LOL @ calling Blackberry users arrogant, compared to Apple users? The problem with Blackberry is that instead of just continuing to build on what they started and not straying, they decided thathey had to chase Apple and try to beat them out. If Blackberry just continued to focus on being the device used by businesses and corporations, being a work tool, they may still be thriving today. Instead they saw the iphone and android and tried to compete with them. Unfortunately they were always a step behind and user got frustrated and left. They tried to focus more on getting a share of the teen/20 somethings that cared more about the toy (games/apps, videos and texting) then needing a tool for conducting business with. Doesn't help when the guy running your company is too busy trying to throw his money around and buy NHL teams, or renting out the ACC for a private Rolling Stones Concert for their Christmas Party

The Avalanche of coverage didn't start because VY called them the "Dream Team", it Started when they started stockpiling FA's in the offseason and fans thought they would be unstoppable. The only reason the media paid attention to VYs "Dream Team" comment and used it over and over is because they wanted something to throw back at the team to laugh at if/when they fail. Players on every team will make predicitons about there teams and say they think they can contend this year, Its not like CJ is the first person to ever say something like this.

Wow, thats truly a feat, I don't think Nathan Fillon even gets recognized in public as Nathan Fillon (except maybe the occasional Sci-Fi nerd because of Firefly) -
It sounds like the problems you have are pretty minor. Usually the way I judge it is how are the major things, Drivetrain (motor/Transmission) and Body (Rust?). If they are solid then the rest is minor. Hoses and belts are maintanance items that every car eventually needs replaced and not usually too expensive, especially if you have a basic understanding of how a wrench/screwdriver/ratchet work and can do it yourself. The way to look at it also is, would I rather spend money on maintenance once in a while, or have a car payment to make every month to own something new? Have you checked to see what her trade in value would be? Might be more economical to trade her in and keep the old car, although I doubt that, it always seems to end up costing alot more to trade them in then to just keep living with them

LT is the key to the SB.
apuszczalowski replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was something I read recently where they said that the LT position is becoming less of a critical position as it once was. Part of it was because QBs are becoming more mobile and coaches are designing offences to get rid of the ball quicker. Very few Drew Bledsoe type pocket passers that don't move and need a good LT to allow them extra time, QB's now move around alot more and can avoid the defence coming in to buy some extra time. The Steelers have been reclaiming our discarded o-line waste along with the Cardinals, their SB team had one or 2 discarded Bills turnstiles on the o-line. -
Heard that on the radio this morning So when the kids get skin cancer are tehy going to be allowed to bring their medication to the school or will that also be banned? Its funny cause growing up, they always told us to bring sunscreen when we went on field trips and were going to be out in the sun for long periods of time

I would say that the judge was wrong in this case, the puishment should have been that she let the 3 year old give the teen the haircut, not her mother -

Really? Hmmmm, I thought that in one of the versions of the comic (these days it seems theres multiple versions from different parallel universes) his character was in it and became one of the replacements for Bruce Wayne as Batman. I could be wrong though, I don't really follow comics much
-
In a couple rumors that I have heard, Its batman who doesn't make it, and it sets it up for the series to continue with Joesph Gordon-Levitt taking over. IIRC doesn't Bain break Batmans (Bruce waynes) back or neck and then the character JGL plays takes over as Batman? Whatever it is, Both Nolan and the one who plays Batman are done with the series after this one, but there are still plans of doing a Justice League movie, and they seem to want to do it the same as The Avengers, where the same actors play the characters in the movie from their individual movie. So no one is sure how this will work, but its one reason for the reboot of Superman

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark here and say your a Sox fan? Just a guess, LOL I'm just going by the perception of the teams from somewhere other then the home of that team. When talking about baseball, when you sa New York, first team thats usually brought up is the Yankees. When you say Chicago, its the Cubs. You could go back and say the same thing about Canada and baseball, it was almost always the Jays that were first over the Expos. In Basketball, its always the Lakers instead of Clippers. You do make a good point, that most of the cities with multiple teams the fan base is usually divided by the area of the City you are in, and Chicago is one of the best examples of this. As for the Knicks, I don't think that the Nets will replace them as NYs Basketball team, but I think they will steal away alot of the younger fans because of the fact that a famous celebrity is a big part of the front office/ownership, and they are marketing the team heavily to the young hip hop crowd. It would be different if some white investment baker millionaire bought the team and moved them, I don't think they would gain as much of a fan base

Belicheat Strikes Again!
apuszczalowski replied to BillsFan-4-Ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This pissed Coughlin off Its funny cause apparently it had pissed BB off too when it happened to them a couple of season ago from what I heard. Some are saying it is just BB trying to get some revenge/get back at the team that keeps beating him in the SB -
I agree that the nets are probably going to be the "trendy" team now and probably have a huge following of youth who follow the hip hop crowd because Jay-Z is affiliated with teh franchise. The Knicks will still have a huge following, especially with the older crowds, but their fan base could take a hit from the youth. Alot of the time whenever there are multiple teams in a city or state, one is always the "younger brother" to the other. Yankees/Mets, Cubs/White Sox, Rangers/Islanders, Dodgers/Any team in Cali. Most of the time its because one has been a better team then the other, but alot of it has to do with the team that was there first. They had the chance to build up their fan base and fans loyalty to the older team prevented them from leaving them for a new one.

