Are The Bears Wrecking Caleb Williams?
Captain Hindsight replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah the issue is Caleb. I don't know if its in his head or if he isnt putting in the work, but he is missing passes and not playing within the system. He constantly looks like hes trying to make a big play and not working on the little things. His last game had several missed lay up type plays. It just kills the offense when you have 3rd and 10 instead of 3rd and 3 -
Seahawks release Tyrel Dodson - UPDATE claimed by Dolphins

The only rings Dodson has a shot in Miami for is onion rings -
the Daboll/Schoen regime - on the brink, it seems

The Colts had Luck at the time. Denver always baffled me. They had just signed Case keenum to a 20 million dollar contract and thought "nah we good" instead of taking Allen Back to Jones. I've been higher on him than most people. I've always thought he had one of the worst supporting casts in the NFL (except Barkley) and was routinely getting beat up in NJ. Every once in a while he'd make a big play or do something really impressive. I could see the talent. Then he had a decent year in 2022 and they made the playoffs. But what made no sense to me, was how the FO handled it. They gave Jones a big contract and franchised Barkley. I would have done the opposite. Jones had 15 TDs that year. He was ok, Barkley was the offense and the playmaker. Make Jones prove it again. If he did, its the same commitment. If not, tear it down and start over. It surprising because Buffalo did the same thing in 2017. Overachieved, made the playoffs (nearly won a playoff game too) but the FO recognized that Tyrod had taken the team as far as possible and blew it all up. Why Schoen and Daboll didnt follow that model never made sense to me. My bet, is ownership stepped in and told them to keep Jones -

My theory is that was all ownership. They had just benched Eli the year prior and messed up his start streak and were trying to do right by him. Barkley was/is a fantastic player. They didnt miss on the player, but that was horrendous roster building that they are still paying for today -

What is the test criteria for that....

3rd time. They did it with Fields and Nagy too. Edit: Missed the top 5 comment. 3 straight times with a 1st round QB tho is insane -
Embarrassing or hilarious? I personally love watching smug teams that havent earned ***** get humbled week after week

I have been very vocal about how I thought Salah was a terrible HC and deserved to be fired. That said, he should have been fired in January if they wanted to do it. Waiting until week 6 with a season with expectations this high is just admitting you messed up. Everyone knows that who staff are out next year. Rodgers has been ok, but the rest of the team has checked out. Very poor decision to move on that early in the season

This was suppose to be a rebuild year
Captain Hindsight replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is the NFL. Even the bad teams are good. Bryce Young and Daniel Jones are horrible by NFL standards, but given the right circumstances, they could beat any time in the league. Before the season the Jets and Dolphins were shoe ins for the playoffs and to challenge for the division title and possibly the AFC. Now they are a laughing stock and Denver, who most thought would be a terrible team, went toe to toe with the chiefs yesterday. The margin between great and good and bad is so thin and often times just comes down to coaching, attitude, discipline and often times, just dumb luck. -
Does Jerry Jones fire McCarthy on Monday? The GM too?
Captain Hindsight replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hes 45-30 as Dallas's coach. Dak has missed nearly 20 games in that time. Not bad honestly Also, Today was McCarthy's birthday. Ouch -
Even the script writers would like that

Captain Hindsight replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall
He fired Wade Philips in season and replaced him with Jason Garrett. Its not unheard of for him Funny enough, I dont think McCarthy is the problem there. They are built like a kid collecting cool named players. Thats on the GM -
Pretty much the same if they are in the lineup too

Best End of Season Scenario for Bills
Captain Hindsight replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean, it would be shocking. But the Chiefs have to be one of the worst undefeated teams I've ever seen. They remind me of the 2020 Steelers. They started 11-0 and then lost 4 of their last 5 (including to the Bills) then got blown out in the playoffs. Their first loss that season was to a Washington team that was 4-7-1 at that point. Flawed teams eventually get exposed -

I think he has to be the QB coach first. Per tradition

He was just trying to make Seattle feel better. I often let my kids catch me so they can feel cool too

“Allen sure likes to jump over people. We gotta be tall and not sick” Seriously this team just run over by James Connor. Ray Davis and Cook are going win a lot of parlay bets

TNF. Jets Texans. Who do we want to win tonight?
Captain Hindsight replied to Billyhouseman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jets still have a ton of talent. Eventually they win a few games. That said, I took the Texans to win -
