I really think Nelson going down was the worst thing that happened to this team. He is so good in the slot and a big body to throw to that losing him really hurt Fitz's timing and trust of the slot. Also, I think the way to build a team is through the draft and resigning your good players. Byrd, Levitre, Wood, etc are guys we have to hold on to no matter what. Fitz will be the guy again next year only because that D needs a better group of LBs. Barnett's best days are behind him, Brandham has potential, but Sheppard is a backup. We need to get stronger up the middle on D and it starts with a MLB. QB is the First Round is 2014.

The Quarterback doesn't throw to a player, he throws to the route that will be open. Fitz said that his presnap read determined that TJ's route was the route with the best chance for success. He threw the route based on coverage. Not to TJ because he "thought it would catch the Pats offguard."

Well...I'd say that giving up 37 points was the reason for the loss. Maybe Fred's fumble at the goal line. Could have been that TJ ran the wrong route. Maybe if we stop NE and force more than 1 or 2 punts. But you are right. This game is all on Fitz. Clearly he didn't play well enough. That much was obvious.

Stay the course...thats what they say in Houston...How many time were people calling for Kubiak's head? With a little time and some quality drafts, they've built themselves a pretty good football team. The Steelers never fire coaches and they've done ok. Unfortunately nothing is an overnight fix. We can't relate a winning team to instant gratification that we're all so used to in today's cyber world.

I used to not like the idea of drafting the BPA, but I've changed my tune after seeing teams like New England, Green Bay and Houston continue to choose the BPA. You can never have enough Pro Bowl Caliber players. They (hopefully) make everyone around them better. Right now, I think our biggest weakness is up the middle on Defense. To me, if we can stop the run, we are a better team. Sheppard is not pulling his weight. If we have a chance at Teo, I think we have to take him. He is a Ray Lewis type. The guy has willed ND's defense into a really solid unit. JMO.

I agree with your assessment. I really want to see the Bills run the ball more. I know Chan believes in "passing to set up the run" but I think it is time to use the pass to complement the run. Especially in the West Coast/Spread hybrid that we are running. I am all for spreading out the D and forcing them into a NIckel package, but to throw into the defense's strength with the extra DBs is not effective.

I want the LB and then get a first or second round guy next year. I hate the square peg into a round hole. If the best player is a LB take the LB. If the best player is a QB take the QB. I'm with you, the QB's don't look like RGIII or Luck.

I would agree. I love George Wilson, but IMO he has looked a little bit slow this season (that said, he'd kick my tail in a foot race...). I like Searcy and think that he and Byrd will be a good tandem back there for us in the not too distant future. I don't see George leaving Buffalo, but he might become Bryan Scott's replacement in a season or so.

I firmly believe the saying that goes something like this: "Don't tell me who you want yo cut, tell me who you are going to bring in that is better." I will support Fitz until there is a better option. Currently there is not, so Fitz gets my 100% support. I was the same with Losman and Edwards before him. I will always support the players on the Bills because they are my team.

I think this is so fascinating. I showed a couple videos from RedBullStratos.com to my 8th grade students Friday and told them to watch on Sunday. I'm going to be watching. Hopefully some of them will.

I just think the term "retarded" used in this type of context is ignorant. You really can't think up a less offensive word? Maybe its stupid to get upset about it because it's a word, but even a small vocabulary can come up with a synonym.

Thats my problem right now too. I am 26, single and just started a new job in a new city and I just don't like it'd be right to take one home right now. Hopefully once I get a little more settled in my job I can be around more for the pooch. Also, I was thinking about this they other day, the dogs are rescued from pounds and fostered by families. Many of the dogs are a year old + so many are house broken and crate trained. I see that as an advantage because he or she wouldn't be messing up my carpets! Dude, God Bless you for trying!
