  1. You are not making money on something you don't plan on selling when it is appreciating. I can sell my house for more than I paid for it, but I'm not making any money on it because I'm not selling it.
  2. Here's a novel idea: Go to the games you bought tickets to. When I had season tickets I only sold 1 or 2 games ever in 20 years & I ended up going to the games in another seat.
  3. Red Hogs is literally putting lipstick on a pig.
  4. I want them to be the Washington Hogs. I still get a laugh thinking of Chuck Dickerson mocking them out & snorting like a pig.
  5. At the time he was released on October 18th, he wasn't on waivers. There were no waivers for vets until 11/2/21. https://dknation.draftkings.com/nfl/2021/8/30/22648201/nfl-waiver-wire-rules-2021-which-team-has-top-priority-claims-order Who goes through waivers? Players with less than four years of accrued service time are subject to waivers. A player with at least four years of accrued service time, referred to as a “vested veteran” immediately becomes a free agent and is eligible to sign with any other team. Is this the same all season? No. After the trade deadline passes on November 2, vested veterans will have to go through waivers if released.
  6. Mainly because the team doesn't own the facility, Erie County owns Highmark & they own the land for the new stadium. Very few teams own the facility they play in. If one municipality won't build one (example Oakland Raiders who are now the Las Vegas Raiders) another municipality will. If you seriously believe a team that is forced to build their own facility, outside of a huge city, not a smaller one like Buffalo, would agree to build a stadium they don't own, you're living in a fantasy world. Let me put in another way: I've already stated the land & building is owned by Erie County. If you were renting a house from someone and the house was deteriorating to the point that it was no longer viable for much longer & your landlord told you they're building a brand new house for you, but they expect you to pay 100% to build it I'd bet you would be looking for a new landlord & location.
  7. The Jets beat the Bucs? News to me.😀
  8. Trubisky appears to be pretty tight with Josh too. Mitch & his wife were among the few guests at Josh Allen's New Year's Eve party.https://heavy.com/sports/buffalo-bills/josh-allen-nye-party-instagram/
  9. Jones will be a Giant next year because even if he loses his starting job the Giants other backups have been ridiculously bad. I expect the Giants to bring in a QB who will compete with Jones for the starting job & the loser will be the backup. Glennon & Fromm don't belong in the NFL. To see how bad Fromm is, Glennon was unbelievably bad yesterday, but after seeing Fromm the week before, the Giants never replaced Glennon with Fromm.
  10. I'd rather bring back Barkley than bring in Drew Lock.
  11. Funniest part of the video was as Brown is headed to the tunnel the PA & scoreboard cue up "It's 3rd down!"
  12. Just turned on Bills Kickoff Live, there's snow on the field. Just a few flakes coming down right now.
  13. Even if he wins comeback player, he will either leave for big $ or become a salary cap nightmare. If he wasn't entering his final contract year as a huge? , he'd be a lot more appealing. There's no way the Bills can justify extending him before next season & no respectable agent would let him sign an extension at the lowest point of his market value. Not a good business decision to rent a ? at $7.2 million.
  14. Daboll has always been Josh's OC. They changed QB coaches after Josh was a rookie because Baltimore offered Culley a promotion and he left voluntarily with an assistant head title in Baltimore-a title that makes it very difficult for a team to keep a coach from moving on. Different Reply: The one part missing from Z's story is what effect did missing out on Cousins have on Elway's panic move to sign Keenum?
  15. I remember fans going crazy because the Bills had to start Josh after Peterman failed on opening day & until Anderson signed, they had no veteran backup. A lot of Bills fans were up in arms that the Bills didn't have a veteran mentor for Josh the 1st half of his rookie year.
  16. Shawne Merriman-one year at big bucks for a generational LB for a team that desperately needs one. You take the risk. Don't overthink this. Really? What makes you think an oft injured underachiever who has done virtually nothing the last 2 seasons is a generational RB? He had a great rookie year, declined in his sophomore season & has been invisible the last 2. You know what other RB had his best year as a rookie? Terry Miller.
  17. No need to wonder-Josh was #1 on their board per the leaked photo of their board that WGR showed. They had 3 QBs they were willing to trade up for, in order Josh, Darnold & Mayfield. Rosen was 4th, but they were only trading up to 5 (the original plan before Chubb was there for Denver) for the top three. Josh wasn't "unknown", everyone had him top 10 in mock drafts, even Mina Kimes who went nuts when the Bills took Allen over Rosen.
  18. OJ wasn't a walking injury, his problem was the Bills coaches. Barkley is in his 4th season & has steadily declined since his rookie year.
  19. He's played in less than 57% of his team's games the last 3 years, he's averaging 3.5 yards per carry & only has 2 TDs, he makes $7.2 million & he's going to be a free agent after 2022 unless you pay him enough to make him want to stay. The trade makes no sense salary cap-wise. He has to prove he's healthy 1st before any team should take a shot on him, and then you have to hope he suddenly regains his form from 2018. He's one of the main reasons the Giants will have a new GM next season.
  20. His contract status has already been stated in this thread. It's $7.2 guaranteed for 2022 since the Giants already picked up his 5th year option. So they are either renting him for 1 season at $7.2 million or have to extend him at big bucks not knowing if he'll ever regain his form or stay healthy. The only way you take him is if the Giants extend him with a big bonus that they take the cap hit on if they trade him & it has to be a contract the Bills can get out of in 2023 with a minimal cap hit if they cut him. Very tough to justify trading for him. Just draft a RB early & get him on a rookie contract rather than trading for Barkley.
  21. It was almost a bigger thank you than what has been said so far: If Bradley Chubb had been selected in the top 4, Elway would have traded the pick to the Bills for our 2 #1s & a #2. Then the Bills would have drafted Josh at #5. Not only was Elway not interested in drafting a QB, he was willing to trade the pick to a team that was trading up for a QB.
  22. On opening day 2019 I took a bus ride to NJ to see the Bills play the Jets. The Jets fans in the 2 seats in front of me started making jokes about Josh being so inaccurate. I leaned forward and told them that 1) Josh was better than Darnold & 2) Josh would end up in the Hall of Fame. I hope those 2 guys remember being told that in September 2019.
  23. How can anyone seriously say Josh was brought along too slowly when he finished opening day in 2018 & was starting by the 2nd game of the season? He was thrown to the wolves on a team with one of if not the worst WR & OL groups in the entire NFL as a rookie. The only games he didn't play in was due to an injury. He has played every game since. While I thought he should have started from day 1 as a rookie, starting by day 2 was good enough for me. The majority of fans wanted him to sit for at least half the season. Nobody except the OP thinks he was brought along too slowly. What were the coaches supposed to do, open the playbook when there were no complimentary pieces? COME ON MAN!
  24. Verizon's guides suck when it comes to NFL games on Sundays. Before Wednesday mine said Tampa at Jets in Albany. There was never a chance that was going to happen. Verizon is always late on switches. I guess the network suits figured that NE would rather watch their old friend Brady put up 40 points than see Josh Allen do it. For Pats fans it won't matter because they'll be watching the Patriots on CBS. They must be going for Brady fans who quit the Pats when Tommy Boy did.
  25. I looked up the game to see what you are talking about. What's your basis for saying he threw the game? They lost to the 10-6 Ravens in Baltimore by 3 points in overtime. The week before they won. Unless you can tell us how he tanked the game, I'm calling your premise BS.
