  1. I hope I am wrong and not just being a skeptical ahole, but it seems like this situation is too strange to be true. Has anyone heard from the waitress that made the horrible request? Could anyone really be that stupid? (waitress and complaining customers) This awful story has led to a huge amount of donations. And the family does not shy away from pointing out their FB page. Is it possible that the family is embellishing the story?
  2. And to end all debate...The absolute greatest movie of all time...ROADHOUSE! Some of the best lines ever. "Pain don't hurt" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098206/quotes
  3. Brewster"s Millions Trading Places It's tough to beat Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy in their prime.
  4. Two more classics... Children Of Men Joe Dirt
  5. so my other option is Margaritaville...any advice on that general area?
  6. Ha. I probably should have known better. I did lob up a softball of a topic though!
  7. I have a pretty good job offer that would require me to relocate to the Hackensack NJ area. Does anyone live around there and have suggestions on nearby towns/cities to live in? I have done some preliminary Craigslist shopping for apartments and prices vary quite a bit within a 20 mile radius. I'm 39, single, with no kids. I'm looking to keep rent below $2500 per month. Any insight is greatly appreciated since I am going into this with no knowledge of the area other than the very basic "Hoboken is the hot spot" advice.
  8. Walt mentioned that he knew her routine and also mentioned the sweetener that she always used when he spoke to her at the end. Walt put the ricin in the sweetener pack. He knew when she went, where she sat, and what she drank. Apparently she was a woman of habit.
  9. My personal "best case scenario": - Byrd continues to fake/refuse to play through his little injury. - Gets a sliver in his ass while riding the bench. - Sliver gets infected and requires amputation of his legs. - Byrd runs over Parker with his hoverround ending his reign of terror. - Bills win the superbowl on a last second interception and TD return by whoever happens to be playing FS at that time.
  10. I'm guessing they will still allow drinking in the lots surrounding the stadium. If you park in Hammer's lot or one of the close lots, bring a full beer and crack it open as soon as you cross the street. Only 15 yards of "no open container zone". Kind of an inconvenience, but at least you can enjoy one last reasonably priced beverage while waiting to get into the stadium. They can't stop you from bringing an unopened beer across the street right?
  11. Followed by a garbage plate right next door at Hungry's!
  12. I split a $100 Superbowl square with a friend and won the final score in 2011. Netted $1700 minus a round of drinks for the 10 or so people in the bar the next evening when I picked up the money.. Also won $500 on a $5 winner takes all superbowl square this past year at the same bar.
  13. I had an Oldsmobile Aurora with the tuned down version of the Northstar V8 engine. I used to hit the speed limiter at 115-120 every once in a while on a back road near my house. That was a smooth, fast car.
  14. Get this book and pick any recipe. Ray Lampe is awesome! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0312339798?ie=UTF8&tag=drbbqcom-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0312339798
  15. Julia Roberts is not the least bit attractive and never was...Pretty Woman might be the most unwatchable garbage ever produced. Idiocracy is one of my favorite comedies/documentaries. Joe Dirt is awesome. I will watch Roadhouse whenever it is on TV...and it is on almost every weekend!
  16. I Would Do Anything For Love - meatloaf (or any meatloaf song for that matter) Do You Believe in Love - cher Cotton Eyed Joe Sorry, could't pick just one!
  17. I agree that a shotgun is a great home defense gun. I have a mossberg persuader myself. Joe Biden suggests a double barrell shotgun which is certainly not ideal for home defense. 2 shots and reload. No thanks.
  18. - "I could care less". The correct phrase is "I COULDN'T care less". If you COULD care less, then you obviously care about the issue! - Anyone over 16 with a faux hawk. - "everything happens for a reason". No ****! Just say that you have nothing significant to say or don't reply at all. - people who bring their baby to work to show their coworkers. I don't want to deal with your kid crying and/or running around while I'm trying to get work done. I get it, you procreated just like millions of others. Your baby is only interesting to you and possibly your close friends and family. To everyone else it is just another baby.
  19. Those idiotic stick figures that people put on thier cars to represent their family members. Who the hell cares that you have 3 kids 7 cats and a dog. Even worse are the disney themed ones where everyone has mickey mouse ears. People who use the express lane in the grocery store and pay with a check, have a bunch of coupons, ask to have their items split into two transactions, or aren't prepared to pay once their items are scanned. Vans with a "caution, show dogs on board" sign. Am I really supposed to drive more carefully around you due to the fact that you have a god damn show dog in you minivan? People who have a cart full of brand name soda, pre made subs or meals, candy, and junk food and proceed to pay with their food stamp card. Parents that bring their infant to a nice restaurant and don't remove the child if it starts crying and disturbing the other patrons. Parking spots designated for "expectant mothers only". If you are in need of a special parking spot due to a health condition, get a handicapped sticker like everyone else. Just because you are 1 month pregnant doesn't mean you can't walk as far as the rest of the people at your employer.
  20. This guy is incredibly ignorant... "So many gun accidents occur because guns almost never indicate whether a bullet is present in the chamber. A gun owner might remove the gun's magazine and believe the gun unloaded, when in fact it still contains one potentially deadly shot. Why not require guns to be equipped with indicator lights? Why not require that guns be designed so that they will not fire if dropped?" Almost all pistols have a loaded chamber indicator or port that allows you to view the cartridge in the chamber. Unless your gun is very old, there is a safety feature that makes it virtually impossible to fire if dropped. Even revolvers that are cocked and dropped have transfer bar safeties that prevent firing unless the trigger is fully depressed. "They ignore new technology that would render guns inoperable by anyone except their approved purchaser." I am assuming this implies the finger print reader or something of that nature. I wonder how confident the author would be with this technology if it was applied to his steering wheel. Your brakes and steering only work if the reader confirms your identity and you maintain contact at all times. Would you trust your life to this form of technology. There is a reason people prefer less mechanical and electronic crap on their fireamrms. More to go wrong. The gun safes that read your fingerprint are notoriously unreliable and always have a backup system to access the safe. "They stamp serial numbers in places where they can be effaced." Where exactly would you stamp a serial number that can be read by the gun seller, police, county clerk, etc, but cannot be affaced by a criminal?
  21. Could not agree more! If you take away the ability to protect against an attack, you should also take full responsibility for the safety of those same people.
  22. Actually it looks like the magazine ban would not grandfather anyone in. Ammunition magazines would be restricted to seven bullets, from the current 10, and current owners of higher-capacity magazines would have a year to sell them out of state. An owner caught at home with eight or more bullets in a magazine could face a misdemeanor charge. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/01/15/bill-called-toughest-gun-control-package-in-nation-passed-by-new-york-state/
