This, right here, is a good post, because I agree with it.

I went to U Maryland and watched Vernon every game

Hopefully he goes before we pick so I don´t have to stomach the feeling of drafting a TE at #8. Maybe Mario Williams drops to us (praying) -
Who will Moulds end up playing for?
Fixxxer replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Out of the AFC, hopefully. But if he´s gone I hope Marv is classy and smart enough to let him walk gracefully, with a PC involved or something, thanking him for his time in Buffalo. The last Buffalo Icons (Henry Jones, Ruben Brown, Thurman, Reed) left the team in bad terms. -

Haloti Ngata= BPA at his position Vernon Davis= BPA at his position DT= huge need for the Bills TE= nice addition, not the biggest of need for the Bills Advantage Ngata- -
Vernon Davis vs Kevin Everett

NE 2004 draft 2004 1 1 21 21 Vince Wilfork DT Miami (FL) 2 1 32 32 Ben Watson TE Georgia 3 2 31 63 Marquise Hill DE Louisiana State 4 3 32 95 Guss Scott DB Florida 5 4 17 113 Dexter Reid DB North Carolina 6 4 32 128 Cedric Cobbs RB Arkansas 7 5 32 164 P.K. Sam WR Florida State 8 7 32 233 Christian Morton DB Illinois I don´t doubt it can work with Davis and Everett but I´d focus in building both lines first. NE could afford to add another TE with their second 1st rounder because not only they had a team already built (coming from a SB win) but because they find a way to stockpile draft picks year after year. IMO it´s like comparing apples to oranges. -
If we're gonna draft a TE this year I say we

And finally Zach Alcorn TE Black Hills State Class 2006 Height 604.0 Weight 255 Speed 4.60 (Unofficial) Position TE Stats 2005: 43 receptions for 689 yards (16 ypc) and 7 TDs. Named to 2005 First Team All Dakota Athletic Conference Offense Playing for tiny Black Hills University in South Dakota, Zach has a great combination of size, speed and catching ability that good tight ends at the next level possess. His fantastic numbers over his college career forced NFL scouts to travel out to the small town of Spearfish, South Dakota to watch Zach play in person at Black Hills. Zach was invited to play in the inaugural 2005 Magnolia Classic in Jackson, Mississippi and, if not drafted, should have an opportunity to be signed as a UDFA. -

Jonathan Williams TE New Hampshire Class 2006 Height 603.0 Weight 235 Speed 4.65 (Unofficial) Position TE Stats 2005: 12 games: 50 catches for 535 yards (10.7) ypc), 5 TDs. Named first team all A-10 for the second year in a row. 2004: 43 catches for 520 yards and 3 TDs. (12.1 ypc) Named 1st team All-A10. 2003: 44 cacthes for 448 yards and 4 TDs. (10.1 ypc) Jonathan is an undersized pass-catching specialist who has a little bit of Shannon Sharpe in his game. Shows great body control, leans away from defenders to catch balls in traffic and does a decent job picking up yardage after the catch. Is a willing and decent blocker at the IAA level. Is not an explosive downfield threat, but has enough speed to stretch the seams and must be accounted for on every play at his level. May never get big enough or strong enough to be a full-time TE at the next level, but may be converted to a slot receiver and is probably the best athlete and current pro prospect on his team--including IAA all-world QB (soph) Ricky Santos, and outstandingly productive junior recevier, David Ball. If Jonathan gets a combine invite and runs better than 4.65 and benches more than 15 reps, expect him to have an outside shot to be drafted late as a project. He will definitely be in an NFL camp next summer, regardless of whether or not he hears his name called during the 2006 NFL draft. -

