Looking ahead to the Colts next Sunday
apuszczalowski replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its a very winnable game. Personally, I see the Colts this year as overachievers, they are playing much better then they should be looking at their team on paper where as I see the Bills as underachievers and not playing up to what they should be. Atleast as an underachiever, if/when things change, its for the better. Hopefully the Bills come to play like they should and this game isn't going to go down to the last minute to decide it -
Hech's bat was actually pretty good for a rookie in his first look at the majors, he is a player they can use to help build from, and Escobar may be flipped, but only because they want to use Hech at SS. There was issues in ATL with Escobars attitude, but that changed in TO, there was never any concerns with his attitude in TO where they had some latin players he could hang with which could be a huge plus for him in Miami. The Marlins could have gotten much more, but looking at it the other way, the Jays are taking on alot of salary from a team looking to clear salary. Its easy to say that trades should be fair witht eh same value of players going back and forth, but in some cases just the value of the contracts being unloaded is compensation

Man missing after Bills game found dead, per WGR
apuszczalowski replied to DPR4444's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I have said it for a while now, Tailgating as we know it will be slowly fazed out by the league and newer tailgating rules/regulations, and soon the only tailgating permitted will be ones sponsored by the teams and beer companies where they can regulate the alcohol consumption. Its incidences like this that give the league and team more fuel to make changes to the tailgating that currently goes on at the stadium. As for the comment above where the person wasn't so sympathetic about the death, I kind of agree with them. I have no sympathy for people who put themselves in a position weither it be by excessive alcohol or drug use that they cannot take care of themselves. Everyone has a mother/father or other people that may grieve this persons death, it doesn't mean that I should because they put themselves in a situation by excessive drinking/drug use that could have easily been avoided. -
The Bills have a better shot at going 4-0 against the next 4 teams then they do of going 0-4 or even 1-3 over the next 4. The Bills are a better team then most give them credit for and the last 3 games have been close enough that they could have gone either way (Titans win a close one at the end, they were competitive most of the game against the Texans, They came within one bad throw of beating the Pats last week on the road). The Dolphins aren't pushovers, but the Bills have as much of a chance to beat them as the Dolphins do of winning the game. Indy has played well at times but are beatable, along with the Rams who at times have shown they aren't pushovers, but are beatable. Then theres the Jags, they are just a horrible team

Keys to tonights Bills v Phins Game
apuszczalowski replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You obviously don't get it There are no Keys to the game tonight, every team is superior and the Bills stand no chance no matter what they do. They are doomed and will lose miserably! -
I would be willing to give him a shot, He never had much of a chance with the browns, they have had horrible teams and its not like Weedon is lighting it up for them Some people always believe that if a player isn't a superstar out of school in one spot, he never will be on another team.

Exactly, you can't tie it to wins/winning percentage because building a winning team is not a simple thing to do (although there are many here that think differently and that its as simple as spending money), and many factors outside of an owners control can affect this. Just look at the Marlins last season, who thought they would end up in last in the NL East? They brought in some of the top FAs last offseason and looked great on paper. The Bills defence looked much improved over the offseason by signing the top defensive FA and changing to the defensive guru "Wanstache" (exactly what the fans wanted). Its why games are played and championships not given out in the preseason. I have no problem with municipalities helping to fund sports facilities, those facilities bring in revenue to the municipalities also and can bring in tourists too. I don't think they should be fully funded by the municipalities though, unless they are owned and operated by the municipality with the revenue going to them and teams paying a lease to use the facility. last year the Marlins did hold up their end of the deal by spending money and trying to build a competitive team, but now they pulled the plug way too early and have gone back to their old ways so far making it look like they screwed the city over in the deal.

I believe they got the Jays #3 ranked prospect (Marisnick, the 67th top prospect in MLB), their #5 ranked prospect IIRC (Nicolino), and their 8th ranked Prospect IIRC (Hechiveria). Although the deal is still very much lopsided in the Jays favour now (and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the guys they got are flipped again in another move, I could see Buerle being dealt again, or Buck, maybe even Reyes in seperate deals now like how they made teh Edwin Jackson deal with the White Sox a few years ago to flip him to St. louis for Rasmus, or moving Taylor from the Phillies in the Halladay deal to the A's for the 1st baseman, who was later flipped to the Astros for Gose), the marlins did get a couple decent players in the deal. Escobar is a good shortstop, just fell out of favour after his "eye black" incident and was considered expendable with Hech getting ready to be moved up to the majors. Hech has alot of potential with some experience at 3rd, short and 2nd, and Mathis had a great year as the backup catcher. The receive 2 very good prospects, and Alvarez, who was durable and has some really good potential. As a Jays fan, I personally love the deal and can't believe it happened (waiting for the league to veto it though, just because) because I figured the deal would require much more from the Jays to get done (it was rumored Arencibia was originally part of the deal, now they still have him to deal for an upgrade at 1st, 2nd or LF). If I was a Marlins fan though, I would be furious that they didn't get more. Its just more of the "Same old, same old" from the Marlins after promising things would change with the new stadium. I'm surprised Loria has come out saying as an excuse that the offseason is still early and that they haven't even started shopping yet. That could get a good chunk of the backlash calmed down for now.....

