  1. Sometimes the facts just can't please anyone. Ok, ok, Fine. I realize there are people on this board that just hate the players we have on the Bills. Thats good. I have faith in our guys and believe in them and let their play and numbers, not my perception shape opinions of them. But yeah, Fitz and his 62% completion percentage last year, up 5% from the year before and 7% from 2 years ago, sucks and he is not accurate and is not capable of improving. I get it now. I'm supposed to hate our players, not embrace them!
  2. For whats its worth, Fitz has a career 59.2% completion percentage, and went 62% last season. Jim Kelly for comparison had a career completion percentage of 60.1%.
  3. Belicheck's first three years as a HC in Cleveland he was 6-10, 7-9, 7-9. I mean, that team probably lacked talent too. Year 4 he went to the playoffs. Not saying its the same thing, its not, but it is something to consider. Chan and Buddy knew the Bills needed an overhaul and they cut dead weight and began making moves toward a better, deeper team. This team is much better off than its been in a decade with these guys at the helm. We only have 17 guys from the week 1 2009 week 1 roster still on this team. Thats a big turnover, and that takes time.
  4. McKelvin has 5 INTs for his career. The difference of 3, when Jenkins has had a very good rush in front of him, does not sell me on him over McKelvin. I like Leodis. I think he is a good player and will have a good year and hopefully several more in a Bills uniform. Williams, Gilmore, McKelvin and Brooks are going to be pretty darn good in the Dime with Wilson and Byrd roaming behind them.
  5. I'm not generally a fan a redheads. I think Dalton is washed up.
  6. Well, that Iowa for ya.
  7. I recall Johnny White being an excellent Gunner on STs. I don't care either way, but if we are looking for a ST guy at 3rd RB, then it has to White. Time will tell.
  8. I don't think Vince will create a controversy. My buddy, a Giants Fan, keeps telling me that VY will be our starting by October and I just think he's crazy. Vince is our backup. He will not challenge for the starting spot, and will be a great relief option if Fitz gets hurt, but he will not create the Fitz or Vince debate.
  9. I was a little confused until I realized that its Mother's Day and read the 4th post in the thread. Maybe that will help.
  10. I think that when Dick and Bobby left Nix and Chan filled the Roster with guys who could play offense and defense and then figured out the STs later, and that is why it fell. We got rid of guys who were only STers like Ellison and company. April had too much power over the roster and it hurt when the injuries came. Now that we have a roster that is actually capable of playing NFL football, we can get 4-5 guys who excel on ST and also play O or D. There is a difference.
  11. No thank you. We have enough receivers with drop problems...
  12. Me: Wanna hear a joke? Person: Sure. Me: Women's Sports.
  13. After seeing that video, I would take Fendi and Caussin as Chandler's backups.
  14. I hope Dareus has more of these kind of things to say. Love it... The whole quote with the "mmmmmmph!" is hilarious and outstanding.
  15. I'm done with Chris Kelsay. I met him, and he is a cool dude, but he offers very little outside of Run Fits from the DE position, and frankly, I'm over him. I would not at all be surprised or upset if we cut him.
  16. I thought I recalled hearing the Bills players, specifically David Nelson, talking about the use of iPads for their day jobs...
  17. The Top 10 Picks are 5 year contracts, I believe. Edit: Top 10 are 4 yrs with a team option for the 5th. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/20/fifth-year-contract-formula-could-push-tannehill-out-of-top-10/
  18. No. We don't need aging vets in their twilight! We are trying to put together a young core of guys to help this team win. It would be counterproductive to cut a guy like Donald Jones for Ochocinco. They would give you the same skill set and number of catches, the only problem is someone else would grab Jones and develop him, while we would watch Ocho stumble off into the sunset. NO!
  19. I say no. We'll be just fine. I don't want a guy with the kind of baggage those guys bring.
  20. This is so bizarre. Its a long read, but really interesting. From Deadspin.com http://deadspin.com/5906658/is-an-espn-columnist-scamming-people-on-the-internet-[update] and http://deadspin.com/5906849/sarah-phillips-admits-she-concealed-her-identity-made-poor-choices-with-who-to-trust
  21. CHAMPIONSHIP! Lol. I like our chances at doing well and breaking the drought. I'm more of a wait and see kinda guy. Would love improvement. 6-10 last year means a 3 game turn around would be great, so I like 9-7 with realistic chances for 10 to 11 wins.
  22. I went back and forth on Asper and Brown. My reason for taking Asper was that he can play both C and G and so can Urbik. I don't know as much about Brown, other than Buddy said he likes guys that can play two positions because you only get 7 active on Sundays. If Brown can play G too then it will be an interesting Camp Battle. Maybe Asper sticks on the PS. My reason for Heard over White is that in the 4-3 system I believe that you'll need at least 5 DTs and 6 LBs. Heard gives us that, but again, I am not in any position of knowing and maybe the preferred position in the LB and 7 LBs is better than 5 DTs. Regardless, this competition is going to be fierce.
