  1. With Lee Smith inactive, no blocking TE, it may be telling to game plan.... Or they want avoid off sides penalties.
  2. Wow.... She has the O Line at 5? I (and Josh) hope she is right!
  3. I think one of the primary reasons for letting limited information out is to conceal how certain players are performing or progressing. If teams see a player has been running with the one and twos, and they have a need there, they might be inclined to claim him. Meanwhile the Bills may be trying to get them on their taxi squad without having other teams see what they are seeing. This year especially with the expanded squads.
  4. Cracking down makes sense, especially with regard to scouts looking for cut down day waiver claims. It could definitely impact a teams ability to sneak a guy onto the practice squad. However, I don't think the Gilmore tweet is relevant. Unless it's the 1st game (New England isn't), there will be plenty of actual game tape to see many routes run. Also. if he was serious about it he wouldn't blow his cover, he'd just keep collecting vids. It's notable he's interested and paying attention though. I doubt he's watching any Jets or Dolphins camp video.
  5. OK, so you are confirming my premise in my first post, that you just think it was luck that he has put together winning playoff teams everywhere he 's been a GM. ??
  6. So "for all the talent that was graced upon him", who was responsible for putting that together? And isn't it the coaches that are responsible for taking that talent and producing championships? GM's don't coach the talent.
  7. Me too. I got his autograph as a kid after a practice at the old Blasdell Motel field they used as a training camp in those days (hard to believe with their facilities these days https://www.thegamebeforethemoney.com/this-might-surprise-you-pro-football-training-camp-at-a-motel/ ). Years later my wife saw him at a convention he was speaking at and told him about that autograph, so he gave her another one to give me for posterity. ?
  8. So it is just a coincidence and luck that the three teams Polian was GM for were winners? Carolina in it's 2nd year to the NFC Championship, Buffalo to Super Bowls and Colts to numerous consecutive playoff appearances (8) and a Super Bowl win? Though important, drafting is only part of the role and responsibility of a GM; there is a whole lot more to the job than that, which directly impacts a team.
  9. It also hurts as he is the best option for back up Center. He really played well there when Morse was out.
  10. Bruce Smith has to be saying - why couldn't I have been playing in these huge contract times. He was well paid, but not at these exorbitant rates. Further, he consistently played at a high(er) level.
  11. Then that would imply that a vaccine will not be protective either, if true. Unless vaccine produced anti bodies last longer than those produced in the body.
  12. Chandler was also my favorite player at that time. Thanks for posting that Chandler#81! That brought back the memory of the time he said he was sitting next to a referee on a plane. The ref didn't know who he was, but in conversation was complaining of having to go to Buffalo to ref a Bills game. Bobby thought it showed the bias there was against them.
  13. You mean just like Anthony Jerome "Spud" Webb? Oh wait... ?
  14. Pete is @Kelly the Dog , the guy who does the "guest" fan perspective column in the Buff News during the season. ?
  15. ...and well defensed by Houston, not fooled.
  16. Or just do a google search on any particular player and see all the info available.
  17. I don't know, that air was playing him tight and he got free to make the catch uncontested. With the extended one hand grab, at least a 7/10.
  18. True, but Bobby Johnson was also integral in bringing Jon "Mongo" Feliciano in; they were on the Raiders together 2015-17. That turned out pretty well. I love the guy's intensity and attitude.
  19. RFA - After 1st & 2nd round tenders, in 2020 it goes to: Original-round tender: One-year contract worth the greater of (a) $2.133 million or (b) 110 percent of the player's prior-year base salary. Then.... the tender amount increases each year by the same rate of increase as the NFL salary cap, at a minimum of five percent and a maximum of 10 percent. The RFA tender would be significantly higher than the vet minimum. For example: Players with seven or more years of experience will have a minimum salary of $1.05 million in 2020 under the new deal.
  20. It would amount to 2,380,000 deaths using the lowest number projection. That's nothing to sneeze at - no pun intended.
  21. hmm... from your picture a Medium looks like it would not be very tight ? Very generous of you. Hopefully they go to someone who will often wear them, as I love seeing Bills gear on people everywhere I go across this great country.
  22. I think you meant "he's earned the right to test the market." ? It wasn't that private. ?
  23. They offered him $33 mil/yr last year and he turned it down. Was that a discount?
  24. Jacques should be real familiar with Corey Luiget. I'm thinking Sean saw an opportunity to make a change once Eric Washington became available. I was suspicious when it was announced Teerlick went back to college level. Whitecotton likely saw the situation and took a better perceived opportunity. It's rare for a team to go to another team to get an assistant coach to make a lateral move to be their assistant coach.
  25. If you dig your own ditch, you've got to sleep in it. (I love mixed metaphors) ?
