Ticketmaster fees are part of the reason ticket prices are so high. I sold my tickets to the opener and to the Pittsburgh game. I netted around 300 bucks per ticket. Ticketmaster charged me a $32 fee per ticket to sell, plus they charged a $70 per ticket fee to the buyer. Twenty-five percent of the ticket cost the buyer pays ($100+) on a $400 secondary market ticket goes to Ticketmaster. I regretted selling the Titans game when I started watching on Monday night. However, I'm hoping the money I made off these two games will cover the cost of playoff tickets.

The market determines the price. If Pegula pays 1.3 billion, then that's the teams value. Forbes doesn't have access to the Bills financial statements ( or 30 other teams). Their team values are an educated guess.

I can't blame you for giving them up. I don't smoke and, no offense, I don't really like being around smokers. However, it's an outdoor stadium and there is no reason why the team can't designate a smoking area. (like they had last year)

I think he's going to be great over the last six weeks. The only reason he's not on the field is because Jackson beat him out. Fred was having an OJ/Thurman type season, which puts him in some elite company. CJ has done what the team has asked him to do. I think he's looked fine in limited action. Let him touch the ball 20-25 times a game and he'll start breaking a few long ones.

I agree. The team has improved but there is not a lot depth. The better teams build up their depth over years; we were just trying to improve from 4-12 in the off-season. The competition has a lot to do with as well. The Jets have a good D that was built to stop the spread. Demarcus Ware is a big problem to a team with injuries on the O line and not a lot of depth. It's too early to give up on the season. There is a lot that can happen in 7 weeks of football. 5-4 isn't the ideal situation to be in but it's certainly not hopeless. (If we win out, we win the division on the tie breaker over New England.)

I used to go to Albany for work frequently. There are a lot of Pats fans out there, she's probably one of them. It was a pointed and classy response.

My theory on why the local media seems to get it wrong. 1. They are all friends and they talk a lot. It's group think. A couple of them are convinced the team is going to be bad and they all believe it. 2. A lot of them seem to need validation from the national media that their opinions are "right". The problem is that most of the national media only pays attention to a hand full of teams. Thay have no idea who is on the Bills roster. 3. They're negative people by nature. A lot of the local guys remind me of the annoying dude at work you try to avoid at work because he whines a lot. 4. They've taking cheap shots at the team in the past. The team isn't cooperative after that with their request, so they try to get back at the team with more cheap shots. This also makes their job more difficult as they can't get good information on the team. A good columnist or media figure gets insiders to feed them information and opinions. No one is going to deal with you if you are unfair to them. Guys like Felser and Carruci were critical of the team but they didn't sound like WGR callers in their columns. 5. Being negative and bad mouthing the team must sell. I can't stand it but based on how a lot of people post on this board and elsewhere; people must really enjoy it.

I was watching Sportscenter at the bar last night. They had a top ten list of the best NFL games of the last 25 years. Three of them were Bills games: The Greatest Comeback (which was number one), Super Bowl XXV (which was 3rd or 4th) and the game without a punt against the 49ers (7th or 8th).

I'll be a lot happier if Roosevelt ends up on the practice squad. (It's a mistake if they let him go.) I wish Shawn Nelson could have stayed healthy. I thought he showed something when we first drafted him. I get why they let him go, however; injuries and if you have a weak O-line, you need blocking TEs. I like the fact that they want to get bigger on the O-line but I still would have kept Hangartner. If you want to get rid of him, wait until next off-season after you address the depth at that position. I wouldn't be suprised to see Buddy bring in Igor Olshansky for a try-out.

I always thought he looked undersized to play in the NFL; had some bulk but not the muscle mass. It's hard to get excited over the cut. He was a fifth round draft pick. It was an experiment. They gave him a year to improve and show that he belonged at the next level. He'll be an interesting Bills trivia question in a couple of years.

I don't get the outrage over this move. I know stats do not tell the whole story but if you sort by "receiving" on nfl.com you'll see that he was the 71th best WR in 2010, 62nd in 2009 and 19th in 2008. The later was one of his two 1000 yard seasons. I sorted based on yardage, not receptions, because he's a long ball player. (Which made him look better.) I think people give him the benefit of the doubt because he seems like a nice guy. (I'm sure he is a nice guy, I just remember when OJ was Buffalo's sweetheart. I don't know the man.) His career as a Bill makes me think of him as the Donte Whitner of the offense. Not a bad player (but not really that good either) than we spent a high draft pick to get. Flacco is a the best QB he will have played with so maybe the move will work in his favor. If it does, good for him. I don't think his performance, in Buffalo, would have been much better than last year, however. Let the young guys get their experience in the hopes that we will eventually be good again.(Plus, if we want a vet to take away playing time from the young guys, I'd rather have TO back. Even at his advanced age, he's better.)

If there is such a thing as a football scholar, they reside in Canton, Ohio. The job of the Hall of Fame is to collect artifacts, preserve the history and be a depository for information about professional football. I don't think the library belongs anywhere but Canton. Buffalo could have made just as strong an arguement, as Canton did fifty years ago, for the Hall as one of the birthplaces of the pro game. We didn't do it and the Hall belongs to Canton. I think he can make the donation for the Library and build a Bills HoF. That call might be more Russ Brandon's than Ralphs at this point. (If they figure out a way to make some money on it, they'll eventually built one.)
