  1. The second obsession is even worse, that the Bills should trade for one of the elite QBs (or at least an almost elite QB) on other teams, as if the management of those franchises are insane enough to trade Rivers or Brees or Roethlisberger or any of the rest, as if it never occurred to them that their success is built around the QB position. But those other GMs are not morons, so if they did in fact show a willingness to trade one of those types of QBs, you can be assured that they have determined that that player is about squeezed dry and they're going to try to snooker some rube. As what happened when the Bills traded with New England for Bledsoe.
  2. Yuck and more yuck! In a prior post, Leroi said a big splash was coming. I don't consider McCown, Hoyer, Moore, Locker or Sanchez as big splashes. I would consider Cutler as a big splash though. We need to think big.
  3. I didn't believe it since Whaley had come out saying the head coaching candidates had to be open to let Manuel compete for the starting job.
  4. A trade for Roman's boy Kaepernick?
  5. Yeah, I wish somebody could pull up a pre-draft evaluation of Brady.
  6. What about Jermichael Finley? He injured his spinal chord in 2013 and sat out last year. I wonder if he's still looking to play?
  7. NFL Free Agency starts two weeks from tomorrow (March 10th)!!
  8. Had Allan Branch and he left and won a Super Bowl.
  9. McCown is just not that good. If you look up 'mediocre' in the football dictionary you'll see his picture.
  10. Hogan is an Exclusive Rights Free Agent. He's not going anywhere.
  11. Ugh! I just flashed back to plays we saw made by both Rob Johnson and Trent Edwards: behind late in the 4th quarter- probably last possession, 4th down, they're rushed out of the pocket and they run out of bounds way short of a 1st down. Game over! Aaarrgghh!
  12. Has anyone else watched this? Pretty cool stuff. That was great! Thanks for sharing.
  13. Tyler Myers is also from Katy, Texas. Once the Sabres' season is over, get him in a Bills jersey! He's obviously big enough at 6'-8".
  14. He's like a politician. Gives a long-winded answer that doesn't really answer the question.
  15. A guy from the movie industry: Keanu Reeves
  16. Bills and Boys on Saturday Night Live? Cool!
  17. Brady traded to the Bills for a 1st round pick? We've already seen that movie. It doesn't end well.
  18. I now feel fortunate that I was able to go to Super Bowl XIX in 1985 at Stanford. At the time I paid $125 for a $60 face value ticket bought outside the stadium. I went down to Pasadena for SB XXVII without tickets and an approach of waiting for ticket prices to come down closer to game time backfired when demand exceeded supply. Best deal we came across had been $1000 for 3 tickets ($333 each) for what I believe were like $150 face value. Now, with the lowest face value tickets of $800 for this year's game, I just can't justify paying that (much less any markup), even if the Bills were to make this game, just down the road in Santa Clara.
  19. I normally hate the Grammar Police on Forums but I am somewhat saddened by the butchering of the English language that I see so prevalent. Now, instead of the contraction like "would've", there's a consistent use of "would of", "could of", "should of" including in business documents, national news articles, etc. And don't get me started on the use of same sounding words like their/there/they're and our/are
  20. But the Jags are on the rise with Maroon and Can't Hackett
  21. Maybin is likely the reason Chris Heff has phobia of Penn St players.
  22. Yes, why? Have you forgotten Paul Posluszny, Bryan Scott, John Skorupan, Keith Goganious, Booker Moore, Richie Lucas and Scott Radecic? Rex wasn't there when the Jets drafted Dustin Keller but he coached him for 3 years so he should look for some production out of the position. And how could I forget Shane Conlan?
  23. Jason Campbell was the QB for the Browns when Josh Gordon went nuts in 2013. I don't know what he does to wear out his welcome in so many places. 5 teams in 9 years, 4 teams in last 4. He's 33 now though.
  24. Wait, was that deja vu from 1989?
