Mitch McConnell gets more ***** for being Harry Reid than Harry Reid ever did. That's exactly what's going on NOW. The previous administrations and Congresses set the precedent for this "elections have consequences" dipshittery. I'm surprised McConnell hasn't tried to get around the Senate Democrats' filibuster and pass an appropriations bill with the wall added back in via "reconciliation," as the Democrats did with the ACA. YOU created this mess. Many, many of us warned you, the ends does not justify the means. You said it does. Now ***** own it. It's been me caught in the middle several times before. Ironically, Pelosi's "leadership" was responsible the first time, too.

That's the key, that everyone STILL forgets: the President isn't emperor. He can't just do whatever he wants. There's still pretty significant checks on policy implementation, even after all the checks Obama basically nuked. Even "National Emergencies." I actually credit Trump with acting with some restraint regarding his threats to declare one. His predecessor already set ample precedent for declaring them on the stupidest of pretenses.

Yeah...no. Cognitive bias is what we see now. It doesn't explain how opposition research leads to an intelligence investigation based on sketchy FISA warrants.

I'm struggling to explain why "recognizing the marriage laws of other countries, and allowing immigrants to practice them if they are compatible with our own state laws" is actually a perfectly valid position. Largely because thanks to the precedent of "gay marriage" being a federal right, we've managed to ***** up the concept of sovereignty as applied to marriage laws. In arranged marriages in immigrants, the federal government recognizes foreign marriages as long as they're compatible with the legal definition of marriage in the state of residence, which may very well be superseded by a federal definition of marriage incompatible with the foreign definition the federal government is recognizing... I just...can't. There's a difference between legitimate teenaged marriages overseas, and abused ones for nothing more than free entry into the US (as the article describes). But arguing the legalities of it in the hash the US legal framework has been chopped in to is useless.

I hate Bernie's policies...but I probably would have voted for him over Trump or Hillary, just because he's not a complete piece of ***** like they are.

What's truly amazing is that in all the NYT's reporting, nowhere is there any evidence of anyone at the Times stopping and saying "Wait a minute...did the FBI take it on themselves to spy on the ***** president?????" Where was the oversight? Where was anyone at the FBI going to Congressional majority and minority leaders and saying "I think we might have a problem here?" There's an FBI investigation into the president being an agent of a foreign power, and Congress finds out when they do their own investigation in to the FBI investigation? And Democrats are arguing in support of that police-state tactic? Seriously...what the *****?

That leaves history, gym, and study hall. You can't even brag without ***** it up.