Corner gas was great, Hiccups wasn't Favorite part of one of his standup acts was when he talks about winning the lottery I believe and how he would ride a giraffe naked through the strets wearing a viking helmet and swingng a bag of squirels. Interesting thing some don't know, he is married to Wanda from Corner Gas....... -

Seeing as how she is in Porn, and just looking at them, its obvious they are fake -
Almost seems like they are trying to get a point out or a message to the league by making horrible calls. There was a Balk called int the Jays/Braves game that walked in a run for the braves this weekend that had Gregg Zuan in the broadcast booth going nuts about because it wasn't a balk and the league has a rule that a manager is thrown out of a game for arguing Balks. There was the call a few weeks back in the A's game where teh ump kept yelling back to the manager "Its my call".... It seemed like in teh past you would say teh umps need glasses while arguing a close strike or tag, but now it makes you wonder when it seems like they are making up calls with teh excuse of "its how I saw the play" As for the Mets, saw them in TO a few weeks ago, looks like you guys were able to get Rauch and Fransico able to come in and not make everyone chalk up the game to a loss/blown save

apuszczalowski replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Dane Cook doesn't swear much in his act, but watching only a couple minutes of it will have you swearing back at it and yourself as you wonder why the F**K did I waste precious moments watching this? I second Lewis Black, saw him at Sheas a few years ago and i have always been a fan (except for the show he did recently where he judged 2 comedians debating a topic). Not everyones cup of tea, usually becuase its alot of rants that get him angry and yelling. I would have to say there are very few decent female standup comics out there, but I think its because most of them just rely on relationship humor and "woman issues" to make guys uncomfortable. Theres a few that are decent that mostly try to stay away from that stuff. And Dev/Nul, I don't think anyone would voluntarily go to see a Kathy Griffin Standup show, unless it was to throw a brick at her while she was on stage -
Because they can still get a developmental QB to develop on the Practice Squad, where you want guys who need to be developed, not wasting a roster spot and taking away a player who can play 3 positions (QB, WR, Special Teams). You can find some kid who did well at a lower level college program who might have some potential and sign them to the practice squad, very rarely do these guys actually end up your starting QB of the future. So on your active gameday roster you can have some unknown college QB taking up the 3rd QB spot, or a guy who can play 3 positions and take advantage of a rule to run your wildcat. Obviously the smart coaching move would be to use the 3rd QB spot for the next Shane Matthews, Levi Brown, Gibran Hamden, etc. You can't get enough good clipboard holders, way harder to find then depth at other positions......... Exactly, they see his ability of being able to play the position as extra depth just in case another rash of injuries happens again over the season. What make him valuable is his ability to play more then one position, and thats why he will stick around and its also why they want to take advantage of the 3rd QB rule. You can keep that spot open for a clipboard holder in the rare case both your QB's get hurt in a single game, or you can take a guy who has experience playing QB/WR/ST and running a wildcat offence, and take advantage of a new rule that could help you maybe win some more games.
-
This is really nothing new or nothing shocking. He was brought in as the 3rd QB to take advantage of the rule change last season for a "Wildcat/3rd QB". He was listed as a QB last season too until the WR's started dropping like flies and they needed some more receivers, thats when Smith moved over to practicing as a WR. He amy not be as good of a Qb as Young or Thigpen, but eh provides more to the team then either of them cause in emergency situations he can move to WR and can play Special teams too. Thats why he ends up as the 3rd QB, a position that the league now allows the player to come in and out in place of the starter, without having to permanently remove teh starter (If Fitz gets pulled for Young, Fitz can't come back in after a couple of plays. If Fitz is taken out for Smith, Smith can run a couple of plays and be taken out again to put Fitz back in) This is the reason why they brought Smith in, and the reason he did not do as great as they hoped he would have last year was because he missed a big chunk of the offseason due to the strike (didn't get a full season with the offence) and he had to sit for a few practices because he was a newly signed player. He isn't going anywhere, the only QB competition on the team is between Young and Thigpen. Winner gets the #2 job, loser moves on to find somewhere else to play. Theres no need to keep Thigpen around and waste the spot of the #3 QB (a position they want to maximise with the new rule) unless you think he can run a wildcat type formation better then Smith. He isn't anything special that IF both Fitz and Young go down to injury, you can't pick up someone about as good during the season. If they want a developmental guy like Corp or Tanney (whos now in KC), they will use a Practice Squad spot for one of them and not waste a roster spot. At the moment, Young is their "Developmental QB". If he works out, its possible he could earn a chance to take the spot away from Fitz Because Smith is a better Special Teamer and WR then Young, and then Young would have to be listed as the #3 QB on the roster to be able to run the wildcat in game without having to take Fitz out. Is Thigpen really that specialt that he needs to be kept cause you wouldn't want to risk losing him to another team, and his QB skills are so much better then Smiths that the outweigh his ability to play Special teams and WR? The entire discussion on Smith seems more like Fans are just trying to prep for their new whipping boy to eventually replace Chris "Can't do anything right" Kelsay

It would be just like almost any other NFL city with a winning team, except maybe Jacksonville....... Very few NFL teams have a problem selling out when they are consistently winning.
