Caught my eye in week one, and didn't catch my eye in week 2- both in good ways. He's off to a good start, imo.
p.s. that is one ugly theme you have going on with the avatar/name.
Jeesus, someone's shooting you they might be giants on your Bday. I mean, you're doing nice things for people- you don't deserve that kind of treatment...
Happy Birthday, and well done on the board!
Trying to look at it from both sides, how'd they do?
Seemed like they let the game play, but it was a bit too raucous where I was at to catch much of the announcing/replays, so wondering what everyone's impressions of the Week 1 reffing are.
Not a scrap of truth in this statement. No team, ever, anywhere, on any level of competition has or will ever be in 'tank mode' in their first game. The Jets were fighting to prove all the tank garbage wrong. Somewhere down the line they may accept their fate if nothing goes right, but none of these players are laying down week 1. Shoot, we may have just played the Jets in the most motivated and finest form they'll be all year.
I saw them last fall in Portland-enjoyed the show. They did China Cat/Rider, Here Comes the Sunshine, and The Wheel, which was fantastic! and all I could ask for.
I was way too sober, though... girlfriend.... don't ask.
It was the first time I'd seen any of the incarnations since Jerry died- so, out of curiosity because the Portland venue is the basketball arena with no real chance for a parking lot scene, is there still a parking lot scene around the shows?
So, today is the anniversary of Keith Moon's death. Just one of those things I never forget.

Didn't think I'd like the drummer/commentator guy, but did, and he had a couple nice thoughts along the way too- it makes sense, Moon was interpreting everyone's role in the entire song as he played along... he totally did. I also liked the line about having a 106 piece band, 102 of which were K. Moon haha. )

Well, Vegas has us at 200-1 to win the SB, second only (in the bad way) to the Jest at 1000-1
We're not even tied for second... Jags, Browns, 9ers, Rams, Fins, Lions, Bears... and more, all at 100-1
I think we're all circling the same drain on this one, haha.
It's like, I have so many bands I'd list before the Dan on my 'must listen' list... but then, when I'm actually listening to SD, I just go, 'yeah, these guys are just so fuggin' ... right' .... every time. Great damn band!
Aja.... smoothest( but still rock) album ever made.
My Old School.... sheeeeee.
Took Michael Douglas 9 years to catch up to the royal scam.
Acquired taste or whatever it was, I'm glad I got it. )
Only a fool would say that... is one of their finest, and the cover is classic, but Do it Again, to me, is this weird painful trudge that is so not like the best of their catalogue.
Awwwww bummer... just heard about the whole affair from this thread.
Such a fantastic array of fun/dreamy/cutting songs and albums. (I love how they have such a large contingent of 'haters' too haha- they must've been doing something right. )
It kinda does actually. Some of the reviews say bland, and when I think hot dog chili sauce, I think 'double ground' on the beef should be about the first thing the author emphasizes, but the ingredients look close enough to right.
Ima hope this thread is where I find that elusive hot dog chili sauce recipe I've been looking for for decades now. )