But think of it this way, it keeps the thread fresh and near the top, instead of letting it drop

American Horror Story Asylum
apuszczalowski replied to USMCBillsFan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I would have said Two Bills drive............ So, whats the deal with this show? I have seen the commercials for it this season but don't get what its about All the commercials have me wondering is "Why is the Guy from Maroon 5/The Voice acting in a TV show now?" -
Its only 3 nights in Phoenix/ScottsdaleI wanted to go there too, never been out that way I have never been to Vegas, and have wanted to check out the Grand Canyon so this seemed like a good choice NHL really ruined things for me though, I would have been debating staying the extra night and skipping my own Hockey game on the 10th to stay and catch the Sabres play the Coyotes Oh well, now I can get back just in time to play in my game that night It may become a future trip for a few days, but with neither of us drinking, it seemed like a bit of a waste.I was going to try and get tickets to the Saints game on monday night (She wasn't a big fan of that though)

I'm the opposite on this, I liked the last season way more then the one with Julia Styles. I liked that they went into the religious aspect with the killer and with Dexter thinking about religion.I would definitly say that the best season I have seen (I will admit that I haven't seen the first 3 seasons yet, I have them at home after stealing them from my brother) was the trinity Killer season, probably because Lithgow was incredible in that season as the Trinity Killer This season has been pretty good so far though, its interesting how things are going to play out, I just have this strong feeling that LaGuerta, and maybe others in Miami metro won't make it to the last season............

We need to see the photos
apuszczalowski replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
Not that I am complaining about the photos, but She seems pretty trashy in most of the photos, I would almost say she is "Porn Star" hot, which is basically hot because she is nude or almost nude...... -
Star Wars Episode VII planned for 2015
apuszczalowski replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Lucas is still going to be a "Creative consultant" on them, but the executive producing spot is going to someone from ET I believe I wouldn't be so sure on that, Disney is all about the promotion/marketing, so they will want to have the "loveable" characters for the children to wqant their parents to run out and buy the plush dolls and other toys of, what Lucas was trying to create with Jar-Jar. I really believe that its more then likely we will see episodes 7-9 be much closer to episodes 1-3 then episodes 4-6 -
Why is it that Fitz gets all blame?
apuszczalowski replied to UticaBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So what about the other 6 games? -
This was where I had originally planned to go on my honeymoon next week but the Fiancee nixed it, she didn't think a week there would be a fun trip (I don't really drink although there are times I wonder why I don't, and she can't drink right now so I think that turned her off of it a bit) I ended up booking 2 nights in Vegas at the Luxor, a night at the Grand Canyon, and 3 nights in Scottsdale Arizona after she nixed going to Houston this Sunday

You need to have a good balance of offence and defence. If your defence is bad (like the Pats defence and some previous GB defences), your offence better be very good to counter act the bad defence and be able to win in shootouts or not give up the ball. If your offence is bad, you need to have a good defence to keep your team in games and close (like the 49ers, or even the Ravens and Bears). The Bears are winning in spite of their offence, while the Patriots are winning in spite of their defence. I'm glad you used the term "decent" defence because if you look at the stats of yards and points given up by defences, the Giants defence isn't all that great (very bend but don't break) and that team wins because they have a great QB running an offence that can keep them in games. The Giants give up yards and over 20 points a game, but they are aggressive and can get to the QB which makes them look better. -

And a top 10 QB is a defences best friendJust ask the Pats, or do you consider them to have a top 10 defence? -

apuszczalowski replied to UticaBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hmmmm, thats funny cause I used to argue this fact with Jaurons "Bend but don't break" defence that everyone thought was "The worst ever"At that time the defence was giving up tons of yards a game, but keeping the opponent out of the endzone to where they were holding them to atleast 20 points a game, it was the offence at that time that couldn't get into the endzone and score more then 20 points. But it was all the defences fault they were losing games, and now that its the Patriots that are doing it, its ok and their defence isn't bad..... Was that not the type of 3-4 they tried to do here? I remember people saying that the 3-4 they were trying to do (a hybrid 3-4) was similar to that of what the pats used, where they could rotate in guys to switch between a 3-4 and a 4-3 when needed. The only problem with the Bills version was that they didn't have the talent to do it very well -

apuszczalowski replied to UticaBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No one is putting ALL the blame on Fitz People are just watching the games with their eyes and not just looking at stats and determining that the defence isn't just the only problem here. Yes, in the Titans game the offence scored what should have been enough points to win the game, and the defence gave up the winning TD. But instead of playing it safe to preserve the one score lead in that game, Fitz throws a timely INT and gives the Titans great Field position for the winning TD. Watching the games, and watching some of the other games with the leagues better QBs, you see a difference in the play of the QBs, guys making accurate throws that make it to the WRs. Not over/under throwing wide open WRs, leading drives down the field and being efficient with the ball. How many times does the offence get the ball and go 3 and out with it, giving it back to the other team and putting the defence back on the field? With the way the defence is playing, the offence has to help out and play to preserve the ball and keep the defence off the field Fitz isn't the only problem with the team right now, and not the only reason for the losses, but he also isn't winning games for them -
I did, His natural position is 3-4 LB, which is not the same as 4-3 LBHe is a football player who hasn't played more then a few games in many years, he can't stay healthy, and his success came playing in a 3-4, but you think he could just play a LB role in a 4-3 which is not the same as a LB in a 3-4. The closest position to being a 3-4 LB in in a 4-3 is playing as a 4-3 DE

Jason Cole rips Wanny on Howard Simon show
apuszczalowski replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That may have been true 15-20 years ago, but todays athletes are different, very few of them are playing for the love of the game anymore. They are playing for the paycheck and fame. They have been groomed throughout their lives that they are special and superstars, and the best of where they came from, probably not needing to try much to be the best player on their team. Then when they get to the pros, and they are given the huge paycheck, they feel they can still just ride their talent to the next paycheck. The players today want to be "entertainers" more then "athletes" I just think its funny how quickly the tide has turned on Wanny. last year here he was going to be the saviour because of his past resume of building a defence, now he is being thought of as worse the George Edwards. -
Will the Bills Make a Trade?

So, Wouldn't that make him a perfect fit for this roster?
