Then you are clueless. The gameplan was to run against the Chargers weak run defense, Baltimore ran for 187 yards including 51 by Lamar Jackson. He had no need to throw for big yardage. He hit 70% of his passes. They scored 34 points. Go take your lame use of stats to try to prove a ridiculous point because you don't like Jackson for whatever lame reason you have and learn how to watch football because it's pretty obvious you have no clue what you're watching.

This post is what happens when someone looks at stats instead of watching the game. Stats are for losers! Anyone who watched the games Lamar Jackson played in knows that the above post is ridiculously stupid.

Taking the wrong QB in the 1st round is extremely costly. It usually means the coach loses his job. The team that makes the right choice usually goes on to be a Super Bowl contender while the team making the wrong choice ends up in contention for a top 10 draft choice. There are a lot of examples where a team picked a QB in the 1st round & the team that picked the next available QB got the franchise QB while the 1st team drafted a mediocrity or a bust. The two you mentioned are prime examples. The LAC are way ahead of Miami & the Bills are on a different planet than the grounded Jets. Add Chicago to the scrap heap (the team owned by Aaron Rodgers) who picked our own Mitch Trubisky & the next QB taken in that draft was KC's Mahomes.

McDermott's 2nd season was all about developing Josh Allen. The record was irrelevant. Flores isn't developing anyone & the owner wants Watson, not Tua if Watson remains a free man in 2022. If Miami wins 4 or fewer games he & the GM will be out on the street.

That was after he padded his stats on the game tying drive. Going into that drive his completion % was in the 30s. That's Gary Marangi territory. Baker is nowhere near that. Right now Josh & Lamar are pretty close as the top guys with Baker way behind & Darnold in a different time zone. When I was watching Carolina on the bonus coverage on Fox after the Giants game ended all I could think of is with every down Carolina is regretting giving Darnold that 5th year option which is guaranteed & will hurt their cap next year. Basically they're stuck with a bad QB. The only good thing about Darnold is he's not Josh Rosen level of bad.

Combine that with tossing water on someone earlier this season. It seems like every week he's doing something stupid that says "Look at me!"

I think the kid's problem is a massive inferiority complex. His father is a former MLB player. His brother is one of the NFLs top players & he's JAG. I wouldn't be surprised if Patrick has constantly put him down & he is acting out. One of my college roomates ended up being a big TV executive. He would always put down his brother calling him No Personality among other put downs. I lost track of him before he became semi-famous so I don't know how his brother handled his success, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a lot of animosity between them.

The best line I heard this morning on the radio regarding the Jaguars game: They only time I've heard the name Josh Allen this morning is in a preview of the Bills/Titans game tomorrow night.

Whoever made the decision to draft Tua over Herbert shouldn't have a job in the NFL.

I got a lot of heat from the Brohm supporters when I tried to explain that there was no way that our management at the time was capable of outsmarting the best GMs in the league by signing a guy off GB's practice squad who they didn't even bat an eye for when he was waived before his 2nd season. My theory was that QBs are treated like gold by the NFL GMs. Teams don't release a 2nd round QB one year later and no waiver claims come in unless the film (mostly pre-season) indicates he's a bust. I said at the time how can anyone believe Russell Brandon could steal a guy with GMs like Ozzie Newsome & Bill Polian not having made a waiver claim earlier in the year. The funniest replies gave Buddy Nix the credit as if he could ever outsmart all the GMs. The closest thing to Brohm since then is Josh Rosen who up until he failed with 3 or 4 teams, his die hards still were waiting for him to emerge. The bottom line is the actions of the GMs in the league can give you a pretty good idea if a highly drafted QB is a bust when his 1st team dumps him. The ones with any potential left don't land on practice squads. The only exceptions are late round QBs or free agent QBs who can sometimes be far enough under the radar that a team can sneak him through waivers. But a 1st, 2nd or even a 3rd round QB who gets dumped within 2 years with virtually no interest around the league isn't going to be anyone's answer. I'm so glad we are light years away from fans getting excited with a QB signing off another team's practice squad.

I saw -7.5 earlier today, but either way it's a bad beat. That's why I stay away from spreads like this. The only Bills game I've lost in 6 games since legalized betting started in 2019 was a six or 6.5 spread vs the Bengals in 2019 when the Bills squandered a big lead and won by 4. Just like the Tampa bettors tonight all I needed was a field goal for the money.

He was taken with our pick, but I'd rather have Josh Allen. Truly a trade that worked out for both teams. Tampa won a Super Bowl with Vea and we will win one pretty soon with Josh.

I curse at home but usually don't at the stadium. I used to go to every home game but now I'm down to a home game & a game in NJ & sometimes Baltimore. I also used to go to a non-Bills game a year in California but haven't since 2018. One time I was in the upper deck in the early 90s & got mad & yelled out "Where's the f'n defense" I got a lot of nasty looks & comments & learned to cut out the cursing at games. I doubt I'd get that response today since the crowd has gotten a lot ruder & cruder than it was 30 years ago. There was a time in the 1988 when I was in NE & the Patriots fans started throwing beer cans at me after I stood up & cheered a sack by the Bills. I then got up looked at the security and screamed loud enough for the whole section to hear me "They're throwing beer cans at me, if one of them hits me I'll sue your f***ing stadium." They ignored me & pretty soon after I had to leave my friends & join a group of Bills fans where it was safer to sit.

It's more about geography. We will get the 4:05 games in Albany if the Bills or Jets are playing at 4 & the other team didn't have a 1:00 CBS game. In some rare cases they might even show the Patriots at 4 when neither the Jets nor Bills are available. It's usually 1) Jets, 2) Bills & a distant 3rd for NE, but this season the Jets have been so bad & the Bills so good that we're 2-0 head to head in broadcast decisons between the 2 teams. Cleveland is close enough to Buffalo to send the Browns game there when the Bills aren't playing in the afternoon. I suspect the same would apply to when the Steelers are in the same situation.

Don't you know that Josh was inaccurate? The Nicks are going to cling to his 57.7% completion percentage vs KC when they compare him unfavorably to Zach Wilson and all the other bums who can't carry Josh's jock.

Please take hands of Clay off the list. One of the things the list shows is that when people were saying no free agents want to play in Buffalo during the drought the reality was that no free agents wanted to play for a losing team in Buffalo. Before & after the drought players wanted to come to Buffalo to chase a Super Bowl ring. Nothing attracts free agents more than a franchise QB like Kelly, Allen & to a lesser extent Bledsoe. Remember, at the time they signed Hyde & Poyer were very much under the radar.

I've been watching the LAC closely this season. They have 2 major weaknesses: 1) Their run D is below average. You can run on them all day long. 2) Their kicker doesn't belong in the NFL. The guy has missed 4 extra points & can't be relied on. As a result their coach, Staley, is going for it on 4th down instead of kicking any FGs that are not chip shots. So far Herbert has been bailing him out, but that can't continue the whole season. Eventually his kicker is going to cost him a game or 2. Their only loss, by 3 points to the Cowboys, Vizcaino missed a 44 yard field goal at the end of the 1st half.

I'm rooting for the Chargers every game until they get their 11th win & I get to cash my futures bets on them to go over 10.5 wins. After that if they're close to the Bills for home field I'll root against them every game.

So who is it going to be this week? Jerry Hughes wants to show these youngsters he's still got it.
