Extending him this year makes no sense. Pay him his current 20mil, use the 13-20mil you're not spending on an extension to get him OL/WR help in FA, then feel it out with the new coach for a year. Pay him his 40+ next year if it looks good.

Kinda torn on this one. I haven't seen them since the Quadrophenia redux tour... and it was fantastic, but I think I'll be let down if it's a rehash of the radio staples. I wish they'd shift into some of their lesser knowns and Pete's solo work- I think they could still put together a relevant show from that material. Saw Townshend solo in a small venue in '93- it was great, and so much less bloated than the gigantor production I fear. I'll probably catch this one, though... might be a last chance, and the teenage me still treasures the core of their existence.

He did other projects for a lot of his life and rejoined the Monkees in 2010 or so, after the first one died. He didn't tour with them before that. I don't think you're senile yet, but If you saw the original Monkees on tour, you're probably getting a bit close.

I frickin hated watching him dawdle around to his sets... I watched it through the entire game. Gotta admit tho, whatever that stumbling around he was doing pre-snap, he was effective.
