  1. Exactly which is why they could afford it.
  2. Agree. Niagara Falls would help attract the Canadian market, but the City of Buffalo would be crazy not to fight hard to get the stadium in Buffalo. Downtown Buffalo desperately needs attractions to bring more people into the city and anything that might help clean up a rundown area. It would be a big opportunity missed if a new stadium was built somewhere else.
  3. No, he played for the Bears under Lovie. Cowboys must not like him as a player. Teams usually don't give up a good DT and he was not expensive.
  4. Right after the Duke Preston article.
  5. JP will do fine. It's no coincidence that the longer he played under Jauron, the worse he looked. Trent is heading down the same path. Both can be saved with new coaching. Trent will just have to wait it out longer. JP is free and probably in a better place emotionally than most of the current Bills.
  6. Investing $800 million in the Bills would be very difficult to justify. Ralph has the advantage over the high revenue teams of a much lower investment in the team. His ROI is pretty good and the team generates sufficient cash to operate without debt. Logic would say that if you're committed to a cash to cap player philosophy, then you would make the necessary investment in coaches and personnel people to get the most out of the player talent that you can afford. The Bills have not done that. Less talented players + average (or less) coaching + mediocre personnel decisions = 7-9 or less.
  7. The sarcasm is just too obvious. The world knows Jauron will not win in Buffalo or elsewhere as a head coach. Try again.
  8. Stop beating yourself up. Jauron will not succeed as a head coach in Buffalo or anywhere else. We're all playing the waiting game.
  9. Ain't gonna happen. Jauron is loyal to a fault to his mediocre coodinators and his mediocre style of play. Same shyt that he did here in Chicago. 7-9 + a bit of new talent + a tougher schedule next year = 6-10 and Jauron finally getting canned.
  10. Jauron fears every opposing offense. The Tampa 2 defense is lower risk which supports Jauron's need to reduce his own fear and aversion to risk.
  11. Easy, he'd have Dick Jauron as his head coach. All Dick needs is more talent.
  12. Better to blame Jauron for them both sucking. Anyone else notice that the longer both QBs have played for Dick, the worse they have played?
  13. I think I am more bothered by what Jauron does from Monday - Saturday than on game day. Looks to me like he is out guessed by the opposing team (game plan wise) more often than not. An example was Trent's comment after the Cleveland game that he was unprepared for what they did on defense. Tipping off the opposition on when they are running or passing would be another. He's a smart guy but a terrible player of chess as it relates to football IMO. As far as next year's schedule, yes teams will be different next year so it's hard to say how tough it is. However, the NFC South looks like it will be much tougher than the NFC West was this year. AFC East probably won't be any picnic either. Titans and Colts? Ouch! Jauron is perfectly positioned to fail and likely will and will be canned next year. As for Trent's shoulder, he'll get it fixed. Bills QB won't matter again until 2010. Take the year off people and have some fun. That's what I intend to do.
  14. OK then, help me. Show me anything that points to this team winning a playoff game in 2009. Give us all a reason why we should be optimistic for this upcoming season with Dick Jauron as the coach. I've "kept the faith" for a long time with this team, but we all have our breaking point. I'm there.
  15. Makes no difference. Bills not going anywhere with him or without him.
  16. Ubelievable. How awful is that? I guess they were too busy tackling the guy with the ball.
  17. Jauron wants to play Tampa 2 Jauron hired Fewell Jauron approves the defensive game plan each week Jauron retained Fewell for 2008 Jauron may retain Fewell for 2009
  18. Soon to be 48. Bills fan since OJ was drafted. Left Buffalo in late '94. Had season tickets from '88- '94. Boy were we spoiled through those years. Since leaving Buffalo, have missed fewer than 5 games on TV. Drove to sports bars at first and have had NFL Sunday ticket since '97. Drove back to Buffalo to attend a game nearly every year since moving. Won't be renewing Sunday ticket this upcoming year. Will use to time for other family things. When Jauron is replaced, I'll watch again. Until then, I'll get closer to the Bears - my kids' home team.
  19. Ralph won't be foolish enough to spend money on players Jauron can't make highly productive.
  20. Parrish would be far more productive with a good head coach and offensive coordinator.
  21. ESPN has reported that the Bills will be getting 2 first round picks this year due to the retention of Jauron as head coach. Looks like Ralph is no dummy.
