  1. Yackity Sax in Bennie Hill (not a movie but still classic)
  2. Sullivan is such a douche
  3. Maybe I misread the article and he wasn't aware of his mental issues prior to this trigger. I went back and read it again and see that it is possible that this particular event could have been the start of his depression and anxiety. Sorry for the insensitive posts if so. *post deleted
  4. Is You Ever Seen A One Eyed Woman Cry - Earl Hooker Greatest lines ever in a blues song..."is you ever seen a one eyed woman cry? Saddest thing about that woman is tears don't come out of but one eye" and "I'm gonna stop whoopin you in the morning and start back whoopin you in the afternoon" You just don't get many good songs about beating your woman until one eye swells shut and lamenting the fact that tears only come from the one remaining good eye these days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkZ-zLka54A
  5. well I am a skeptical !@#$ at times so take this for what it's worth. You are probably giving her the attention that her husband doesn't anymore. If the excitement is gone she may be looking for that "new relationship excitement" with you while avoiding any danger or changes to her current relationship. Unfortunately when it comes time to actually follow through with anything of substance you will probably be tossed aside. I've seen it happen many times and even had it happen to me once. (hence the pessimistic outlook on the situation) With that being said, if you can have fun with this and avoid getting hurt, go for it. It is not your responsibility to determine how she should be acting toward her husband. It sounds like you are pretty into this chick though and removing the emotional attachment would be difficult. Good luck and look out for your well being first and foremost!
  6. I thought the 1%ers were evil. I'm confused, should liberals hate him because he is rich and successful, or like him because he drives a hybrid. What exactly was the point the author was gunning for here?
  7. Atlantic City by The Band.
  8. Unfortunately my friend's dog died today on the way to the vet. She was showing signs of improvement over the last couple days after the chemo but all of a sudden had trouble breathing. So not only is she dealing with a lot of debt from vet bills, she is absolutely devastated after losing her best friend. I truly appreciate your response and donation Zevo.
  9. Thanks. It means a lot! I feel really bad for her and it isn't that she doesn't have a full time job and the ability to pay the normal expenses of having a pet, it is the huge costs of cancer treatment. Christmas has been cut way back and presents will be minimal this year. I know some people don't understand spending so much on a pet, but they become like family and you have an obligation to do everything feasible to give them the best life possible. I spent about $125 a month for many years to treat the Addison's Disease that my dog has. It adds up to a lot but I can't imagine letting him die due to the cost of treatment.
  10. There are few things more pitiful and self serving than the "I'm leaving" post. Do us all a favor and just leave without the drama queen bull **** post.
  11. I don't know how everyone feels about the gofundme stuff, but I have a friend that has spent a lot of money over the last few years to get her dog treatment for a heart condition and cancer. The dog is her best friend and has been with her through good times and bad. I have never asked for donations before and would not do this if it wasn't so important to me. I have given a couple hundred dollars in person and she just re-opened the page so there aren't many donations yet. This group is always incredibly supportive and caring so I thought I would reach out to you. She is very distraught and not proud of having to "beg for donations" http://www.gofundme.com/32eqi4
  12. It is nice that Simon is donating so much money to help animals, But whenever I see people supporting PETA, I can't help but think they are either immensely ignorant to the true intentions and workings of PETA or they are a horrible person. PETA is a disgusting group of hypocrites and bullies that prey on little kids and the ignorant. Sorry about the rant but PETA evokes that reaction.
  13. He eats things that would make a billy goat puke.
  14. Didn't Haslett trash Kent Hull and others with steroid allegations. I think I heard Hull and several of his ex teammates were pissed at him and I always felt Haslett was a weasel.
  15. I'm willing to bet that there is more to this story. It is just too perfectly set up as a media slam dunk. I hate to be such a skeptic but I find it hard to believe that someone who works as a mall Santa and deals with kids all day treated this girl so poorly after the dog was removed. There must have been more to the initial confrontation. Probably some back and forth between the parents and the Santa. After all, they did name their kid abcde! I'm doubting they are reasonable and accommodating. This would be a perfect platform for the family and their friend who just so happens to be a "service dog advocate" to get some major sympathy and support.
  16. Can we just institute a mandatory week long ban for anyone posting one of the asinine "in" responses?
  17. Mr Wilcots, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. Holy crap is Wilcots an embarrassment.
  18. If you get a chance to try any of the Naked Dove beers out of Canandaigua, NY, give them a try. It is a small brewery that only produces kegs. They are starting to make their way into Rochester and surrounding bars. The Naughty and Nice just came out and it is one of my favorite "Christmas Beers".
  19. Not necessarily new, but I just had it again for the first time in years...Smuttynose, Old Brown Dog. It is definitely in my top 5. I've become a fan of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale recently too.
  20. to Hackett: "Don't worry scrote. There are plenty of tards out there living kickass lives. My first wife was tarded and she's a pilot now" (idiocracy)
  21. I've been reading up and it certainly seems like the D5000 series gets rave reviews across the board. Are the stock lenses enough to provide quality pictures in most settings or do you need to have a few different options?
  22. It looks like the D5100 has been discontinued and replaced with the D5200. I did find some good deals on used and refurbished D5100s though. What are your thoughts on buying a used camera?
  23. Are there any photography junkies that can provide some recommendations to someone that is looking to move past the point and shoot camera and into something more advanced? I don't know if it is realistic, but I am hoping to get a decent DSLR set up for around $600 or less. Are there any good places to buy a used camera or is that a bad idea? The Nikon D3300 looks promising.
  24. Had my first dry aged steak at Capital Grill in NYC. It was pretty damn good!
  25. Are Hebrew National even in the same discussion as Zweigles and Sahlens? I've never tried them. I might have to give them a try apparently.
