  1. Well, you never want to let a crisis go to waste.
  2. Enough to win. Trap game for Chargers. Bills and fans will be fired up. No Bosa. Bills win.
  3. Don't know much about him but he has a great O-lineman name. Future hall of famer.
  4. Nate's got only limited experience in actual games but there is a pattern that's formed which is he underperforms. He might be great in the coaches room, in practice and in pre-season but that has not translated into game performances. Seems to me that Nate earned his start last week and also earned his way to the bench. Allen will be harder for the Chargers to defend. He's a threat to run, he can and probably will sling it deep and he can extend plays better. I think we'll see a whole new Bills team this weekend. Home crowd, good weather, new QB and a lot of attitude after last week's butt whoopin'.
  5. Yes, but even without that he probably makes this decision.
  6. Big shock most people polled want someone else to pay for something expensive and that the uptick in poll support mirrors the big cost increases and mandates from the Obamacare rollout.
  7. Thank you. I feel much better now knowing there isn't an effing thing we can do. Why waste the energy and emotion on it. Better to invest my time reading about why the Bills suck.
  8. Today we got our renewal for our company insurance which renews 12/1. A 40% increase! Not 38% or 39%, 40 friggin percent. We had a very slight demographic shift since last year but I do mean slight. It's utterly ridiculous. We'll shop the other 3 major carriers in the state but I'll wager heavily none of them will be different in any meaningful way. It's outrageous, but just like Fedex and UPS are to shipping, we are a captive insurance market. Our choice is basically between nothing and what the monopoly offers.
  9. Reading this analysis helps one understand the complexity of effective QB play. Very possible that Allen while being the best athlete at the position may not be ready to decode the game as needed yet.
  10. Agree and Ritchie had 1 productive year left at best. The Bills had many more needs this past off-season than could be addressed through the draft and free agency. They got 3 potential difference makers in the draft in Allen, Edmunds and Phillips. If those 3 become very productive starters in a year or two, we'll look back on this draft as the best in a very long time. Obviously they need help on the O-line. Maybe there will be some line help yet this year, but it's gonna be 2019 realistically before they're competitive. Beane's done a good job of getting the Bills out from under cap issues. Whether or not these guys can pick and develop talent is an open question.
  11. So the strong armed Stafford threw 4 picks.
  12. If the Bills cut all the players who were crappy yesterday they won't be able to field a team.
  13. I've made plans for next weekend that will prevent me from being near a TV or a phone or a computer.
  14. Allen needs to work on getting rid of the ball and learn how to protect himself from injury when being sacked. If he can do those 2 things, start him.
  15. Just no. How many times does it have to be said? He doesn't have the right to wage his protest while at work and in front of his company's customers without the risk of losing his job. He's toxic because he became a terrible employee.
  16. I'm not going to defend Peterman, he played poorly. As I recall though both picks were a result of the receiver not completing his route. Ball on target, receiver just stopped or got held up in their route. Need to look at the tape ?. That and the Ravens after a couple Josh possessions played subs and stopped bringing the heat. Josh was sacked 3 times in his first several attempts. I think McD could go either way on this for the next game. It's going to be a long ugly year QB and offense-wise. They simply don't have the talent on the o-line or among the receivers.
  17. Fine with it. Other than a couple runs Josh's day yesterday was similar to Nate's. QB change won't fix this team in the short run.
  18. Yes, that is it. The media are idiots asking him questions about who starts at QB next week immediately after a game and expecting him to say much else.
  19. You're crazy. Until the Bills offense with either QB shows that it can move the ball against a defense that deploys maximum pressure on the offensive line, they won't win a game. Not hard to game plan against the Bills. Load up on the line and run or pass the defense will succeed.
  20. No QB in the history of the NFL would have led the Bills to victory or even a close game today. The Ravens were better prepared, faster and more physical in all phases of the game.
  21. Yes it is only week one but put it in perspective. Your front office, coaches and players go through a lengthy off-season of preparation. The players and coaches are selected, the player payroll is $125+ million. Months and months of work is done by all and in your first opportunity to put it all to use, you get that effort and result that we saw today? It's pathetic. It's outrageously bad. It's inexcusable. We'll see what kind of pride and determination and character this group has next week. If I were the Pegula's you'd have to scrape me off the ceiling when we all meet tomorrow.
  22. Thank you. Well said. His effort was poor. IIRC both picks were on passes thrown to him? On the 2nd he turned right, saw the defender there and kinda stopped. He's a big body, keep moving and if he positions himself just beneath the DB he's in the right position to make the catch. The first pick was similar, he appeared to end his route. He looked energized in the Carolina PS game, like he had something to prove. Needs the same effort every week. At least in his case the coaches should be able to correct his shortcomings and physically he's a tough matchup when he uses his body and plays with an attitude. What about the rest of the WR group? Zay Jones? A lot of love for him on this board all summer. I just don't get it. Can't see him starting or getting any meaningful playing time on any other team. You rarely see him get separation. He isn't good. Brady couldn't have won that game or kept it close today with these Bills offensive players. They aren't. Zay should have been cut.
  23. Until the dems regain power and decide that 15 justices on the court is the right number due to the need for increased diversity.
