  1. And you still haven't told us of the paradise that you live in...
  2. Where do you live? I moved to NJ last may and was surprised how nice certain areas are. But I'm guessing you know nothing other than the typical stereotypes of NJ.
  3. Just watched Mario on a special on USA Network show where NFL players meet with kids that are going through difficult times. It was simply awesome. I gained even more respect for Mario and the other players that took part. Mario met with a young girl that lost her Dad in the war. She was being bullied about it. It was a very emotional and inspirational show. Very impressed!
  4. This idiotic statement always makes me cringe. Unless you have never eaten meat or worn leather, stop with the "the animal should have a gun" crap. Is it more noble to buy your meat after some anonymous factory worker kills your dinner? I'm certainly not in favor of canned hunts, but hunting and eating what you kill should not be viewed as something negative.
  5. If it saves just one life!
  6. You do realize that a shotgun can be semi automatic and they sell magazines that hold 30 rounds right? The same shotgun that your article illustrates as half as powerful as an AR-15 because of muzzle velocity? I would take my chances against an AR-15 vs a Saiga shotgun at anything less than 50 yards. The Aurora shooting also happened in a "gun free zone". **Sorry to get off topic. The ignorant anti-AR15 "facts" always get me.
  7. This is a particularly useful fact from the article..."Critics describe them as high-power weapons — in addition to firing multiple rounds quickly, their muzzle velocity is almost double that of a typical traditional shotgun". No ****! High end air rifles approach the same muzzle velocity as a shotgun too. Does that mean they are just as deadly as a shotgun? If you use the critics logic they are. See how your "facts" can be used to persuade the uninformed?
  8. I have a Bushmaster that is probably 10-15 years old. I have never had any problems with it at all and fit and finish is good. I do not put it through much punishment, just the trip to the range every so often. The AR-15 platform is simply one of the most reliable and flexible ones available. .223 ammo is relatively cheap and available. I upgraded the stock and fore end grip. I also added an EOtech holographic sight that I cannot say enough good things about. EOtechs aren't cheap, but they are worth every penny! If you are looking for a fun, reliable rifle you will be very happy with the AR-15. Check out ar15.com if you want to get more recommendations and info. It is the most informative forum that I have found for gun related topics.
  9. I've recently started listening to books on Audible since I travel more. The Martian by Andy Weir was the most entertaining book I've ever read/listened to. I am sure I will go back to it down the road. Highly recommended.
  10. The guy made a guest appearance on The League. How bad can his "stage fright" be?
  11. They aren't asking him to solve math problems or give elaborate speeches. There are lots of manual labor jobs that he could excel at with his great strength and quickness that don't require making yourself available to the media for a few minutes a week. The guy felt comfortable enough speaking on camera to appear in an episode of The League.
  12. Maybe it's just me, but most companies that I have worked for would prefer a professional and courteous employee that follows protocol in addition to being a productive money maker. They value results and professionalism but if they are forced to choose, they will choose the revenue production obviously. Not all great players or salesmen are obnoxious jackasses about the ancillary responsibilities that come with their main responsibility. ( I have no "work enemy" in mind, but I have certainly witnessed hot shot salesmen that felt they were above the rules of the company as most people in a sales environment would encounter at some point) Plenty of great players have no problem conducting the interviews and staying out of trouble. And you obviously failed to understand the analogy of a salesman missing meetings and disregarding paperwork to Lynch refusing to conduct proper interviews and follow NFL regulations. Lynch refuses to toe the line and be a good all around employee and only gets away with it because he is a great producer. I am not naïve to the fact that on field production trumps everything in the NFL.
  13. Lynch is like the arrogant douchebag salesman that skips company meetings, makes inappropriate comments, and fails to turn in proper paperwork but blows away his sales quota. A company tolerates the crap and does their best to force him to do things by the book, but ultimately the production and revenue trumps the douchebaggery.
  14. Come Together / 10 Commandments of Love from Bronx Tale biker bar fight scene...Now youz can't leave... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erL2czOyNoc
  15. Yackity Sax in Bennie Hill (not a movie but still classic)
  16. Sullivan is such a douche
  17. Maybe I misread the article and he wasn't aware of his mental issues prior to this trigger. I went back and read it again and see that it is possible that this particular event could have been the start of his depression and anxiety. Sorry for the insensitive posts if so. *post deleted
  18. Is You Ever Seen A One Eyed Woman Cry - Earl Hooker Greatest lines ever in a blues song..."is you ever seen a one eyed woman cry? Saddest thing about that woman is tears don't come out of but one eye" and "I'm gonna stop whoopin you in the morning and start back whoopin you in the afternoon" You just don't get many good songs about beating your woman until one eye swells shut and lamenting the fact that tears only come from the one remaining good eye these days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkZ-zLka54A
  19. well I am a skeptical !@#$ at times so take this for what it's worth. You are probably giving her the attention that her husband doesn't anymore. If the excitement is gone she may be looking for that "new relationship excitement" with you while avoiding any danger or changes to her current relationship. Unfortunately when it comes time to actually follow through with anything of substance you will probably be tossed aside. I've seen it happen many times and even had it happen to me once. (hence the pessimistic outlook on the situation) With that being said, if you can have fun with this and avoid getting hurt, go for it. It is not your responsibility to determine how she should be acting toward her husband. It sounds like you are pretty into this chick though and removing the emotional attachment would be difficult. Good luck and look out for your well being first and foremost!
  20. I thought the 1%ers were evil. I'm confused, should liberals hate him because he is rich and successful, or like him because he drives a hybrid. What exactly was the point the author was gunning for here?
  21. Atlantic City by The Band.
  22. Unfortunately my friend's dog died today on the way to the vet. She was showing signs of improvement over the last couple days after the chemo but all of a sudden had trouble breathing. So not only is she dealing with a lot of debt from vet bills, she is absolutely devastated after losing her best friend. I truly appreciate your response and donation Zevo.
  23. Thanks. It means a lot! I feel really bad for her and it isn't that she doesn't have a full time job and the ability to pay the normal expenses of having a pet, it is the huge costs of cancer treatment. Christmas has been cut way back and presents will be minimal this year. I know some people don't understand spending so much on a pet, but they become like family and you have an obligation to do everything feasible to give them the best life possible. I spent about $125 a month for many years to treat the Addison's Disease that my dog has. It adds up to a lot but I can't imagine letting him die due to the cost of treatment.
  24. There are few things more pitiful and self serving than the "I'm leaving" post. Do us all a favor and just leave without the drama queen bull **** post.
  25. I don't know how everyone feels about the gofundme stuff, but I have a friend that has spent a lot of money over the last few years to get her dog treatment for a heart condition and cancer. The dog is her best friend and has been with her through good times and bad. I have never asked for donations before and would not do this if it wasn't so important to me. I have given a couple hundred dollars in person and she just re-opened the page so there aren't many donations yet. This group is always incredibly supportive and caring so I thought I would reach out to you. She is very distraught and not proud of having to "beg for donations" http://www.gofundme.com/32eqi4
