Shady showing that Buffalove
Albany,n.y. replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It looks like that shirt is based on the Wyoming Cowboys logo. Was it made to represent Josh before the 2018 draft or just after Kiper said that about Josh when he rated him the top QB in the draft (& the 10th best QB prospect of all time as of this year)? -

I've been saying for many years how meaningless QB stats are. This host proves my point that a know nothing can take QB stats & claim vastly inferior QBs are better than franchise QBs. I still remember years ago when Rob Johnson looked better on paper than Jim Kelly for clowns who don't know what they're watching. At one time Ryan Fitzpatrick was better than Andrew Luck on a stat sheet. QB STATS ARE FOR LOSERS -
At the beginning of the season I thought One & Done. Now I think he's headed to Lou Holtz & Bobby Petrino land. If we can survive Wrecks, Jacksonville can survive Suburban.

What is Wrong with Steve Belichick?
Albany,n.y. replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since he got Belichick from the Jets and rehabilitated him, maybe he'll think he can do the same with Adam Gase. I can dream, can't I? -
Thurs nite football: Jaguars at Bengals
Albany,n.y. replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh gets the TD in that situation and there no reason why Lawrence don't either. Good idea to go for it but horrible use of the QB. If you're going to play it the way Meyer did, then I agree with you. I'd rather kick a field goal than do a QB run out of shotgun from the 1. -

Nothing wrong with going for it, but if you are running a QB sneak you don't do it from shotgun. Meyer should go back to college. -

Lawrence should have been right behind the center and just gone over the top. Bad coaching. -
I don't believe Lofton lost his speed. For some reason the 1st thing to go were his hands. He started missing balls he would have caught easily just a season or 2 before.

I'm going with Trubisky-probably plays most of the 2nd half after the Bills go up 42-0. Trubisky puts up 49 & we win 91-0.

I was at that game and because of all the no shows we were able to buy club level seats from a scalper for around $20. It was so cold I stopped on Rt 17 on the way down and got a wool face mask that I wore the entire game. When the game was over we left our seats and in the concourse we passed Ralph Wilson who had just come out of his suite. I still had the mask on & I yelled "All the way to the Super Bowl, Ralph!" I must have startled him because all he did was give me a look like I was out of my mind.

Does Anyone watch ESPN morning shows anymore?
Albany,n.y. replied to sistersarah's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sleeping when they're on. I don't watch the pregame shows except for the Bills one that's on 11:30-12:00. I listen to the Bills pregame on the radio unless I have to go out to watch the game. When I arrive I watch whatever pregame is on for the Bills games. I go to OTB for Bills games not on home TV where they have individual booths (carrels) with your own personal TV. We get around 10 or more Bills games on home TV during the season-more later in the year if the Jets are really doing bad. -
One more week and Met-Life will be declared a disaster area.

I think Darnold is a good example of my theory that a team cannot ruin a QB. Stymie him in a bad offense, yes, but ruin him, no. Darnold doesn't look ruined under a competent coach. There's a decent chance that Wilson will bust because he just can't play at a NFL level. It won't be because the Jets ruined him. It's not incompetent coaches an ruin QBs , it's incompetent scouting that overestimates a college QB's NFL potential. I recently had lunch with a group of people and one who stayed home most of last year said he watched a lot a college football and said Wilson will never make it. Take his opinion with a grain of salt but if Wilson busts don't blame it on the Jets. I don't usually love other people's misery, but I can't resist seeing Darnold succeed while Wilson fails and enjoy that it's happening to the Jets.

Week 3 - Around the League
Albany,n.y. replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Staley repeatedly mentioned the wind in his post game press conference, and the most relevant thing about the decision was when he said that you put the ball in the hands of the best player, that player being Herbert, who he called the best player on the field this Sunday.. When a coach has a franchise QB he's going to trust the franchise over a kicker on a windy day on the road no matter who his kicker is. -
Week 3 - Around the League

Did you (I'm using plural form to all those who criticized Staley) notice what happened on the extra point? The wind that would have moved the FG to no good made the extra point no good. I had that game on next to the Bills game and originally replied to one of the anti Staley posts but it appears the entire thread got deleted (It was about Herbert). Everyone who watched the game and not the last minute completely understood that the correct call was to go for the TD because you couldn't trust ANY kick in that wind when you had the possibility of scoring a touchdown. Anyone who criticized Staley should never complain about conservative coaching decisions again. Staley showed what he's on the sideline and none of us are. PS: I have to admit my bias- I'm rooting hard for the LAC in every regular season game due to a futures bet I made that they win 11 or more games. This game meant a lot to me and as I watched it I totally agreed with the decision to go for the TD and make Mahomes go 75 yards in very little time than to try a FG in that wind. -
Will the WFT game sell out despite new jab policy?
Albany,n.y. replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not a disaster for the Bills. They already banked the money the tickets originally sold for. Ticket Exchange is resale of already purchased tickets. -

This was the 1st game I noticed it. I had seasons in the 1st row of the club level endzone for years & after I gave up my seat I still could sit in one of the 2 seats my friend kept there until he bailed after 2018. However, even in the later years the people behind us would bang on the backs of the seats while I was trying to sit without being vibrated. I believe if you want to bang on a seatback youy should use your own seat. In 2019 I went to one game & had a club seat & it seemed OK. I looked at Ticketmaster & there are enough 1st row tickets available in the upper deck and even though it will cost more, from now on I'll pay extra & either get a resale ticket in the 1st row of an upper level or just buy a seat in the club. My friend who I usually go to games with is short & will appreciate not having people in front of us. I'm down to one game a year at Highmark so I won't mind the extra $ in order to sit through most of the game. On the other hand, I'm 67 almost 68 & maybe I'm approaching the reality that I'm getting too old to go to games because I've got some physical problems that are making it harder to go to games in the atmosphere that is at Highmark. -

I've got a different take than the anti vaxers: I was in section 115 on opening day & I will never sit in the lower bowl again. All the people stood up for the entire game. I'm old & it gets pretty difficult for me to stand for an entire game. Until the other fans in the lower bowl learn some friggin manners people like me are either staying home or looking for seats in the front rows elsewhere in the stadium.
