IIRC, he broke his friggen leg trying to score from a yard out. Assuredly, this happened -and on MNF. Not sure it was this particular game, though..

JJ Jefferson? Well, he WAS a PB WR for Air Coryell, but he’s a little long in the tooth these days.. I’d pass..

His only real claim to fame was coming in for an injured OJ on a classic MNF game vs. Raiders, Season Opener ‘74. We came back late to win, giving Oakland their 1st ever MNF loss.

I’d feel better if our backup wasn’t Matt Barkley. A 2 game, 1st Place record is definitely rarified air! I recall Mark Kelso being interviewed about a 4-0 record. He said ‘you break up the season in quarters. You want to be 3-1 each quarter because that translates to 12-4 and a likely Division title. But mostly because it shows consistency vs 1-3 one quarter, 4-0 the next.’ We went to the Super Bowl that season..

Milano’s injury history presents a challenge to the McBeane mantra of Drafting and re-signing their own. When on the field, Matt is a key cog. But he’s off the field too much at this stage of his career, with a 2nd contract looming. I see the team offer being generous but not ridiculous, which will encourage Milano to see what other offers he may receive. Then, I think we balk..

Knox also had a great game blocking. He’s trying hard to keep his job.

I think it means the League will have to dramatically alter the season/post season. Batten down the hatches, teams! Fines, loss of Draft picks & forfeitures await violators.

Sadly, this brings us to what to do about a 2nd contract. I think Bills have to play their cards close to the vest because he’s not medically reliable. But other teams will entice him with big buck$$..

Not true. He was due a new contract and had a personal desire to play in Atlanta. We couldn’t match their offer. He helped the Falcons go to the Super Bowl and played couple more seasons with Polian in Indy. His play wasn't diminishing when he left Buffalo. National coverage wasn’t the same in Atl & Indy. He was nearing HOF consideration when he left Buffalo.

Completely disagree. The players love him and his incredibly thick playbook. We will be a noticeably different team, very likely no where near as explosive.

eh, not so much, imo. Bennett was a much sought after college Draft choice and selected 2nd overall by the Colts. Bills would have loved to sign him but had to ‘settle’ for ‘local boy done good’ Shane Conlan, who was an instant starter and great addition. This was Kelly’s 2nd season. Bills were playing markedly better but still losing games they could have won. But once we came back and beat Miami in OT, Polian knew he had to do something to make it harder for teams to score on us. Then came a Halloween for the ages! Bennett & Colts we’re miles apart in contract talks and a 3 team, ‘trade your best players & 1st Round picks for an earth shaking, team changing trade’. Eric Dickerson? Not too shabby. Greg Bell? Not too shabby. Multiple 1st Rounders going everywhere? Sure! Why not? So Biscuit showed up and that 1st Sunday we beat the defending AFC Champion Broncos with him terrorizing Elway. He won Co-ROY with only a half season played! But I digress. No, not similar to Diggs. But both are turning out to be great moves by the team.

Excellent point. He now rightfully strikes fear into opposing teams. They have no choice now but to race to whatever direction his howitzer unloads. Now sprinkle in pump fakes and the receivers will be untouched walking or standing in the endzone. Definitely saves wear & tear on his receivers bodies.
