  1. I don't see how this is such a surprise. Its either him or Thigpen, always has been, so one of them is getting the #2 job, the other is waived/released/cut/etc. Young has the edge in physical ability/skills, where as Thigpen may have the edge in understanding and running the offence (mental advantage). Thigpen also has the experience with the offence since he was here last year. I can't see either being cut until the very last cut day. The only way they cut one of the earlier is if one of the 2 has shown hands down that they are head and shoulders above the other, or one of them flat out can't run the the offence
  2. Quarter Billion = $250,000,000, as others have shown, other areas in the last decade have built stadiums for under 1/2 a billion. It all depends on what you build. You aren't going to get Jerry Jones monstrosity in Dallas, or something similar to the Jets/Giants stadium, but $500 mil will get you a pretty nice new outdoor stadium, possibly even a modest domed stadium. Thats 2.5-5%, basically the closing costs around here to sell a home......
  3. The world where a state senator has the power to be able to control what happens to a private business after its owner passes away and can prevent it from leaving the area? I wouldn't hold your breathe that it will be anymore then him saying that he will do whatever he can to keep the team in Buffalo, and if Goodell is there, him saying that the league will do whatever it can to help keep them where they are That all depends on what you build and where you build it. Maybe Schumer is here to announce that they have found some land that is being given to the team to build a new stadium on?
  4. And the world is suddenly slightly more intellegent after this incident...............
  5. There is one, and only one way that the Bills remain in Buffalo after Ralph passes (or eventually decides to sell), and that is someone with alot of money buys them to keep them in Buffalo. Otherwise, what else can you do? If the State forces the new owners to have to keep the team in Buffalo, they will still need someone locally to step in and buy them, probably for much less then what Ralphs family could get for the team (which could lead to Ralphs heirs having a case against the State). If enough roadblocks are put in place, and theres no one locally that could by the team, the league and Ralphs family could end up being forced to fold the franchise as a last resort, then the league can replace them with an expansion team in LA to even out the number of teams again. Unless Schumers announcement is that he (or NY State) have a deal in place to purchase the Bills from Ralph, this is just some political grandstanding to try and buy votes for the next election. It doesn't seem like its anything thats more then him giving his thoughts on how to keep the team here when the Bills front office isn't a part of this.
  6. What the Saints did does not give them an asteriks. What they did was unsportsmanlike and deserved serious punishment because its an unacceptable act, but its not cheating. Its like calling someone a criminal because they were pulled over for a speeding ticket going 10 over the posted limit. The offered cash incentives for knocking players out of games or injuring them, thats just dirty and unsportsmanlike. Players don't necessarily need extra motivation to provide a hard hit or to try and knock someone out of the game, and if it wasn't for money being exchange for these hits coming from a coach, there would never have been an issue here. Now if they had paid the referees to look the other way, or to not call penalties on them, then thats cheating and deserves and asteriks. Videotapping a teams practice secretly behind their backs, thats cheating and deserves an Asteriks
  7. Atleast he doesn't do something real stupid, like tweet that he guarantees the Bills in the playoffs this season......
  8. Well its obvioulsy not the 3 other guys on the d-line, or any of the other defenders faults
  9. take away the name and its a typical sitcom premise though the onyl thing that seems to make people against it is the idea that it takes off from the Brady Bunch because its one of the characters from the original show. They could have just pitched the show about a divorced dad with kids getting remarried to a new wife with kids, its cookie cutter sitcom premise
  10. Thats possible, but people do go out and pay good money for her CDs and to see her in concert sing that song..........
