  1. Around the football We did not see you at all George Wilson now starts
  2. If you're really an old time fan then you should know better: NOBODY CIRCLES THE WAGONS LIKE THE BUFFALO BILLS
  3. Sports Insiders is a good show on WECK. It's on Saturdays and Monday night. It's pure sports. Allen Wilson and Rodney McKissic are two of the better sports writers for the News, IMO. They talk a lot of Bills and UB on the show.
  4. I like him. He seems down to earth, honest and isn't afraid to speak his mind. His personality reminds me of Polian. The NFL is full of too many stuffed shirts these days who like to give canned PC answers. They may be "progressive" but there are also boring and phony. Nix is refreshing. I have no idea how well he'll draft but right now, I am a fan of the man.
  5. I'd love to see Bob Rich annouce tommorow that he's thinking of moving a MLB team to Buffalo and he's targeting the Dodgers.
  6. If we play like this all season, we're beating the Patriots at home and we're making the playoffs. They looked great tonight against a really good team. McKelvin blew it. I still like him as a player but tonight he let everyone down.
  7. I've spent a lot of time in Albany for work as well. Jillian's has walls (literally) of TVs. Bayou is my favorite bar dowtown, it's the only place I've found in Albany that serves Molson Canadian. Victory Cafe is the cheapest place to drink and has a good burger. McGeary's is a Buffalo style neighborhood bar. They actually have a pretty good Beef on Weck. They're all on or really close to Pearl St. Lark Street might be worth a look as well. There are a couple of sports bars.
  8. Reed spelled backwards is Deer. Also, John Murhpy will says that pass was "from TE to TO" at least once this season.
  9. Jack Kemp is a great man. I'm praying he gets through this.
  10. Dr. Z gave us some love I love this quote he had for the Bills from the movie Gunga Din, "Great generals, my friends, are not made of jeweled swords and mustache wax. They are made of what is here (pointing to his head) and what is there (his heart)."
  11. I just paid 1/3 of mine. I got the impression that they just want some money as a down payment, before April 1st, to reserve your seats. (You should call them up and ask.) The Bills are complete amateurs when it comes to selling tickets. I wouldn't be surprised if they are losing money because people get frustrated with them. I received a call saying I was late on my first payment. I called up the ticket office to mention that I never received the bill. "That's strange, you should have," was their response. Two days later I received an invoice via e-mail, a delivery method I never agreed to, even though the e-mail said other wise. I tried to pay 1/3 of my bill online. Ticketmaster took my CC info but charged me $0. They set me up on some payment plan, with the first payment on April 2nd. I was told when I first called that if I didn't make a payment by April 1st, I'd lose my seats. So I called the ticket office again to make a payment and reserve my seats. Because of this, I'm off the payment plan so I have to call them once a month to make a payment. I don't understand why I have to do all this work to pay them my money.
  12. The Willis draft pick only made sense if he turned into a superstar RB. We already had a decent RB in Travis Henry. Willis turn out to be a decent back. He never regained the form of his Miami years. I think that knee injury killed his career. I think our record would have been the same the last couple of years with Willis or with Henry. So yeah, I think he's a bust.
  13. Well said. I don't see why so many people are gung ho about signing big name free agents. TD signed a bunch of them to cover up his poor drafting and it got us nowhere. Another solid draft and some judicious FA signings will make us a playoff contender.
  14. Marv answered the question so that he does not lose leverage. Also, if he can't get a decent offer for Willis, he didn't insult him, so we can hopefully get a good year out of him. He also threw the fans a bone with the "that's his opinion" comment. I don't beleive ,for a second, that was the first Marv heard of Willis' interview.
  15. That's a good idea. My vote would have been for Rhodes.
  16. I saw a clip of him on the Channel 7 sports show last night. He said he asked the commish what to do when he got up on the podium, he'd never been there before. Here's a scenario for you. Polian retires from the Colts. Marv is the GM for the Bills for a few more years. When Marv decides to retire, he looks to his friends for his replacement.....
  17. The Pride of Lackawanna Jaws is one of the few talking heads that knows football. I respect the Hell out of him. It's good news that he picked us.
  18. It looks great, thanks! While we're on the subject, I wouldn't mind seeing Lee Evans or JP replace Willis, if the banner needs a 2007 Bill.
  19. I think he was a better receiver than both of them. Hopefully, next year.
  20. Congrats Thurman. The honor is well deserved and a year late.
  21. Now that JP is on the right track, I think he'll be a household name by the end of 2007. I hope he stays with the Bills his entire career. If I were going to buy a jersey, I'd consider getting his. He seems like a total class act on his show on the radio. Plus, he's a northern guy and doesn't mind the snow. It's nice to have a guy like that and not your typical FLA wimp.
