Alexandria, The New Direction Of The Democrats
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You had better pray she wins. Incumbent Joe Crowley even though he's not really running will be on the ballot as a 3rd party candidate. Anthony Pappas is running as a Republican but not campaigning aggressively. Can you imagine if either of the 2 old white guys wins because voters reject the clueless 28 year socialist? -
How will Trump brand him? Smug Swalwell?

Keep your eye on the Browns. You never know what deadline they may miss or what administrative error they may make. -
Teddy did well. Suddenly the QB mix in the division is trending way up.

Oh come on, they're just hobbyists! -
It is too early. Have to say this for Nate though. He got roughed up pretty good last year. 5 int's in a half, then he gets a nasty concussion in the snow game where he was showing some grit followed by the fire drill in the playoff game. We have to give him credit for the off-season work and for showing up to camp ready to compete and for competing pretty well thus far. Gotta like the guy for the effort and determination and early results.

Why have black folks always voted Democrat?
keepthefaith replied to njbuff's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Always liked JC Watts and wish he was more in the public eye these days. I think most Republican pols have not done a good job of marketing to the black community. With that I don't mean not offering as much taxpayer assistance as some of their competition but rather campaigning on the ground, getting to know people and sincerely listening. -
[edited title] Robert Foster, UDFA - Roster shot?
keepthefaith replied to Bronxbomber21's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes and if they think he can correct the weak spots with some work he has a shot at the practice squad. -

I can't wait for the Dem primary debates in 2020. The competition for most and best giveaways should be epic. Hopefully they aren't held on Saturday nights this time around. -
Mr. Don Beebe who is just a few miles from here would not be at all happy with yours posts under a similar name.

Is Zay Jones A “Lock” To Make The Roster
keepthefaith replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's fighting an uphill battle IMO. He struggled to get open last year. He struggled to catch the ball at times. He's been injured and had a strange off-season incident. He's missed a ton of work compared to his competition and the Bills have other young inexpensive options in camp. -
Generally speaking docs don't learn or practice or in many cases even recognize potential nutritional or similar remedies for many ailments. As my grandfather always told me before he died at 96 - keep yourself healthy because If you have to rely on others to fix something you might not be happy with the process or the results.

Yes, parents, families and the character of people matter A LOT. We're fortunate here in a Chicago west suburb to have what I believe are great public schools both in the student body and teachers/administrators as well. The experiences and teaching quality for my 3 kids that went through the district here were top notch IMO. Add coaches to that as 2 of the 3 played a couple of sports each and were very lucky to have the coaches they had who not only got the most out of them athletically but also taught them great character. I really feel blessed in this regard. We have a couple great private schools in the area and frankly I think the public schools are every bit as good or better. We have a couple teachers in the neighborhood who teach in low income areas and what they describe in those schools is amazingly different than what their own kids went through in our local school system. They tell us that the greatest differences they see between the districts are goals and expectations. That being among the parents, the students and unfortunately the school administration which where they teach have adopted very lax rules regarding grading and discipline. Much different than in our district where the ship is run tight.
