  1. What city in Argentina?
  2. I think Holcomb will be the starter come September until he has one sh------- performance (ala season finale in NJ) or is sidelined because of injury. Then it will be JP's time and he will finally look decent while improving each and every game.

  5. Bills | Team looking at F. Jackson as No. 2 running back Mon, 29 May 2006 19:06:06 -0700 FOXSports.com reports the Buffalo Bills are looking at RB Fred Jackson a s a possible No. 2 running back behind RB Willis McGahee. Jackson had a strong year with NFL Europe where he finished second in the league with 731 rushing yards and was one of two players to break 1,000 yards from scrimmage after finishing with 1,048 yards. Bills | Nance looking to make the final roster Mon, 29 May 2006 08:43:11 -0700 Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports Buffalo Bills rookie free agent WR Martin Nance is hoping to make the team's final roster. Nance was surprised he went undrafted. "Some people may have thought he was slow to return from injury," said Bills coordinator of college scouting Doug Majeski. "But he's a big receiver with good speed and deep ball skills. He's a very good free agent." In observing him during the OTAs Bills wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert was curious to see how such a tall, long striding receiver could run. Being as tall and long as he is Nance can provide a team with a number of options in the passing game. The wide receiver feels his greatest assets are his ability to stretch the field and make plays in the red zone. One thing Nance will have to work on is his transition in and out of his cuts. Tolbert knows for a player as long legged as Nance it will take more concentration. Tolbert is withholding judgment on Nance until he sees him in pads at training camp. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl
  6. This is the same guy that couldn't run the 40 time under 5 seconds at the Combines. He's great as a ST player but the guy is not fast. Mario Hagan Outside Linebacker Mississippi State Status: Senior 6-2/255 40: 5.02 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DJ Boyer 1-30-03 Strength: Size Forcing fumbles Weakness: Speed Pass coverage Assessment: Mario Haggan has a great deal of experience but struggled during his senior season. Haggan is a big, strong and physical player who seems to lack the top-notch speed to be a 1st round consideration. Struggles in pass coverage and will have trouble staying with his man if the play goes for more than 10 yards downfield. Haggan would thrive as a run-stuffing linebacker in the right system. Range is somewhat limited so Haggan needs the right scheme. Has been known to make big plays with penetration and is one of the best at stripping ball carriers. Should go by the 3rd round in the draft. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Matthew Gambill 1-18-03 Mario Haggan and Mark Brown were both steady. Both showed a good feel for the game and both reacted well to the ball. Neither appeared to be very athletic and I don't see Haggan as more than a two down, run stopping middle backer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pro Football Weekly 1-15-03 Mississippi State LB Mario Haggan has gained quite a reputation for being outgoing and vocal. Monday, he shuffled through a few personnel types at the Adams Mark Hotel, Senior Bowl headquarters, to introduce himself to Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil, interrupting Vermeil’s conversation in the process. The coach and future NFL player shared a few laughs, then Haggan moved on. 12-12-02 “Mississippi State LB Mario Haggan has not had as good of a year as he did a year ago. I thought he just didn’t play as well, but it could be that the team hasn’t played as well either. They already canned half their coaching staff and both coordinators. Coming into the year, he was one of the top two inside ’backers.”
  7. The thing with Posey is that he's not fast nor explosive. Maybe it's a misconception of mine, but I see the LBs in the Cover 2 as being guys with a certain explsosiveness or suddenness added to their game. I don't see Posey or Haggan as being dinamic enough to be effective LBs in this defense, physically speaking. Wheter they can overcome their physical limitations with awareness is up to the coaches to determine.
  8. Better you than Big Mike doing the chew job.
  9. I never fell in love with the pick nor the player's production. I was told the guy would be amazing and to this day he isn't. He's a good RB, don't get me wrong but he isn't all that great, or at least he still didn't show us that. A couple of negatives IMO with his game are: He's not reliable picking up the blitz He's always banged up between hits. They sold me he was great in the passing game coming out of college, the guy is just average. I think his conditioning leaves much to be desired, maybe he carried too much weight last year. Flame away...
  10. Since I'm a thread killer, I'll post to see what happens...
  11. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sport...ll/14558230.htm Quarterback Joey Harrington apparently is headed south, and suspended running back Ricky Williams appears closer to heading north. A source close to Harrington said Thursday night the Dolphins and Detroit Lions have worked out a deal to send the former No. 3 overall draft pick to Miami....
  12. That holding call on Villarial was BS, no doubt about it, trust me.
  13. How does Herman's clock manegement talents compares to that of the Fat Mustache Holmgreen? Tough one, I'd say.
  14. It will bite in his ass if he doesn't do something about it when/if something out of character happens with one his players.
  15. I don't have a problem with the guy actually doing this things but to come out on an interview saying this kind of things you know the guy is not smart. I bet his "friend" Mount McKinnie is not very happy after this interview: Q: What is a perfect night out for Willis McGahee? A: Hanging with Bryant McKinnie (offensive lineman, Minnesota Vikings). He put the 'p' in party. I rolled with him one time and I thought it was going to be another night out. I get there and he's got Venus with him. He has a lot of celebrities with him. Slim Thug, too.
  16. Yep, I noticed something alright. I noticed that back in 2003, NFL Draft, Round 2, Pick 48, Mister Chris Kelsay represented great value according to the experts.
  17. I went to this game a couple of weeks back and by that time I thought: 1) what a great player Whale (former GB) is and how TD and Co. missed on him in FA 2) best game of the year for JP, IMO, very comfortable in the hurry up offense. It's nice to know he has wheels, but the best throws he made were within the pocket (when there was one) 3) Jason Peters got beat once (badly) by Peppers in the red zone but after that he adjusted and played well on pass protection. 4) With no Adams on defense, you could tell that we lacked talent up front but with discipline and people playing their roles the defense looked good. Later, someone posted we played a Cover 2 defense on that game and I felt better about this year.
  18. Any chance Fewell moves Coy Wire back to LB? I mean the guy as a safety won't make it. Given the new defense I think Wire could make the switch to his former position in College. thoughts?
  19. I wouldn't make that trade as of todya as I wouldn't have drafted Willis.
  20. Great post Cbiscuit.
  21. Personally I like: Here comes McCargo "X-Press" bringing the load, or something like that and if you don't like it it's fine by me. Just thinking out loud.
  22. I agree with you, hence your post is excellent.
