  2. God bless copy & paste Seriously, great post
  3. I agree with your point of view. Just like we're not interested in Ngata because he doesn't fit the system or that we're interested in Justice, now JP is in the trade block. Draft day is coming and you just can't tip your hand.
  4. I'd would be happy with Ngata in the first, The Deuce or Davin Joseph in the 2nd, then with our first 3rd, Whitner and with the second 3rd a RT Trueblood or Withworth.
  5. If SuperMario is going to last that long I'd do whatever it takes to trade with SanFran. He's the Best defensive player of the draft.
  6. We signed Trey Teague to play LT, since he wasn't that good we paid him second tier money. But he was moved to OC, he then became not only inadequate but overpaided. As I said earlier, I like this signing. He could start if he puts his mind into it, or he can be a hell of a back to Preston. If he starts, Preston becomes his back-up or play OG beside him. The guy is not a high profile FA but IMO this signing gives us flexibility and options for the middle of the line.
  7. I have to agree with that but, the question is for how long? I think I'll pass.
  8. Great post Freddy, thanks for the info. I too like this signing, it gives us flexibility and options in the middle of the line.
  9. Hopefully, nowhere near his dog
  10. By that standard shouldn't the majority of the posters on this board wait until December 2006 to critize Marv's plan. (and even by that time I'd still think it'd be too soon)
  11. Joey Harrington — Honestly, how clueless can you be? According to the Detroit News, Harrington sabotaged a Mike Martz orientation by not paying attention or drawing plays. As a result, the Lions signed Jon Kitna and brilliantly picked up Josh McCown, who was encouraged to go to Detroit on the advice of former teammate Kurt Warner. McCown is ripe for overachievement (perhaps the next Jake Delhomme) with Martz and multiple downfield weapons. And the Lions finally ditched Harrington on Monday. If Joey needs help packing, I am sure I can find thousands of Lions fans willing to lend a hand. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5427756
  12. How sweet would be to sing Reggie Germany back? I mean it just sounds right.
  13. Well we can't rule out anyone, can we?
  14. yep, trully amazing.
  15. "2004: Justice was slated to start for his third season at right offensive tackle as a junior in 2004. But he was ineligible for 2004 spring practice and the 2004 season because of a student conduct violation [exhibition of a replica firearm] (he did not attend USC during that time), so he redshirted." "Despite the fact that he has only 6 seasons of football under his belt, he has been compared to a young Art Shell, though not as instinctive or strong, he is very mobile, gaining strength, and learning how to dominate. His character and football intelligence or the only question marks, however they are serious questions." http://condraft.com/player.php?id=738
  16. Cap reasons or not you don't just get rid of your LT if he's any good or has anything left in the tank. And from what I saw from him not last year but the year before his legs aren't there anymore If we sign him to starter money I'd be very pissed. Runyan is/was very good RT, sign him for a year, not more, you have the guy for more than two years and you'll see the Villarial saga all over again. You don't know what to do with the guy, you start to second guess him and his abilities. And before you know it you have one eye in how he perform and the other in cap numbers to see how much you save if the guy is cut.
  17. I don't know about that, it could be. But I do remember Moulds not endorsing Bledsoe's comments about the Bills being "his team" or how about Bledsoe, first day being a cowgirl, I have more & better weapons here than I had in Buffalo. I hope he goes to Philly with a healthy McNabb, of course.
  18. Exactly the problem is that we have almost everything in place except both lines. TD did everything backwards.
  19. IT'S ALIVE!!! IT'S ALIVE!!! sorry I had to do it
  20. I'm not saying put an all out rookie OL but you can play at least two rookies in your starting line-up Dan Buenning (4th round) started at LG for the Buccaners and they went to the playoffs Rob Pettiti (6th round) started at RT for Dallas with the difficult task of protecting the Drewster. Logan Mankins (1st round) started for the Patsies. It can be done and be succesful, someday you have to focus on the most important problem this team have had for over a decade and fix it and the only way to do it iMO is via draft.
  21. You know what? I don't have a problem with people complaining, to each is own I guess. But how do you know this is not getting any better? Because we didn't sign every FA in the market? Have a little faith in the new regime.
  22. We will build the offensive line through the draft as every other team in the league does. We'll draft them, we will play them this year and hopefully we can build a foundation for years to come. They targeted Reggie Wells because he's young and improving (Cardinals said they'll match any offer we make) Neal is 30 years old (in two years he's the next Villarial) Fabini is 31 years old (why would the Jets realease a LT?, can he still play?, doubtful) Runyan is 33 years old (John Fina all over again but on the right side) You see the trend, you sign these guys for a year of two for them to help you get over the top. They would help us get over a 6-10 record. I'd rather play a guy in his second year if not a rookie, no more patchwork OL for me I want a core of young players to build on. If you sign guys like Fabini or Runyan, sign them for depth not to start.
  23. Except for 2001 that is correct. GW's first year was a nightmare with guys like Ben Unatoa and Dan O'Leary.