  11. Ok, so does anyone know where to get a good deal on a flight to Hollywood and where I can find the network heads? I may have a bidding wars on these ideas....... For Gilligans Island reboot, I think they have to be on a plane, who goes on small boat tours today? ABC might like this one, they can probably piece together most of the episodes just by using clips from LOST
  12. I stayed right down the street from most of the scenes in that video last May. We went down for an Indians game and went to the R&R (s/b Music)HOF. Where we were was just walking distance to the HOF and Browns stadium, also to Progressive Field and the arena where the Cavs played. It was a nice Hotel in an older building. It wasn't any worse then Buffalo. For a "big City", it was fairly quiet, and its one fo the first times I had been somewhere that most stores and businesses weren't open til 10-11am on a weekday
  13. On a slightly creepy note, she has the number 99 tatooed right next to a spot that every father would want there daughter to have a tattoo paying tribute to them
  14. Wow, all the comments below that story on their site all bash the idea saying they will have to make one of the characters Gay..... I actually don't see a problem with this premise for a show and don't see it as the usual rebooting of a dead series. The only tie to the original show seems to be that they are taking one of the characters from the original show and using them in a premise thats more of a modern day situation of the original shows premise. Its not like they are just redoing the old show. Its not like they are taking a show like say, MASH and just redoing it with the characters being in Afganistan or Iraq, or Hogans Heros taking place in Guantanimo, or The Beverly Hillbillies are more "Trailer Trash" then "country folk". man, maybe I can go work in Hollywood, I think I just came up with 3 shows for NBC/CBS/ABC next season!
  15. Are you going to ask him out to Chick-Fil-A tonight?
  16. Is this good or bad though? I often wonder if its a good thing to hear a certain aspect of the team is playing great, cause that could mean the other side of the ball wasn't able to stop them and isn't as good. Thats the problem with TC and why you can't really judge a team until it counts and they play another team. If the offence right now is looking really good, it could mean the defence isn't
  17. If the #1 and #2 QB goes down in teh same game, Smith will need to step in and be the QB...... They aren't training him to be a QB, they are having him practice as a QB to learn the offence should there become a time where he may need to come into a game and be the QB
  18. I think it has to do with a few factors. 1. We all love our pets and animals and think of them as being completly dependent on us to survive and weaker (even though your pitbull or Rottweiller can probably defend itself better against an abuser then an infant/child, and that your cat or dogs natural instinct is to catch its own food) 2. When you hear or see the kids on the commercials, you know they are from third world areas that are overly populated yet they continue to breed even though they already can't feed whats there. 3. The animal abuse is happening in our own backyard, while the starving children in Africa are on the other side of the planet. 4. You hear more stories about coroption, or that not all the money from your donations go to the starving children.
  19. People were on his case well before he even stepped on the playing field They hate teh guy because he was Nata, or one of the other guys they thought the Bills should have drafted that year, and because the draft experts said he was a reach......
  20. Before the rule change you would have been correct, but the Bills have decided to take advantage of the new rule last season that allows them to have a "wildcat QB" who can come in and out of a game without having to remove your starter from the game. They don't expect Smith to ever have to start a game at QB, if Fitz goes down, its VY or Thigpen as the starter. They don't need someone with perfect accuracy and a rocket arm to run the wildcat. If a player had those 2 attributes, they would be competing for a starting job. Now go back to showing us more proof that you would score lower then VY on the Wonderlic test......
  21. Just like he learned not to put his celebrations before the team? There would be more here running to Stevies defence for tweeting something much dumber then what Whitner has tweeted before......
  22. I agree, the Bounties weren't cheating, just unsportsmanlike and Dirty As for the SB comment, Donte never said anything about the SB, it was the Saints guy throwing that back cause its the typical response when you have nothing "Yeah, well we won a SB, what have you done?".
  23. And if he was a better passer he would be competing for starting jobs, or atleast #2 roles in the NFL, instead of being a versatile gadget player filling the 3rd QB role. The guy doesn't have to have a strong arm, or be the most accurate thrower to be the "wildcat QB".
  24. If Stevie would have said it everyone would be praising him for doing it Donte says anything, even "Hi" and people will be right there to tell him to STFU........
  25. What,, that shes overpaid or that they used the word "actress" in the same sentence with her?
