John Brennan's Security Clearance
keepthefaith replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The practice of leaving security clearances in place for former intelligence people or other insiders is questionable at best. What good can come from it except for utilizing those that can truly be trusted and of future assistance? Any incoming administration should review who from previous administrations has them and make a determination who shall keep them and for how long. Otherwise the potential for leaks and abuse just grows every year. Certainly if one is an outspoken political adversary of a new administration and/or doesn't have a good working relationship and/or was part of a group of people who conspired against an incoming administration - that person should not retain clearance. Brennan, clapper and the rest should have had their clearances revoked very early in 2017. Trump's an idiot for waiting this long. -

Despicable comments by Cuomo. That should be enough to upset a lot of New York democrats. -

The arm's a concern but McCarron's is very similar and at least in what we saw the other night AJ looked a bit slower in making the decision to throw. Nate looks like the slightly better athlete/runner than AJ to me. Ceiling of these two is probably more similar. Did anyone look closely at the film of Nate from the Carolina game and see that he seemed in such a hurry to make some throws that he was still almost back peddling when he started the throwing motion? Seems like that is something to be corrected and may help his velocity. He's a young dude, just 24. He can still improve, but yeah this is Allen's team when he shows he's ready.

I always thought she had a twinkle in her eye for Barack and vice versa. -
Yes and in a QB starved league there is ample opportunity for anyone that can play well as a starter or backup. It's a hot market to say the least. Nate and AJ are easily motivated by the chance to play and be well paid by any team. Very few stay with one team for a career. They have to expect to be moving on at some point, and until then they make the most of it.

McCarron and Peterman injured?

Same problem here. Really messed up my right ankle in a motocross crash at 15 and many years later to this day my ankle turns easily sometimes just walking on uneven ground. -

That's not the inner Tyrod. That's the broken inner tyrod after being traded to Cleveland. -
He'll need it. He's asking for $150K. That won't go very far, but you're right he'll probably raise much much more than that.

Maybe Trump should ask NFL players should watch this. World Cup track and field 2018, 4 x 100 meters, USA in lane 8, race starts at about 2:30 and watch post race celebration beginning at about 3:40. Track and field athletes don't get the coverage they deserve given how well they compete and represent our country all over the world every year.

Why is bob Foster still on the team?
keepthefaith replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm shocked at how so many here have Zay Jones on the final 53. Other than the fact that the bills spent a big draft choice on him, he hasn't done anything well. Lousy season last year catching 36% of his targets, hurt, wacky off-season incident, still hurt, likely way behind on grasping the new offense due to time missed. If anyone on this team is trade bait it's him. Prop him up best they can over the next few weeks and grab a late pick for him and move on. That to me seems like the most likely scenario. He showed very little last year and it's been downhill for him since. IMO he'll have to look very good in practice and each of the remaining games even to get into contention to stay on this team. -
The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
keepthefaith replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I find LeBron to be a great man, at least for what we know of him publicly. As for his profession, he has an incredible work ethic and strikes me as an extremely intelligent player. Off the court he's involved in a number of business interests and has supported a number of charitable causes. He also seems to be a great family man. I really admire the guy. It's a shame to me that Trump rather than firing criticisms over twitter could have instead asked LeBron to come to the white house. Maybe James wouldn't go but Trump should make some effort to resolve his public perception with minorities even though much of that negativity isn't deserved. Chances are the two of them could find some common ground.
