  1. maybe the Bills can get Ralph to complain to Goodell about the way the Jets treated the Bills and Bullied them in week 1, then he can go talk to Rex and the Jets and ask them to stop Bullying and play nice in Week 17
  2. and as I said previously too, theres nothing wrong with calling out the refs either, but not when that was your only plan to fight back against it happening. Had his prepared speech after the game said something like "I was taking hands to the face all day from that guy, and I went to the ref to get them to watch for it and they ignored me, so I put that linemen on his @$$ the rest of the game", no one would have been saying the guy is "soft" or whining. There wouldn't be any complaints about him whining. Instead he decided to take the route that makes him look soft by using it as an excuse for him not having an impact on the field and making it into the refs fault for not calling it
  3. great response Your right, in a physical game like football, its much better to go cry to the refs about it, and when that doesn't work, cry to the media about it all the while during the game just curl up and take it. Thats what makes you look tough and feared by opposing teams! We are talking about proffessional Linemen in the NFL here. these guys are supposed to be the mean, nasty guys, Marios reaction when the Ref ignored him should have been, fine, I will take matters into my own hands and throw this guy back onto the ground I'm guessing your one of those people that also believes the way to stop a bully in life is to run to the first adult nearby and tell on the bully, "cause violence solves nothing". I can tell you first hand that 9 out of 10 times, that just leads to more torment the next time the bully sees you Standing up for yourself works much better............
  4. So how do you get the extra RB on the active 53 man roster without using Nelsons spot or cutting someone else? Let me guess, just cut Brad Smith, He sucks!Without cutting someone or moving FJ to IR, they would need an extra roster spot to bring in a WR from outside the organisation and to bring in a RB to fill in for FJ until he can return, just so you can keep Graham on the sidelines for another week?
  5. I will try to break this down so it might be easier to understand.... -They needed someone to take FJs spot on the roster until he returns, his injury (because he isn't being placed on IR) does not open up a roster spot to sign someone new. -Nelsons injury puts him on the IR and gives them an extra roster spot to sign someone new to the roster. -On the Bills 53 man roster, they have a WR, TJ Graham who was one of the "healthy scratches" Inactives this week, they do not have any RBs on the roster outside of CJ, FJ, and Choice -Fred now will move from the active to inactive list on the 53 man roster -This frees up a spot for Graham to come in and go from the inactive "Healthy Scratch" list to the active roster -Graham now replace nelson as an active WR and gives them the same amount of WRs on the field as they had Game 1 -The Bills now can use the opening on the 53 man roster opened from Nelson being put on IR to sign White back to the team and fill in for Fj until he can come back and give them the same amount of RBs as they had in game 1 Therefore its very simple to understand, the replace an injured RB and WR with a RB and WR so they have the same amount of RBs and WRs on the roster as they did going into game 1
  6. White takes Nelsons roster spot, because they need a RB until Fred gets back since it leaves them with only 2 healthy RBs on the roster (CJ and Choice), and Graham goes from being Inactive on Sunday, to now being active to take Nelsons spot. Yes, if Easley was moved ontot the Roster he takes a spot on the 53. Thats why they didn't go out and get another WR somwehere to take Nelsons spot on the roster. They have Graham on the roster who was one of the inactives last week, and they don't have another RB who can go from inactive to active, or even one on the PS that could come up, so they had to use that open roster spot for a RB. I only used Easley and the PS in my first post to say that the bills have other options in the organisation right now for WR, but not for RB, unless you make a FB a RB or make Brad Smith into one. People seem to get upset/confused when a player is put on IR or cut, and another player of the same position isn't sign to fill it, they use the roster spot on another position Jboyst said that it seems the team is sending mixed messages when it is not. They lost a WR and RB from the active roster and replaced them with a RB and WR now on the active roster. Only difference is that they used the IR opening from a WR to sign a RB to the active roster until FJ can return
  7. well there is a group out there that was fighting to get it added to the olympics as a "sport"
  8. on the Radio this morning they said it was a heart attack
  9. Graham replaces Nelson (he was inactive last game so now this allows him to be active, Chan said he was hoping to give more time to Graham to get ready, but this puts them into a position where he is gonna have to get himself ready quicker now), and White replaces FJ They didn't have a spare RB on the bench or inactive after CJ and Choice, they have spare WRs in Graham, and Easley that can fill Nelsons roster spot
  10. So instead, he should just keep taking it and later whine to the media that teh refs wouldn't do anything about it? Yeah, thats gonna show them. No one thinks he should have pulled a Haynesworth and done something stupid to get suspended, but fighting back a little bit would have been much better then just taking ti and whining about it later on. Getting smacked in the head while wearing a helmet, facemask and pads was enough to make mario curl up in a ball.......
  11. Its not surprising. They have Graham who can dress now to replace Nelsons spot on teh field, and they need a 3rd RB to replace Jackson until he comes back. Everyone gets so upset because they think that just because you have a roster spot open up, you need to fill it with teh same position. They basically did this because they lsot one WR and one RB and replaced them with a RB and WR
  12. I have no issue with Marios complaints afterwards, and I never didn't think that he took some hands to the face. My problem, and I think many peoples biggest issues with it here is that HE JUST TOOK IT AND WHINED ABOUT IT TO THE REFS. That just makes you look weak, If the refs won't do anything about it, then you take matters into your own hands and do something about it. Knock the rookie on his back a few times, get into his face about it letting him know you can't do that and your not going to put up with it. It works so much better then just rolling over and taking it, then whining about it afterwards.
