  1. I get it, of course, but...losing to the Jets, Pats***, Broncos, etc. will do that to you.
  2. Man, this is going to be a nail-biting week. Having Douglas, Dodson, and Johnson back would be fantastic. If they're the only three we get back, that still really helps. Would really like to see Benford and Rapp back as well, if possible—anything to keep Lewis and Elam on the sidelines as much as possible. I doubt we'll see Bernard, but man that would be great if he could go.
  3. I haven't really paid much attention to Rapp when he's out there, but is he really so bad that he wouldn't be next in line for a starting spot?
  4. The Bills blitzed only eight times in 44 dropbacks (per the Buffalo News).
  5. Also keep in mind that the weather in Baltimore on Saturday should be cloudy, mid-20s, with 15 mph winds. For a dome team like the Texans, that doesn't bode well, especially given that they were 4-4 on the road this year.
  6. Special teams has been woeful all year, except for the Harty return. That one play, while critical to the season, does not entirely make up for a season's worth of bad play. I'd also mention the punt block that very nearly happened at the beginning of the Dallas game. Still hard to believe the player didn't get a piece of it, but if he had somehow not inexplicably missed the ball, that very well may have completely changed that game. I'm less worried about Bass than others, but Smiley really needs to get his ***** together or else he should be on the street after this year.
  7. Dude played great. I was actually happy to see him in there, and he held his own. At the same time, we need some help. Pittsburgh did most of their damage after guys got injured, so the defense was definitely having issues. In the end they held their ground, but against KC they'll need to turn it up a notch.
  8. I've been feeling for some time now that special teams is going to be the death of us this season. Certainly gave me plenty of heartburn today. All I want is a game with no turnovers and no special teams gaffes by us.
  9. After seeing what happened against the Jets, Pats****, Broncos, Giants....I will never experience pre-game confidence again. Then again, I'm a huge loser.
  10. Early. Should taper off by game time. Few more inches tonight, only maybe 1 inch tomorrow.
  11. Did they already forget how the NFL moved one of their playoff games to later in the day back in 2017 because of an ice storm in KC? And are they upset about how they'll get two extra days of prep for next week if the Bills win?
  12. Sorry, gonna have to disagree with you on that. Watson has ruined their future both in terms of the draft and their cap.
  13. I think when you factor in the ridiculous and destructive contract for Watson, the award has to go to that trade.
  14. I know some folks are down on Knox, but he'd be my choice as well.
  15. Gabe is the last person on this roster I would think of throwing a jump ball to.
  16. One thing I think we're not talking about a lot is special teams, and the impact the weather and some of these injuries might have. Despite Harty's breakout last week and Martin's special teams honors, our ST have been abysmal this year. This seems like the kind of game where either team could have a breakdown that allows a big return. I'd be more worried about us having that breakdown given how bad we've been this year. In a close scoring game, a big return or two could be all the difference.
  17. Apparently the Pats*** "established a firm, contractual succession plan in a prior contract."
  18. That's what it sounded like. He was designated the successor to Belichick in his contract, so they're saying.
  19. I mean, I get that he's promising, but why would you hire a guy as your LB coach and include a clause in the contract that he gets to succeed Belichick as the head coach? The LB coach?
  20. Saw it posted somewhere that McD is now the 4th longest active tenured coach in the league, looks like that is confirmed above. Also saw that McDermott is the only currently active coach hired before 2019 who HASN'T been to the Super Bowl, also confirmed above. Both of those are pretty eye opening. I, for one, like him as a coach and am glad he's here. But the lack of a Super Bowl appearance at this point is tough.
  21. ...with 25 mph winds and a wind chill of 5 degrees.
  22. Miami. Always Miami. If you followed the Bills at all during the 70s, there will always be a deep and everlasting hatred for Miami. KC was a close second. I, for one, would NOT be happy with Green Bay winning it all, mostly because there are so many ***** annoying Packers fans here.
  23. Congratulations, man! I know you've talked about your personal life on here every now and then, and it's really cool to see things working out so awesomely for you. Hopefully he'll get to grow up knowing the Bills only as a perennial playoff team and Super Bowl contender/winner.
  24. I was thinking this as well. If conditions are really bad, there's an advantage to having Josh as a frequent running option as it puts more pressure on the defense.