I don´t know about drafting them but why not throw some names out there to get to know them David Feliciano TE Harding Class 2006 Height 604.0 Weight 250 Speed 4.49 (Unofficial) Position TE Stats 2005: 8 games: 35 catches for 423 yards, (12.1 ypc) 1 TD. 2004: Ranked #1 in the Gulf Coast Conference in receptions with 51 for 683 yards and 10 TDs. Career: 134 receptions 1,391 yards and 14 TDs. This talented pass catching Tight End transferred to Harding from Arkansas Tech after his freshman year. He has received almost every honor under the sun at his level, but because Harding played only an 8-game schedule his stats are not impressive as they might otherwise be. He may be the best TE prospect for the 2006 NFL draft who didn't play major college football. Decent size, but still projects more as an H-back in the NFL. David has become the primary target on a Bison passing offense that is one of the best in the Gulf South Conference. He may have thought he would become a weapon at receiver - where he played most of his career - but he has grown into the role of tight end, literally. He still has his speed, he is sixth fastest on the team with a 4.49 40-yard dash, but his increasingly large frame has taken him to the next level and made him an incredibly confident offensive weapon. "He's just a big 'ole target," Coach Tribble said. "He runs real well, can line up at tight end or split end and another play being the three-guy in Trips. We definitely know he is the guy we want to get the ball to." I doubt we hear his name called in the 2006 NFL Draft but with his speed and hands anything is possible. -
Unless we forfeit the pick or somehow we pull THE "Minnesota move", I think we´ll get an impact player at #8.
-
With that I agree, so I don´t agree with the notion of QB competition in camp. Losman should be starting next year, no question asked, but with the FO, coaches and players behind the move. You don´t like the move, cya later. I respect Holcomb as QB and a profesional but I don´t want him leading my team because I know it´s going nowhere.
-
Thanks for the laughs, but I don´t necesarily agree with it.

Redskins trying to get rid of Patrick Ramsey
Fixxxer replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
FYI: this guy wears #11 on his jersey. Carry on -
And that is the bottom line. Is he better than Holcomb and JP? I´d say yes. Why not see if he´s a viable option?
-
Adams wouldn´t make sense. He´s not that expensive and he has one year left in his contract, plus IMI the guy is perfect for the Cover 2 defense.
-
Joe Burns, the guy might still be asking himself what he did for lasting this long. Get a real FB back-up

It's Official....Bills Release OT Mike Williams!

I laughed my ass off with his Yoda impersonation. He seemed like a good guy alright. Didn´t work out for him and the Bills. Good luck Mike. -
Anyone watch Minnesota - of the Big 10?
Fixxxer replied to LaDairis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is correct. Ngata can be a clogger and a penetrator that´s why I think he would not only fill a big need but he´s a versatile player. I wouldn´t mind drafting this kid Montgomery if he´s available. From CDS: Anthony Montgomery DT Minnesota Class 2006 Height 6.0 Weight 305 Speed 5.1 (Unofficial) Position DT Stats 25 solos, 20 assists for 45 total tackles. - 6 TFLs, 3 sacks. Anthony is a solid interior plugger for the Gophers who demands a double team. A pure nose tackle, Montgomery excelled as a 1 gap and 2 gap defensive player. He has been a consistent player, as he had 9 TFLs last year. A sleeper prospect at this point who the scouts know about, his stock will rise come combine time. His athletic ability to sideswipe guards will impress NFL teams. On film, he looked pretty good, but needed to up his stats a little. Still, a lunch-pail guy who will be good in the pros because their won't be a lot of pressure on him to come in an perform early. A solid guy who could be a day 1 player if he works out well. -
For our WRs to make any kind of impact, whatever name they have tagged in the back of their jerseys, we need smart and ,if possible, talented players up front (you know the fat bastards that make things happen) and a system that doesn´t cry stupidity in every QB dropback.

I can´t get past your avatar (who dat?), reapeat.

and on top of that they would get flagged for improper use of mace. -
The Cover 2 could be great for this team

That would be ideal. Spend the money on the guys that will make an average DB look great. Like Chicago did last year. -
NCAA | RB with a busted knee will not show up at the combines Sat, 11 Feb 2006 21:05:58 -0800 NFLCombine.net reports said they received a letter from a RB with a busted knee saying that he will not attend the rookie combine for reasons unknown. Inside rumor is that the RB felt his chances of being drafted are currently low to nonexistant now that the Bills fired Tom Donahue.
