  1. Colin Kapernick. If not him, I would have liked to try out Ponder. With out top 2 QBs on concussion protocol, we might want to have another vet and maybe cut Yates even though he's tied for the team lead in PS TD passes.
  2. This exactly why I seriously doubt the dump all the good guys and tank methodology. next year we add a QB and a few other guys. Year 2, some vets come up for renewal. Draft more guys. Year 3 more vets leave. Draft more guys. Year 4 (if Beane still had a job) now the year 1 guys you drafted to "build with the draft" contracts are up. Dump em and draft cheaper guys. The cycle continues. FA pretty much dictates you gotta get what you can THIS YEAR and go for it. Reshuffle next year. Earth Wind and Fire was definitely in the FA era.
  3. I'm having a hard time understanding how a top 50 drafted guy with all the tools, size, speed etc. Can play in a 4-3 but NOT in a 3-4. I'm having a hard time understanding "build through the draft" when we're trading away recent high draft picks. Their "system" better be good and Beane better be one he11 of a drafter.
  4. Exactly. You shoot pool with an employee here and you can come in and get a QB job. What does that give us? A lazy rabble instead of a thrifty working class. Didn't Yates know "the system" too? I'm starting to think these guys are more married to their "system" than the clowns we just ran out of town.
  5. I think Wenning should start vs Jets.
  6. AND one of the biggest reasons Eli got to that first super bowl was strong D and a strong run game. Michael Strahan and Earth Wind and Fire.
  7. The guys on the Vikings vs 49ers game were talking like the Bills wanted him to come in as backup for Hotrod. The TJ Yates role. I have no idea if they knew what they were talking about.
  8. I would LOVE to have Colin on the Bills. I wanted us to draft him. He threw 16 TDs vs 4 picks on an a train wreck team last year. I couldn't care less about this whole Star Spangled Banana nonsense. I just want to win. Go BILLS!!
  9. I would rather have Hoyer than tj Yates.
  10. Yeah!! I think our D will better. O has to be almost as good.
  11. When the Cowboys traded Herschel, they already had Michael Irvin from the year before (Tom Landry's Last season). They also already had Troy Aiknen who they got with the first pick in the draft. Does anyone think Tom Landry lost ON PURPOSE to get that pick?
  12. Patsies** are 13-6 in games that Tommy hasn't played in.
  13. I disagree with this part: "On top of that, there are likely a few teams that are going to finish worse off than Buffalo". Unless you consider 31 to be a few I guess.
  14. Cuttler is a step up from FannyHill/Moore. He and Gase were with the Bears when they went to the NFC Championship. Jerry Hughes could have feature length highlight reel of treating FannyHill bad. We will underestimate the Fish at our own peril. I aspire to make the playoffs. Somehow the "depressing" team was able to get there by overachieving. I want us do the same THIS YEAR. Not changing a functioning unit is smart. Rex should have done that with our D and McDermtt with our offense.
  15. How come the Fish didn't have to go through this get the right players nonsense? Their rookie HC was able to get them in in the first year. Is he smater than our new coach? gosh I hope not, we have to play them twice a year.
  16. How about Jacksonville? They did a full on tank 4 years ago including taking a QB at #3. 4 years later, they still suck and have Coach Moron for a HC. LOL. Let's do that.
  17. Of the 4 rookie QBs looking the best so far (Trubisky, Watkins, Kizer, Mahomes), we passed on 3.
  18. And then every year if you draft well, you got guys contract running out going for the big pay day. I don't even see how this kind of plan could work. Trade away your good guys. Draft new guys. Suck for a couple of years. Then when (if) you start getting good, rookie contracts start to run out and your back to signing guys to plug holes. The kindof rebuild (tank) being talked about maybe worked in the pre FA era. But you just CAN'T keep everyone you draft now. It's a revolving door. Not just us, every team.
  19. I never understood why this is a dirty hit. It's called a block. Can someone who thinks it was a dirty hit please explain why?
  20. Same could be said last year yet the pitchforks were out in force. I don't care what y'all say, I can't imagine ANYONE on here tolerating losing every game very long. It will prove Bill Parcell's right. "A coach that is rebuilding is rebuilding for the see the next coach that comes in."
  21. Looked like a legal hit to me. They're trying to play football out there. If you're afraid of getting hurt. there are other sports. Swimming. Tennis. Softball.
  22. I take him at his word. I don't have any reason not to. He has put his money and time where his mouth is all along. I wish him the best in what he's working on now. Even if he did look like and old, slow Herman Munster out there last week.
  23. Blah blah blah - the level of pessimism on here never eases to amaze me. We went 7-9 last year with a bad D and a coach that didn't know how many men to put on the field. If we don't win at least 8 or 9, we may have hired the wrong coach. Let the draft picks fall where they may. KC with a late pick was perfectly able to draft a QB early.
