  1. It baffles me that every March people completely forget that we need to go into camp with 90 players! Need able bodies, folks!
  2. Goodell hiding in the bushes!
  3. Singletary's number came out same day at 1/$3.75M Poyer's took a couple days and was much lower than folks thought it might be. Half of Spotrac's valuation. Sherfield's took a day and is now reported at 1/$1.77M Harris' number still sitting out there. The longer it goes, the closer it gets to Sherfield
  4. I'm skipping right to the end of the thread because I assume the previous 4 pages is everyone being super happy about this re-signing, knowing we have the final piece added to the OL... edit: LOL, like clockwork, the next post.... VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
  5. It's great work if you can get it!
  6. The league is making a ton of money, is setup to make even more money in the very near future, and Goodell consistently is the fall guy that takes the heat for the owners. With those being the primary function of his job, I'm not sure I'd say he's doing a lousy job. He makes unpopular moves, but they are popular with his bosses, and that's what counts for him.
  7. Not so sure it's delusions of grandeur. Someone made a great point somewhere that said, without an agent and real representation, Lamar has basically NO endorsement deals. Even if he had an agent, he isnt a great spokesman/actor/face of a product as it is. So with that, he knows he isnt going to get many/any endorsements and has to plan on not making that money like most other QBs. That is why Watson pushed for the large, fully guaranteed contract. He DEFINITELY isnt getting any endorsement deals, and has to make all his money in the NFL alone. Jackson is following that model. So in that light, I do get where Lamar is coming from. Even though I think he is wrong in just about every other way he is handling this. I dont think the entire XFL payroll adds up to what Lamar is asking for. Not even sure the entire LEAGUE is worth $250M
  8. But he's decent in pass protect, so run a play action and keep him in to block. Trick the D and help keep Josh clean.
  9. If what you're saying is indeed accurate with regards to Beane going BPA true to his board, then we have major issues in the scouting department putting the big boards together. Especially looking at Basham over Humphrey. I dont think he has gone with pure BPA as much as he, like almost every other team, goes BPA at position of need. I think that is evidenced by Beane trading up 2 picks to get Elam in an act of semi-desperation right after watching McDuffie (his true target) go off the board and there not being many CBs with 1st round grades left. He traded up to 23 to get the best player left at a position of immediate need instead of staying at 25 and taking BPA. Granted, none of us are in the war room and certainly not in Beane's head, so we're just guessing. But this is how the situation read to me as it played out.
  10. If we're talking about Josh simply doing the drive into the pile and getting shoved from behind by our big WRs, then yeah, I'd rather have Harris instead of risking Josh. Roll outs, outside runs, etc. I'd rather have Josh. But now Harris opens us up to the play action dive fake, Josh roll out and pass/run, and defenses actually have to respect Harris's short yardage ability.
  11. But we would eat kraft dinner. We'd just eat more of it.
  12. This is exactly what I wanted in a RB signing. Let Cook and Hines move it up and down the field. But when we still inside the 5, bring in Harris.
  13. For sure, for sure. Wasnt so much trying to "debate against you" as just adding my thoughts/observations to your great work. Agreed that it is definitely Beane's approach to fill all holes with "someone" before the draft, thinking it gives him more flexibility in the draft. And I dont think that's wrong. Probably the most forethought we've seen from a GM in a while! We're pretty much on the same page. I'd love to see some draft investment into the Offense. I was banging the table for both Humphrey and Linderbam the last 2 years. But not much more I can do than sit back and trust Beane. We'll see how it goes again this May.
  14. Well, we wanted Moss to be like Harris. He was just incapable of doing the same thing.
  15. Is he a Bill Belichick RB? Absolutely.
  16. Truly appreciate doing all this leg work. 🙏 We're already a much more successful team than most on that list outside of KC (maybe Rams since they won a SB in there, but as even they would tell you: "Eff them picks"), so I dont see Comp Picks being the key to putting teams over the top. Or even the reason for keeping these teams good. Kinda worthwhile, and a nice bonus? Sure. Worth crafting your entire offseason plan and FA signings around? Absolutely not. IMO. Valid reason for fans to be picking up their torches and pitchforks? Absolutely not. IMO.
  17. lol at dick van "*****" why not **** van ****?
  18. Lump is definitely their better song. Only a couple hits out of these guys, but a decent record all around. They recently popped back up on Reddit for an AMA like a week ago.
  19. I dont disagree about waiting to see terms. That's what usually happens. One guy at a position signs, and then all the other FAs at that position sign. Same thing happened last week right after Poyer signed. All the other Safeties out there signed because the market was then set. I'm just not sure Comp Pick was in his thinking.
  20. I'd be amazed if Beane would risk blowing the deal and losing out on a guy he wanted (Harris) over the possibility of getting the 105th pick in the draft.
  21. The wailing and crying here over the mere possibility of losing a 3rd rd comp pick, when we dont even have Harris's contract numbers yet, is getting to ridiculous levels. Bills fans really need to disconnect and go enjoy Spring for a bit.
  22. Honest question: Which top teams? And is it because they have a "method" or because good teams usually lose good players and are usually too overextended to add more back?
  23. The longer it goes without getting his contract number released, the better it is for the Bills.
  24. Harris upgrades Moss's spot. And Harris is a decent upgrade over Moss. I dont know. I look at the other teams at our level and dont see anyone making much bigger moves. KC, Cincy, Philly. Cincy and Philly have both lost way more than they signed this offseason. They cant even keep up with their FA losses. KC signed an ok OT, but lost two who have better stats/profiles. Tough being at the top. If you want to have a team that wins the offseason with a bunch of sexy FA signings, you need to be at the Bears/Texans/Dolphins levels. Or like we were during the drought. No thanks.
  25. LOL, you guys and your comp picks. Honestly thought most of the comp pick talk was just sarcasm because of how little it matters. Getting your guys and shoring up the roster before the draft >>>>> Comp pick If we dont sign Harris then we likely need to use that comp pick on yet another 3rd round RB anyways, so it's all a wash. Worrying about comp picks is the new worrying about the salary cap. I'll just leave it to the pros.
