Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
DrDawkinstein replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's a breakdown a few pages back that shows a team can get him down to under $5M this year. It mostly relies on Terry once again writing a fat a$$ check. But hey, it aint my money. -

That's how I remember the Diggs trade too. Catching us by a bit of a surprise a year after it had last been mentioned. Although, I think it was easier to keep the Diggs trade under wraps since the player wasnt involved. Hopkins I'd think has a trade clause, and even if not, I'm sure the new team would want an agreement on a restructure. So a couple reasons for him to be in the know, and able to troll fans on social media. -

No, Diggs doesnt care about purely "getting targets". He cares about winning. When we are losing, and the offense has stalled, and we arent throwing to him, THEN he says "put it on my back, I GOT YOU". Having Nuk out there just opens Diggs more, and makes our offense better. -

This reminds me, I meant to include Run DMC in my honorable mentions. Beasties are one of my all time favs, but I might put them on my 90s list before my 80s? License to Ill is an absolute classic, but as you note, that shift from Paul Boutique-on gave us a truly unique, trailblazing body of work. -
A players perspective on the Bengals game
DrDawkinstein replied to Magox's topic in The Stadium Wall
When it happens in the season, you can rally. Have a players-only meeting. Take the team on a field trip. Make a cardboard cutout of your owner naked, and take off post-it notes for every win. Whatever. Unfortunately, when it happens in the playoffs, all you can do is find your reset button in the offseason and move on to next year. -

As the old saying goes "It's better to be lucky than good". And all Championship teams have a ton of luck. -

Mt. Rushmore of 80's Music
DrDawkinstein replied to BringMetheHeadofLeonLett's topic in Off the Wall
I often look at 1984 similar to 1992, as a year a ton of amazing albums were released. Some changing the future of music forever. Van Halen - 1984 Prince - Purple Rain Metallica - Ride the Lightning Madonna - Like a Virgin Sade - Diamond Life Run DMC - Run DMC The Smiths - The Smiths Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA ZZ Top - Eliminator The Police - Synchronicity Culture Club - Colour by Numbers Billy Joel - An Innocent Man Lionel Richie - Cant Slow Down Huey Lewis & The News - Sports Those were all the same year! And it's not even a complete list. -
My only solace is that it's all 3 other teams EXCEPT the Pats getting good. The AFC East being talked about as "The best division in the NFL, except for the floundering Patriots" is enough to warm my heart. We'll take care of the Dolphins and Jets as needed. Reminds me of the 90s again. And Im here for it.

Oh, we absolutely have our "favorites". The Honorary TBD Whipping Boy goes back to the discussion board days. Whether it was Edmunds and McKenzie, or Leodis McKelvin, or Lee Evans, or Chris Kelsay, or...

How? It shows a $99M dead cap hit for this year if he is released. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/green-bay-packers/aaron-rodgers-3745/ I agree that it looks like NEXT YEAR they can get out of it at pretty much any time. Although there is still $150M in guarantees, but I can see those are Option Bonuses starting in 2024.

I dont disagree with much here. But I am curious to the bold. Who do you think is getting the privilege of having their mistakes overlooked or forgotten? From what I've seen out of Bills fans over the past year, EVERY mistake by EVERY player is blown up and over-critiqued until it has been beaten into the ground. Somewhere over the last year BillsMafia decided that only ABSOLUTE PERFECTION will be tolerated (not even celebrated). I cant think of a single player that has managed to stay above it. Even Diggs and Josh.

They wont be here when we win, or they'll change their tune. We've both been here long enough to have seen it before.

A lot of Bills fans are not coping well with a single traumatic incident.

And spend 8 years of your life with Saban and Belichick, you will know technique and assignments.

Bills hosting/hosted David Edwards on visit

Looks like he had a great year in 2021, playing 100% of the offensive snaps all the way through a Super Bowl victory. Got concussed last year and shut down. Should be ok with an entire offseason of recovery as well. Could be a sneaky huge signing. -
Motor was very good in pass blocking. If he were still on the team, Harris would be our best pass blocking RB. And that isnt a knock on Motor at all.
-
You ok, @HappyDays? We got Harris and Sherfield for the price of 1 Devin Singletary. Sounds fair.
-
I'd bet good money that I could find a post from you knocking Frazier/The Bills for NOT adjusting the D when Harris was running all over us, only to turn around and use that same criticism the opposite way, to say Harris isnt that good because we didn't adjust to him... Can't win with some folks.

I'm trying to zoom in to see if I can find the $$$ info!

Ironic considering we got their KR in Hines who took McK's job. Wonder if theyll have McK on returns.

Sure, but the last part is kinda my point. It's just a single backup signing. Doesnt stop them from bringing in others.
