Bills 2023 schedule 7th hardest (based off of 2022 opponents)
BobbyC81 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, their 2022 schedule was rated one of the toughest. -
Nathan Peterman?

Bills need to hit on picks to have a chance
BobbyC81 replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, the picks aren’t performing but there’s more to it than that. How good is this coaching staff at teaching/development? How good are they at adapting schemes to the players rather than trying to do the opposite? Remember when they had Epenesa gain weight, which didn’t work out. -
Most of the regular season games I watched this season were boring. The Bills started out the season great and exciting but even they became just above mediocre and not as much fun.

Nothing will compare to the NCAA College Football hiring an ad agency to come up with a name for the playoffs and it was ‘College Football Playoff’. Hope they didn’t pay too much for that
-
Here’s the thing though. States that don’t have state income tax, get their money from real estate tax. Unless a player plans to rent, he’s likely going to buy a mansion so will pay taxes anyways.

Jim Overdorf is like the Chris Kelsay of the front office. Change in ownership, changes in front office, yet he’s still there. He must know where the bodies are buried.

Why can’t they just smoke the grass indoors?

Why not in Dunkirk?

NFL Honors award winners (Daboll is COTY, Mahomes is MVP)

C’mon, he also has Pro Bowl TE Dawson Knox, who scored a TD in the flag football game. -
How did the Patriots maintain a top team for 17 years?
BobbyC81 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, it was worse as 20 years, not the 17 the OP said. -
0-0 to start.

That’s very interesting. I moved to California from Buffalo in 1980 when there was a lot of earthquake activity. Some time later I saw that UB was awarded a grant for earthquake research over Cal-Berkley, which made no sense. I did some research and found that there was a lot of earthquake activity in Western New York, but mostly ones and twos. My sister, who still lives in Buffalo, frequently has said to me she’d rather deal with the snow than earthquakes. I guess i get the last laugh for now.

Yeah, the Rams may have had a lousy season but they have the Super Bowl trophy from last season to cherish forever.

Purdy torn UCL out 6 months, seeking 2nd opinion
BobbyC81 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve never understood why they anointed him as starter. All they saw him was in training camp, preseason and a few snaps during the regular season. It didn’t make sense to put their Super Bowl aspirations on him with that limited experience. His injury may have been the best thing for them. Sure they ended up having to start Purdy, but at least he had 4 years in college. So, their QB stable will have 2 guys coming off major injuries. Jimmy G may still be around since their may not be much free agency interest in him with his injury. -
Saffold said guys were "exhausted" this week and "out of gas"

Would anyone be surprised at an announcement like this by Morse: “After much consideration with my family, I’ve decided to retire.” His contract demands will also likely go up with another trip to the Pro Bowl. -
It may have been long but it was good and thorough. Some people have the attention span of my dog. Squirrel!

Im convinced its coaching (Chiefs showing how to handle Bengals)
BobbyC81 replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t see the Pegulas firing a coach that has taken them to the playoffs in 5 of 6 seasons. They made a bad choice with Rex and a bunch with the Sabres. I don’t believe they would get rid of the one they got right. -
Yes, for all that Diggs has done for the Bills, I believe that Minnesota won that trade. Jefferson is already one of the best, if not the best, wide receivers in the game. Minnesota still has him on his rookie contract, while Diggs’ contract takes up a fair chunk of the Bills’ team salary. Diggs is 29, while Jefferson is 23 with many prime years to come. All that being said, we don’t know how much of a difference it would have made for Josh to have had a rookie WR instead of Diggs, and for Jefferson to have been expected to immediately be a WR1 with a young QB versus starting with a veteran QB in Cousins along with a veteran WR in Thielen.

Bills Coaching Staff Changes Thread

Then the WR coach should be fired. Gabe Davis didn’t take that next step. McKenzie was inconsistent. They then had to bring back Brown and Beasely. -
Buscaglia: Both Bills Coordinators are likely to be back in 2023
BobbyC81 replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wondered if their attempts to “help” Dorsey, actually made it worse. Brady, an experienced play caller, was brought in as QB coach, so you had a rookie OC over a veteran. Then, they brought in Mike Shula as a consultant. Could there then have been too man6 opinions and voices for Josh? -
Anybody hear/read an explanation why this guy was the sacrificial lamb? I haven’t found any. Did they draw straws and he got the short one?
-
In my opinion, part of the reason the D-Line underachieves is this mass rotation approach. Even though a player may benefit from less snaps, rotating a bunch of mediocre guys thru is unlikely to be as good as playing your best 4 most of the game. Most of these guys are in their early 20s so they can surely play most of the snaps.

Since Frazier’s contract now ends, they don’t have to do anything but hope he just goes away. After he checks with Beane on the status of a new contract for a few weeks, he might get the message. Then they just announce that they mutually agreed to part ways.
