.
  5. That's why I hate them and give them ZERO respect. I hate the Stealers too, but I can at least respect them. Patsies**, not no, but hell no!
  6. We'll see. He's right. We "might" BE a playoff team. Of course the same could be said of the other 31 teams. Rex is getting the hang of this announcing thing.
  7. "Franchise QB" is just a dumb term somebody made up with no real definition. Roll your own definition and argue about it. Silliness ...
  8. I was never in that camp. Ask the Fish about either last year or 1972. Jeff Hostettler anyone? This if your starter gets hurt you're done anyway assumes the injury happens in week 3 or so. But what if we're 8-6? Trot out some rook who hasn't played just to see what he can do? With your coaching career on the line? I don't think so.
  9. I literally LOLed on this one and it's so true. With Hotrod under center we're 15-14 I think it is.
  10. This is the key to our season. We HAVE to win the close of business best we have a chance to win late. We need to win 1/2 of those. Even with a better D (hoping) we'll still need to win games like this to make playoffs. The constant in the drought has been losing a lot of close games.
  11. Sure. Just like we did with the Iraq WMD "intelligence".
  12. McCain is a war hero and Patriot and all, but as a Senator he stinks out loud. I wish he would retire already.
  13. Only if you're over 21. And anyone under is NOT going to get it at a store. They all card on entrance.
  14. He HAS to play better in crunch time. Too many times we get the football back down less than 8 and he flubs it up or at least doesn't get it done. Seattle, Miami, Eagles, Washington all come to mind quickly. If he could do better and win us half those kinds of game, we're in and the drought is over and we name a street after McDermott and build a Hotrod statue in the parking lot. I'm fine with everything else. He's GOTTA do better at this if he wants to stay.
  15. I was at that game too. Awesome win!
  16. Thanks for the heads up. I checked and I had recorded Fish. This is the NFL Channels way of rubbing salt in Bills fans wounds. Pathetic. But I was able to record the next showing and it IS Bills.
  17. I hope he vetoes it, just to see heads explode.
  18. So he's not small, he just tackles small.
  19. How are they going to advertise anything? If they're going to do it, I'm glad the bumbling boob one is covered:
  20. F#ck him. I'm so not going to miss his mediocre at best coverage and horrible "tackling". I wonder how much patience Bill Bellyache will have for his sissy style of football? Could be a bonus baby getting benched ala Larry Brown.
