  1. Curt Warner... not the QB, Tony Dorsett, Christian Okoye i think of Wendell Tyler mostly as a Ram, and he did fumble a lot. He carried the ball sooo loose- great at bursting through traffic, then he'd just drop the call in open field haha
  2. Same one, but he was the most fragile player in Tecmo Bowl history... not even close. Just wondering if anyone else remembered him always getting carted off and on IR. Tough crowd
  3. I wasn't around for Jim Brown and Gale Sayers... or OJ, so I can't speak to all time, but Earl Campbell was just a monster on the field. I'm sure every DB, and linebacker, in the league dreaded Houston Oilers week while he was playing. Side shout out to Joe Cribbs. Any Bills fan who doesn't know how good this guy was should look him up, pure electricity in his prime. Willis McGahee dreampt about being as good as Cribbs.
  4. Any relation to Eric Metcalf? ... promising player, but couldn't last a single play in TB. Another season would start for the Browns, and first play Metcalf would get carted off haha. If injuries are a concern, I'll have to defer to Tecmo on this on- so please just no
  5. They can't show you the halftime show beforehand because it hasn't been put together yet- no lie. I recently met the gal who is putting together the social media for the Super Bowl brand of the NFL. The whole SB 'show' is still a work in progress. Aside from the Patriots* losing, I couldn't care less about the SB show... as long as Fox isn't doing it- their cameras are always annoyingly mis-matched and Buck/Aikman are robotic blowhards.
  6. Nah. Starting in 2021, we're gonna be going for 10 straight years.
  7. Probably would never happen, but make the outcome the determiner for the location of the next available SB location. AFC wins, the 2021 SB goes to an AFC stadium, etc
  8. That's especially sweet knowing that the stearns family couldn't even afford the capitol letter for their name!! seriously, though, waaay nice on Robert Foster. )
  9. It was like a salt lick. Hardly go there for news at all, but I get misty-eyed wondering how Jeffrey93 is developing as a young person trying to navigate the complexities of Canada. I also hope MacAddict104 stopped with the gambling away of his children's Christmas toy funds.
  10. Bring blind-side corner blitzes, run some wide 9 early, I don't care if we give up 17 on the first 3 drives, just nail his ass. Rattle him for the rest of the game. Brady is sub-par when he's pressured, that's his ***** weakness and it's so painfully obvious but we never exploit it
  11. Sorry if this comes off douchy, but I'm fighting a couple drinks to type this up. I think our D pressure cost the game. We got a few moral victories from our D pressure packages, but more D moral losses in that regard. Seriously, bringing 8 and getting nowhere near the QB Yay, we made Brady throw 2 errant passes. Plenty of concepts have been developed, and we need a coach who understands his opponent, and calls the better alignments more often than not. Our D could've done better with the talent at hand. Brady's a ***** pansy princess primadonna... get to him. That's his weakness ferkrissake You don't play these fuggers 1 on 1, you go after the damn quarterback
  12. I was living in SF and going to some of the games when he was OC. He had a young Alex Smith and did nothing with him. Those offences were awful to watch. Stunning that he got a HC nod.
  13. I hate to say it, but, bring back the scabs. It was the most balanced refereeing the NFL has had in decades. No more nepotisn.
  14. It's a surgical procedure for quadriscopic vision- it gives better depth-of-field.
  15. I don't know if they'll have football available, but the folks at Cafe Mignon in the Bastille were the sweetest people in all of Paris, afaic. It's a father and son who own it- They let me take over the music for a night, if they can get Am Football, I'm sure they'd happily roll with it. Fun, cool, laid-back place with great food and clientelle. My best memory of Paris.
  16. This may be a bit hard of hearing to the younger folks, but to anyone into Fugazi back then well
  17. I've seen him a couple times- that dude is a monster on the guitar! (fun show and good songwriting too. )
  18. Only a Celtic fan would remember it that way, haha. The Lakers won 5 that decade to Baaahstan's 3. The Lakers won over the Celts in '85 and '87, giving them the 2-1 edge over the Celtics. Nice try, and it's 3-1 Magic over Bird with the NCAA Championship...
  19. If you want to see the greatest display of teamwork, I've ever seen, check out the 80's Lakers sometime. That was fluid, and that was teamwork, and that was one whole big ball of talent pulling it off. God love football and the Bills, because this is my sport and my team, but it's a herky-jerky collaboration of opposing sides under one banner who make up a football team. The 80's Lakers were the greatest 'team' of my lifetime, and I hope our Bills can do something to even approach that.
  20. The only reason I could find for optimism with EJ was that he was on the field... which gave him a better chance for success at QB'ing an NFL team than, say, me, who wasn't on the field. Allen actually has a reasonable shot at becoming a good quarterback!
  21. Wait, no Pulled-Pork-on-a-Bun??!! Next you'll tell me there's no Hot-Dog-on-Stick? No Gilroy-Garlic-Franch-Fries with Chardonnay-Aeoli? the NFL just doesn't care anymore I'm taking my Man-Pesto and going home
