He's reduced his stakes in the companies to a non-controlling level. The sanctions are being maintained on him, as they were originally levied, but are being lifted on companies he no longer owns. I remember Pelosi's tantrum in 2007 abour requiring military VIP flights to and from CA because she was Speaker. I thought Trump's letter was in part being ironic, as it's her demands 12 years ago that put her at the mercy of the overgrown man-child. It hadn't occurred to me until now that it might be an attempt to curb her greater abuses of the privilege.
