  1. I think it may have happened in our division last year.
  2. If Peterman has better passing ability he sure hadn't shown it yet. He completed 1/2 his passes in the first 3 PS games and 9 of ll dink and dunk passes obviously designed for him to drop back and throw it to the designated guy. He made some really nice throws but he also threw a lot of clunkers. On 1 play, he throws it through the top gym window, across the street, banks off a basketball backboard falling softly into a trash can. On the next play he misses the WR on a short out route on 3rd down. Meanwhile in Hotrod's last real game he threw for 330 yards, 3 TDs, and ran for 60, but, he can't pass. Got it.
  3. If we're bottom 5, who are the other 4?
  4. Did I say that? But he was certainly good enough that day.
  5. ' I do because we've all seen how bad QB play affects the bottom line. QBs job is to win and he has THE MOST influence over anybody on the team whether that happens or not. If Hotrod hits Goodwin wide open in the EZ the play before the missed FG WE WIN. But he missed and we ended up losing. He could have made up for the bad defense and kicking in that game all by himself (assuming Goodwin catches the pass). Sometimes the difference is a team winning or losing is the QB. Like when Rob Johnson was QB we were gong nowhere. Then Flutie comes in and it's off to the races.
  6. Tebow made the playoffs and won a playoff game doing that. I'd take that. Tommy's last game was a big comeback. Just like the fans of Tebow like
  7. That's what good QBs do. Come through when they have to to get the win. The rest of the team BILLIEVES too which helps. I grew up in Dallas and a HUGE fan in the Tom Landry era. Roger Staubach used to do this frequently too. A W is a W is a W.
  8. And Marv. Read MarV's book. Why do you think he signed Steve Tasker off of the waiver wire? Because he was a good WR?
  9. Schedules that look difficult in August sometimes don't look so difficult in November and vice versa. rex' first win over Indy coming off AFC Championship looked tough, but turned out, they sucked. I don't know. We keep sending them players that experts on TBD say suck like Hogan and Gillislee and they win Lombardis with them.
  10. Yes, but did you forget Levi Brown or Shane Matthews?
  11. Yeah, but they rarely if ever do. They're a well oiled machine. We're gonna just have to man up and beat 'em.
  12. Like who? Besides Nathan Peterman.
  13. Wins don't count if you don't throw for over 200 yards and it's not a comeback?
  14. And it's not even close.
  15. When I think of Bledsoe I think 2004 season. After a slow start in part due to some bad luck/bad calls (push out in EZ), we turned it on. Drew played well as we won 8 out of 10 or whatever it was. I was at the Seattle game where we trounced a playoff team. Not sure what his stats or DVAO was, but we were winning and he was doing his part. That's what I base my #4 rating on.
  16. Nathan Peterman ..... ..... ..... ..... Flutie ...... ...... ...... Everybody else.
  17. Cagey Sean is talkin' up Hotrod giving the Jets a false sense of security. Then, at the last minute he's gonna spring Nasty Nate on 'em to take care of bidness.
  18. If you lead us to playoffs, all is forgiven.
  19. If it works, they'll get geniuses. If not, they'll be morons. Time will tell.
  20. For us, that's pretty good. And he did pretty doggone well in 2004 minus the last game (mentioned to save Rico the time and energy of a new post,).
  21. 1. Flutie 2. Kyle Orton 3. Hotrod 4. Drew Bledsoe 5. Fitz You forgot Levi Brown and Shane Matthews.
  22. What exactly did they say to make you think that? Preferably a quote. Everything I hear them say is Hotrod's the man.
  23. I think I know why Williams was cut and Barnyard kept. Steve Tasker said several Times in the game Thursday that the new run game is based on one cut and head upfield. Barnyard does it very well. Makes perfect sense. Joe fits the new "scheme" and Jonathon does not. One thing this new staff has shown over an over again. Theyre schemers. Respect "the process".
  24. Or the Giants with Earth, Wind, and Fire.
