  1. Happy Birthday TC!! That decision by the refs brought back memories of "just give it to 'em!"
  2. Kid? He said he saw OJ play in 1978. That was 36 years ago. By the way, you should've used "know" instead of "no" in the highlighted sentence.
  3. Hello, Doug Whaley!! Get Kyle Orton's agent on the phone!! Geez!! The hell with worrying about EJ's confidence. He seems pretty confident since he thought he did well yesterday.
  4. And guys like Chris Kelsay. I never understood the team's fascination with him and signing him to extensions for pretty good money before his contract was up when he was only an average player.
  5. And the only QB to lead the Buffalo Bills to league championships, Jack Kemp, was consistently UNDER 50%. I know it was a different game back then but just saying.
  6. Yeah, Legursky was horrible on Friday. He supposedly is nursing an injury so then why have him out there with all the linemen currently on the roster. Fighting for his job I guess but losing with that performance.
  7. And the Pats like Mallett so much, they spent a 2nd round pick on Garoppolo.
  8. John Wawrow now says Golisano has submitted a bid. https://sports.yahoo.com/news/ap-sources-trump-first-meeting-bills-135841497--spt.html
  9. Great job of researching and great info!!
  10. I'd like to know what the Trust expects as "assurances". A signed document stating "I will not move the team from the Buffalo area" that would likely not hold up in any court if not followed?
  11. Dude, Normally I get annoyed by the Spelling & Grammar Police but since you are a heavy contributor to this thread, your butchering of the English language cannot be ignored. Time for your English 101 lesson: 1. If you are referring to something that a group, including you, possess, or in this case, are a fan of you use "our" not "are" 2. If you are referring to something that another group, not including you, possesses, etc. you use "their" and not "there". 3. If you are going to use a contraction (that's two words combined) for "you are", you use "you're" and not "your" That's enough for now. Study up. There will be a quiz later.
  12. I set my DVR to record 3 hours and still didn't get all of Andre's speech. I was on buffalobills.com and saw a video with the length of 26 mins that I thought would be the whole thing but the page refreshed and it was gone.??
  13. That made me just flashback to "just give it to them" in that one New England game.
  14. It's fun watching UB's Mitchell Watt playing for my Golden State Warriors' Summer League team. He's a longshot to make the team but I'm rooting for him. Also on the same team is James McAdoo, Bob McAdoo's distant cousin from North Carolina. He looks good so far.
  15. That reminds me. I was walking thru a parking lot the other day and saw a car's license plate that started with MOF0. Got a good chuckle out of that.
  16. 1979- What if the Bills took Joe Montana instead of Jon Borchardt? Would he have had a Hall of Fame career? I say 'No' because Bill Walsh maximized his abilities and the Bills still had Joe Ferguson to start. Would the Bills still have drafted Jim Kelly in 1983? Probably, because I don't think Montana would've been successful in Buffalo and it was time to replace Fergy.
  17. In Jim Rome fashion, your post should've been signed. "JeMarcus Russell"
  18. The abnormally strong rookie seasons of Cam Newton, RG3, Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson sure have affected expectations and evaluations for rookie QBs. EJ Manuel's 11 TDs, 9 INTs, 1972 Yards, 58.8% completion percentage, and 77.7 QB Rating in 10 games was not a bad season for a rookie. Take a look at what some of the top NFL veteran QBs did in their rookie seasons or 1st full years as a starter: Peyton Manning: 26 TDs, 28 INTs, 3739, 56.7 Comp %, 71.2 QB Rating Drew Brees (1 game as rookie, 16 in 2nd yr): 17 TDs, 16 INTs, 3284 Yds, 60.8 Comp% , 76.9 QB Rating Tom Brady (1 gm rookie yr, 15 in 2nd): 18 TDs, 12 INTs, 2843 Yds, 63.9 Comp%, 86.5 QB rating Eli Manning (9 gms): 6 TDs, 9 INTs, 1043 Yds, 48.2 Comp%, 55.4 QB Rating
  19. I agree. The new CBA sure caters to the lazy player with so few mandatory practices. I just can't relate to the professional football player sometimes. The team leaders should be on these guys to get their butts in there. Same with holdouts. I think if I was a veteran pro football player and whether it was a team with championship aspirations or a team that hasn't made the playoffs in 14 years, I'd be on a guy to get his butt in there because we needed him to get ready for the season. Football requires too much teamwork and practice repetitions for a guy to holdout and show up just before or after the season starts. I couldn't believe it when Jason Peters was holding out into training camp and nobody had heard from him. Even a few of the veterans at the time voiced the opinion that "that's his deal".
  20. Gary Busey as GM!! LOL!!! After seeing him on the Apprentice and now that commercial for Amazon TV, that motorcycle accident he had while not wearing a helmet appears to have done a lot of damage. He'd likely make a Ricky Williams type trade and give up all of the picks in the draft for a 5th round prospect.
