  1. Is the "Sapester" available?
  2. 3-4. But they're seriously defiecien either way. They need at least a true (HUGE) NT and two OLBs to be a real 3-4. The Bills have adequate backups at those positions on their rosters To go to a 4-3, they need 4 OLBs including depth, because these backers are smaller and based on speed. They need at least 3 DEs including depth, because Kelsay is the only viable DE for a 4-3... weight in this position 250- 270.
  3. What a stupid post!
  4. I'm talking "how many rushing yards will Denver put up on the Bills"? Fins lit the Bills up for 254 yds. rushing today. The Broncos lit up the Pats for 254 Yds. I'm officially setting the O/U at 300 yds. WHo's in?
  5. Nice job, Chris. After tossing your S&C coaches under the bus, are you sure you're gonna be back in Buffalo next year?
  6. So what if the frickin Bills move. Why waste time agonizing over the fate of a perpetual 4-6 win team? Become a fan of the team when they end up wherever they end up if you must.
  7. They do. The Chargers. The NFL, somehow, perceives a franchise in LA will be a huge cash cow. Well, the Rams and Raiders weren't cashing in. LA has a lot of things to occupy the people there. They don't give a flip about football compared to the rest of the country.
  8. Please, name one team that would pay Steve Johnson more than $9M/yr.? The success of the Bills receivers seems to be systemic. It doesn't matter what receiver the Bills put out there, they are all somewhat productive. Chandler, Roosevelt, Nelson... they were all either a FA after the draft or waived. Basically street free agents. And, Johnson fell just one draft pick ourside of that classification.
  9. Why change something that's been working for the past dozen years? Just whip up a fresh batch of Koolaid.
  10. B-cuz, Buddy drafted 2 Div 1AA DE's to develop as OLBs... and, well, the Bills don't have any coaches that know how to develop them. Besides, Buddy hitched his wagon to Kelsay and Merriman (they were already developed... one of them was playing on one leg, the other can only defend the run at OLB). Those other guys you mention are strictly inside LBs.
  11. quote]We never drafted a true NT to make it work and then in their brilliance decided to run a "hydrid" that is really a 43. GEt used to the 43 again... Bills won't bring in a true NT this offseason either. 1) Edwards will be canned 2) wannstead takes over and he doesn't know jack about a 34. Kelsay will be back at LDE, Dareus and Williams will be the DTs and they'll bring in some "C" free aagent to play RDE, or worse, Spencer Johnson. Meanwhile, WHat doe you do with Moats, Batten, Sheppard and White... all 34 backers? Not to mention Carrington, Edwards, and Heard, none of which can play de in a 34. And, where do you come up with 5 34 LBs?
  12. Can you clarify? 2-3 starters away from what, .500?
  13. Amen. Also... No one knows whether the team will move or not if there is a new owner. That's just speculation. Besides.... where they gonna move? LA's gonna get the Chargers and Toronto doesn't want the Bills. Besides... what the hells's the sense of being a fan of a team if they permantely suck. I'd rather see them gone rather than continue with this bull$chitt.
  14. Ya never know. Coaches need to be careful. Especailly caoches that tell the truth. By saying that the team lacks talent, Chan just threw Buddy, Whaley, and Ralph under the bus. So basically he ain't responsible for any of this. But, then again, who hitched their wagon to George Edwards?
  15. Now this move I wouldn't have a problem with. And, with his mobility component, he would fit Chan's QB model. He does have a gun. I can't speak as to his accuracy. My guess is he will have some suiters. I don't think anyone is going to want him as a starter. So, it comes down to which team he wants to be second fiddle on. I do wonder though, why he's playing behind Batch. He's been with the Steelers for 4 seasons. One would have thought he'd be "the man" behind Big Ben. If the Steelers are trying to keep him under wraps for fear of losing him, well, Whaley should know something either way it would seem.
  16. Uh, dude... not sure what planet you've been on the past 12 years, but, you might want to put down the koolaid and take a "reality pill once and a while BILLS = FAIL. Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing. PS. Remember the last GB QB the Bills took off the Packers practice squad (and GB offered to put him on their active roater too... he just happened to choose the Bills). Remind me again how that worked out.
  17. This is what I mean when I mention this team has no plan or direction. Why bring in a QB that probably can't throw the ball farther than 45 yards with a good windup. Why would the Bills entertain any thought of this guy? What is he, the second coming of Kelly Holcomb? How does he make the team better? I agree that the Bills have no legitimate backup at QB, but Graham Frickin Harrell? Oh my God, Buddy... please, set your sights a little higher, dare to be at least adequate. I guess, welcome to a preview of the 2012 Bills season, same as the last 12 seasons. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
  18. Ralph ain't incompetent. It's just that winning isn't high on his priority list. THe Bills ain't losing money... and they have perhaps the cheapest tickets in the league. Ralph is about turning a buck, and he's done well at that.
  19. When you suck, you suck. Of course the Bills are going to lie down and take it in the sphinctor. They're wusses. It's been years since the Bills have come out and just physically pounded the living snot out of an opponent. And, please, those games against KC and the Skins don't come close to qualifying what I'm talking about. Think 31-0 over NE with TKO,Pat,Sam,& London bringing it.
  20. Oh there's a lot folks eating their printed words today. And many still are in denial.
  21. Don't knock Bob. He's only the messenger. I don't think you'll find more than 10% of the fans that don't believe Ralph is the biggest problem.
  22. Yes, Nelson is soft. But, so is the rest of the team.
  23. Because he watches football on TV, reads newspapers, talks to his buddies at the bar, and is quite good at Madden.
  24. don't think too many fans "get it". Sure, Edwards is in over his head and deserves to be canned. But the next guy in won't be much better. Why??? Ralph Wilson! Allow me to explain. Fans perceive that Ralph is in it to win. Wrong, Wilson doesn't care if the Bills win or lose. His phylosophy is, at best, to be somewhat competetive, spend moderately, but cautiously, and always make a profit. He has idiots in the front office to enable execution of the phylosophy I just mentioned. A GM with a plan in mind to win would have a plan to build a winning franchise. As you can see, Buddy is all ovr the place. He wants a big physical 3-4 defense built for outdoors, and in particular, Buffalo weather, but whiffs on thee fronts (that's only the tip of the iceburg)... 1) Allows Chan to bring in a first time DC. 2) Switches to the 3-4 having 4-3 personnel and doesn't even have the sense to bring in a real nose tackle, or 3-4 outside LBs to enable the transition. (Ok, half hearted attempt to bring in a one legged has been...Merriman) 3) Brings in Wannstedt, a 4-3 mythical wonder guy, who hasn't done spit since the mid 90's with Dallas, to compensate for the mistake of hiring Edwards, further stunting the transition to the 3-4. Ralph Wilson likes losers. He has no place for winners. And, anyone he hires that attempts to build his Bills into one will promptly removed.
  25. Check out this last comment from Chris Brown's blog on the Bills website regarding Torell Troups upcoming surgery. "He successful return could go a long way in making Buffalo’s defensive not just deep, but potentially dominant." WTF? Deep? at what? A bunch of matadors? Dominant? Sorry, somehow, someway I just cant' get that visualization of them being on the same level as the Steelers and Ravens. Maybe if I lose a few brain cells and drink a hefty does of the Bills FO Koolaid I might.