  13. I disagree, I would have copies of every single newspaper with stories about that game in it at every single players locker, make them read every word of it. These guys are proffesional players getting paid Millions to play a game, they shouldn't need coaches to get them motivated. i think this teams needs to see that no one is going to hand them anything and that they need to see and hear what people are saying about them and embarrass them more to hopefully get them fired up even more and come out angry against the Chiefs. they need to know that teh fans and media don't want to here crying or excuses like "The refs ignored me when I complained the guy was putting his hands in my face", the majority of the fans want to hear "the refs wouldn't listen to me when I told them to watch for the player putting his hands in my face, so on the next play when he did it again I slammed him back on his @$$ and proceded free and clear to take out the QB"
  14. Not that I agree with what the guy you are replying to believes, but I would say his crying after the game about the officials ignoring his complaints about the Jets linemen hitting him doesn't make it sound like he came here to get his hands dirty to play
  15. Actually, it is possible, he could have been Weedon of the Browns, and his 5.1 QB Rating......... Players with QB ratings worse then Fitz after week 1 so far - Russell Williams (62.5 in a Loss) - Andrew Luck (52.9 in a loss) - John Skelton (51.0 in a win, but was removed for Kolb) - Michael Vick (51.0 in a Win) - Ryan Tannehill (39.0 in a Loss) - Brandon Weedon (5.1 in a loss to Michael Vicks team) **In no way is this a defence of Fitzs play yesterday, I just wanted to point out some of the other poor QB play from yesterday and maybe give somewhat of a silver lining knowing that it could have been worse** A couple of extra interesting stats from yesterday - Fitzs 3 INTs tie him with Matt Stafford, Andrew Luck, and Ryan Tannehill, and one less then Vick and Weedon who each had 4 against each other in the same game - Fitzs 3 TD passes puts him among the league leaders with Brees, Romo, Ryan, and Sanchez
  16. Yeah, gotta agree. I can't say that I think Manning would make a good DE, especially with the previous neck surgery
  17. So maybe the few times they did have a pass rush it wasn't awful, How can something non-existent be considered awful?
  18. yeah, why bash Maybin like that, he had an excuse for not getting any stats, he never stepped onto the field during the actual game.... And as for him being named captain, IIRC Rex does that for every player that came from another team, they are named a captain against their former team
  19. Thanks, thats part of the joke I was making...........
  20. That should be "Ralph Wilson has Zero Long Term Debt as owner of the Buffalo Bills" Unless of course you know someone who would be interested in purchasing a team valued at $805 million (2nd lowest in the league) with cash they have laying around. The new owner will have to finance some of that money as there are very few people in the world who have that kind of money just sitting around and not tied up in other businesses or investments already. The other parts you mentioned, like the lease are issues they consider in determining the franchise being in trouble because they haven't been done yet. Its great to say they have to enter into an "Iron Clad Lease", but thats easier said then done, and not easy to do legally and might not be something both sides would want. Whats the advantage to Ralph signing an Iron Clad Lease? It lowers the value of the franchise when it comes to sell them because it limits who is going to make an offer and buy them because they either have to get it low enough that they can still afford to break the lease, or have to really want to keep them where they are. Less possible buyers, lower the amount they will be sold for. As for Erie County, they would certainly have to give some kind of perks to Ralph and the Bills in order for them to agree to a deal that could possibly lower the value for the team, and they also would have to fully agree to honor whatever is in the lease for the full terms of it so they wouldn't break the lease themselves.
  21. Makes you wonder if they did any actual testing. I bet these things are double re-inforced with the best welding............
  22. Sure........... You would have sounded more believable/reasonable if you had just said that teh Rogers Centre holds less people for football then RWS instead. I am sure that the amount the Bills were paid for those games is enough to cover what they would have made that game if it were played at RWS.
  23. The pole is on a little three-by-three stage and looks like a fantastic way to create a non-family-friendly environment. You Just have to put a flag on it and then its family friendly as a flagpole There's only one big downside. The company is warning people that the stripper has to be under 200 pounds or the platform could break. I'm sure they will come out with one that can hold more for those that like there strippers a little meatier, but otherwise this isn't much of an issue for actual strippers. The problems you would run into is when the drunk friends at the tailgate decide they are drunk enough to become strippers..... I would assume so, aren't they the "Strip Club" Capitol? Also, wasn't their club all inside a camper and not outside in teh publics view?
  24. Lol, man people here need to remove the rose colored glasses sometimes and look around at the real world. This isn't an article from Sports Illustrated making the comment because of the product they are puuting on the field, this is a business magazine thats making the comment because of the financial situation and the business side of the franchise. They are the most troubled because as they said, The Bills have a 93+ year old owner whos health has been better (and uncertainty as to whats gonna happen when hes gone), an old outdated stadium (compared to others in the league), and are in one of the smallest markets in the league thats been hit tough financially. Add all of that together and thats reason enough to give them the title of most troubled. Jacksonville - Tough market and maybe not the best stadium, but they just picked up a new owner who has committed to keeping the team there Raiders - Ownership is a little more stable then in Buffalo with family keeping the team and lloking for a new stadium, but they are in or close to one of the biggest markets and the league. if they are going to move, it will be near by to LA keeping them close enough to where they were from San Diego - Biggest problem is wanting to get a new stadium, and just like oakland, they could relocate to LA and be close enough to where they were from St Louis - They have had troubles on the field for a while, but besides an expired lease deal thats being argued/negotiated, the have an owner with the money to bid on the Dodgers so they aren't in financial troubles. Tampa - They have a newer stadium and are in a bigger market. Minneosota - Old Stadium, but in a larger market Nothing is to say that any of the teams I just listed won't run into an issue that might cause them to sell, or be moved, but right now, the chances are greastest of something happening in buffalo first because of the combination of issues.
  25. i was at that game and it happened right in front of me (well, I was in teh 300 level, but in line with where it happened) and its one fo thsoe sights you don't want to see Good to hear he is doing well cause it could have been much worse
